The collector's edition isn't so bad since it includes the first game. Almost tempted to order it even though I have KH HD 1.5 (and still have not played it...).

I'm in the same situation. It sucks that 1.5 HD has a $19.99 MSRP pretty much everywhere now so there isn't a lot of money to be made from trading it in or selling it. :wall:

 
SE has finally overplayed their hand.  I'm going to pass on this even with the steelbook.  I'm with Vigilante on this one, if anyone wants to sell their steelbook, I'm interested.

Okay, I'm new to the PS3. Are KH 1.5 Remix & 2.5 Remix essentially remasters of KH 1 & 2? Just trying to figure out where to start with this series.

Yes, they are, plus they have additional games/content: 1.5 Remix has RE: Chain of Memories + the cutscenes from 358/2 Days, while 2.5 Remix has Birth by Sleep + the cutscenes from Re: Coded. The only Kingdom Hearts game not included between those two Remix releases is Dream Drop Distance on 3DS.

Good grief, I've been thinking a lot about Kingdom Hearts lately with 2.5 coming out. I might have to order this CE. Fun fact: I don't have a PS3 and no immediate plans to get one. I wonder what the chances are of these games being ported to next Gen before KH3 comes out?

What website is this? Is it a dedicated website for just this CE? It doesn't appear to be the standard square store website...

 
Hmmm, tempting, but is this even going to be rare? The SE store STILL has the Lightning Returns and X/X-2 CEs, both of which I kind of wish I had waited on since they sell for less on eBay.

With you on that one - the LR was supposed to be "super rare" and exclusive. Nope - not so much. At least the Theatrythym one is pretty neat though! I'm glad I got that day one.

yah but if you look on ebay/amazon the ps3 sells for twice retail. xbox versions always sell less for rpgs cause sony is where its at if your an rpg lover and has a much stronger fanbase for rpgs. no im not trolling i have an xbox as well but they bailed on rpg lovers.

Absolutely agree with you here. I'm a huge RPG fan and was so happy when I got Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, and Tales of Vesperia - thought for sure that RPGs would be cross-platform "this" gen, but then I found out how wrong I was - it probably saved me a ton of $$ not buying all the ps3/ps4 rpg CEs, but missed out on a lot of good ones too! :'(

If you have the artbook version you could sell it for $20-$40 before fees used probably.

Actually the PS3 version of Lightning Returns sold out rather quickly while the Xbox 360 version never sold out. I think that just comes down to preference for the system. And like someone pointed out the PS3 version sells for double on eBay. I sold my PS3 copy for $180 when it was OOS on the online store. The SE store has also had other Collector's Editions that sold out like Theaterhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call as well as Drakengard 3 both of which went a decent amount above retail cost on the secondary market.

The FFX / X-2 CE didn't offer that much so manybe that's why ppl didn't want to pay a premium for it. It was $80 and it only came with a soundtrack and small art book. The LR CE came with a clock and artbook, Theaterhythm came with a case, and Drakengard came with other goodies.

I feel like this one will also sell out. It has the makings to sell above retail cost since it is limited to two per order and I don't think they will manufacture many considering the size and shipping costs. I ended up ordering two; they don't give a discount on shipping... :(

I don't like the artbook-case versions that Squeenix has put out since it doesn't look right with my other PS3 games, so I have the standard version.

I'm really not sure how to handle this, as the steelbook is seriously the only part of the CE that I want. I was really fortunate to get the Tales of Xillia 2 steelbook (bad example since that CE was sold in more places, I know) with the costume DLC for ~$25 on eBay, so I wonder if there's any chance of something similar happening with this CE...? :pray:

Wow! Had no idea that the PS3 version was so rare, thanks for the heads up. I was going to open mine but Gamefly had a deal on used copies for around $12, I believe. Decided to snatch that up on the cheap so I could keep my CE sealed.

 
Said screw it and bought the CE... $110 after shipping. SE is the WORST with shipping costs and, of course, they have a hold on the market due to this being exclusive to their store. Wish they'd sack up and distribute these CE's through retailers like Amazon.

I mean it's not AS valuable anymore since most people that want it already bought it but I think you can still make $30-40 on it. I still have one sealed ps3 copy that I kept. I bought the 360 CE and played that one since I played the previous two titles on 360.

He/She is correct. This is not Digital River. It's Pepitastore. And everything went through quite nicely. And looks like it's one shipping charge/option based off your location. My was $106 which is pretty how much it would've cost after tax. Also it says If you order before Nov. 24 it's pretty much guaranteed release day delivery. Sounds much better than DR
