I would rather Square use DR than these new guys. DR at least knew how to pack their shit right most of the time. Plus, they take the money upfront and money's a bit tight now with all the holiday shopping. 

Did SE offer anyone any kind of resolution for their damaged KH2.5 CE?

Are you sure they take the money right away? Not saying you're wrong, but after I pre-ordered it said I'll be charged 10 days before the ship date... something like March 3rd. I think they did me the same way with KH 2.5 iirc.

He means when they used Digital River for CE, that company would charge you straight away. The benefit of that is so you don't have to remember that sometime around March 3rd, you'll need that $100 extra in your account. Their shipping rates were outrageous but they did superb packaging.

I HOPE this company listens and package better.

No, I was talking about this new company. I just checked my CC statements to see that I wasn't crazy and for the KH2.5HD CE, they did charge me right when I placed my order (no, I didn't use PayPal).

Pepita did charge right away for KH2.5 orders (they had it noted right on the order page that it was a "pre-purchase" and not a "pre-order"). The FF Type-0 is a true pre-order. They only authorized my CC for $0.50 when I placed my order for 2 copies of the PS4 version.

There has been no resolution at all for anyone on the damaged KH2.5 CEs. People on all of the boards I frequent kept getting told it is being looked at with no ETA and no confirmation of whether the whole thing will be replaced or just the box or nothing at all.

 
Can't really justify buying this collectors edition for 100$.. I'll just take my normal copy from amazon or something atleast it still includes the ff15 demo. Will pre-order the collectors edition anyway until i officially made up my mind >_

For Square-Enix store exclusive CEs...

The Curtain Call, Kingdom Hearts, Drakengard 3 and Lightning Returns PS3 CEs sold out (I'm 90% Drakengard and Kingdom Hearts sold out prior to release, but I'm not certain about Drakengard).

The FFXIV and Lightning Returns 360 CEs dropped in price before selling out.

Considering it's a CE for what's been received as a solid Final Fantasy entry, that also has the hype of FFXV attached to it... and the bonuses are actually pretty cool... I estimate the PS4 version will sell out prior to release date. The Xbone option is a toss-up, but I think they're gonna overestimate demand for that version again.

Really nice CE for Type-0...But it hasn't been confirmed that it's a SE/Pepita exclusive, right? All I see is a comment saying, "Understandable though that you’d want options, so we’ll definitely look at the feedback for this CE." Going to hold out for now, but this is my favorite CE they've done by far. (Although that Shadow plushie from KH2.5 is adorable!)

 
ugh, even though i got in on the order 1886 glitch on BBY that gave me the game for $48, not feeling too great about the gameplay videos.  I tried it for 5 minutes at PSX too and wasn't too impressed, visually looks good but gameplay just felt really bad and janky.  This preview review isn't making it much better.  I just hope the CE does't come with any bullshit DO NOT RESALE crap on its case or disc or a different SKU that bby/GS won't recognize, since this feels like a game you play for a week or two and then trade in fast.

Funny, ever since the psx event the media has said it has improved a lot and other people who were there said they enjoyed it a lot. You're the first person I've seen say the opposite.
 
Anyone else order the Type-0 CE with PayPal? I got an order confirmation but I swear I never confirmed payment. I logged into my PayPal and then it reverted me back to the main SE page and I don't recall ever hitting submit. My PayPal transactions also do not reflect any payment made to Pepita or SE. Any ideas?

Same thing happened with mine. Got an order confirmed email from square but nothing from PayPal.

Fair enough,but me personally Id rather pay the $10 bucks and get much better customer service than what Square Enix is offering at the moment.I still have not heard anything back from them regarding my damaged KH 2.5 CE.
