On the plus side, with all these collector's editions being made these days, there's now moderately priced ones being made at sub-$100 prices that include statues, among other things. Hopefully that keeps up and it kills the trend of $200 and above collector's editions. Although I doubt it will considering people were willing to spend well above $300 on something like the Destiny Ghost Edition...

If the economy is supposed to be doing so bad, I don't see how these things sell so well. Or are some people passing on their electrical bill to pick these up? I know most people these days don't have loads of money to spare, so what the hell? Are people just that irresponsible these days? Anyway, I'll take their money...

I don't know who that clown is, but you and I typically don't run in the same circles on here because, well, you're far too whiny for me to ever want to have a lengthy conversation with. I also haven't gotten into the current generation of consoles yet. There's no appeal to me. Also, yes, it will irrefutably be a $10 piece of junk. If you think they're producing high quality items for this, then you'r sadly mistaken. I suggest going to a reputable website known for producing high quality statues with quality materials if you're seeking a high quality statue because this will be nothing more than a cheap plastic toy, just like everything else they've produced. Now if a toy is what you're seeking, then you might as well go buy one of the Batmobiles from the '90s, because they're made well enough, and you can get them for far less, and some of them actually look pretty cool too. Now me personally, I'd rather get a nice heavy, hand painted polystone statue for $100, not some cheap plastic toy...

I know more than enough about video games, although they're not my obsession. You're still just angry that I don't, and never will support Nintendo, and I will gladly take any chance to insult their business and their products. There seems to be a group of mentally slow special needs members on here including PetersHere that just post inflammatory things for the sake of posting them. They contribute nothing to the site and really should be banned, but my understanding is that they are allowed to continue because their parents begged the mods and Cheapie to let them stay. I think it's part of the socialization process that their parents want them to go through so that someday they can go down to the corner store and buy a pack of gum on their own. It's pretty sad really but I guess it's good that they have someone to talk to besides their parents and the paid helpers who visit them to provide a sponge bath once a week.

Miss the CAG of olf when deals where discussed and sometimes local CAGers would be kind enough to leave copies for other CAG's in there area, now seems SD and FW users have all migrated here. This place is talking about deals. You can talk about flipping to your hearts content at SD.

Now back on topic i wouldn't really consider this a collector edition but apparently Natsume does but im hoping there more added to the CE before the preorders open for it. It will be $10 more then the standard copy making it a msrp of $39.99

the only conclusion i came to from your collection of pictures, it that you are pro xbox/ microsoft. all i saw was green. Either that, or you favorite color is green

Actually I started off on PC (strat games), got hooked on Xbox (most of my friends are there) then got pulled in by Playstation slowly (most of my library is digital there 100ish games) and love playing steam games, also recently built a new gaming & storage PC a few months ago:

I was pretty disappointed with the last Natsume store exclusive for the last Harvest Moon game. They shipped two weeks after the regular release, it was $20 more plus tax and shipping and while it was a larger plush cow, there was no box, it was just in a plastic bag thrown in a regular shipping box with my game. I'm going to pass on this exclusive.

 
Well for anyone planning on pre-ordering Monster Hunter Collector's in-store at Gamestop, it may be an online only item.  I checked the store last Tuesday and it was still not in the system.

Off-topic, but I recommend getting a Dyson vacuum with the Allergy Kit. Use the clear attachment on the hose, and all the dust gets sucked up. For statues, I just leave the vacuum upright and hold the statue right next to the attachment.

^I use the same solution for dust. I have the Dyson Digital Slim DC59. This thing is nothing short of a miracle worker, highly recommended.

The Bloodborne CE and The Order CE are the only things listed that aren't a total rip off.  I used to buy CEs all the time, back when the $80 price point got you something like the Bioshock 1 CE with that heavy metal Big Daddy statue.  How much would they dare to charge for that today?  I'd say at least $120.

So those two $80 CEs will be the only ones I'll be getting now.

Support the $80 CE price point with me and don't buy the more expensive ones!

EDIT:  Just saw the hubub around PetersHere.  In full disclosure I have nothing to do with the guy, did not read his posts before posting this, and do not support him and his "flipping".  However, I'd reckon posting my feelings on CE prices these days is not a bannable offense.  :whistle2:k

He was silenced for disruptive behavior(not just in this thread). You are free to discuss about anything as long as you don't cause problems for other CAGs.

I'd agree and would imagine everyone supports better priced collector editions. I'm mostly in on CEs for Steelbooks and won't pay a premium for low quality items, so $80 for a Steelbook, artbook, and something like a soundtrack or DLC sounds good to me.

I went in a few times over the last few weeks and tried to do a pre-order and was told each time it wouldn't let them do it. I ended up going with the website and selecting local pickup. Everything I'm seeing is telling me this might actually work. Shrug.
