That sucks if New Egg gets left off this list of retailers yet again. I remember they got the ultra rare Borderlands 2 Ultimate Loot Edition and Darksiders 2 Collector's Edition and those were two of the fastest selling pre-orders in history. That was until the Ghost, Batmobile and a couple other recent games have set a new records for fastest sellouts.

Dragon Age was available for weeks. People on here talked all kinds of trash about it being overpriced & GS.com exclusive, but then went nuts for it as soon as it went OoS.

Edit- Sorry didn't see the reply. Check the GS website around release for copies that didn't ship b/c of bad cards.

Actually, yes they do. If an item is rare and sold out, you can expect comic book type shops and other similar stores to price the item well above MSRP if they have it. Hell, Gamestop even does it and they're one of the biggest game retailers in the business.

well two different managers at two different gamestops have told me so far whatever they had was all they were getting so it possible and best buy when they opened there preorders said it was going to be available for shipping only so seem like this one could actually be very limited

maybe that holds true for gamestop, but amazon are always good bet for availability close to release date or after release date. since some guy 's credit card/payment get reject because he is living paycheck to paycheck.

 
I love FROM Software but that Bloodborne collector's edition is some serious weaksauce for an extra $20. Considering that we got free upgrades for pre-ordering Darksouls and Darksouls II I was hoping they would have a similar deal for this.

As many people bitch about statues and RC cars and shit, you'd think this would be loved by everyone. Proof game companies can't win.

 
I like collector edition games with well made books/artbooks and in game goodies. Plastic statues/toys are usually not good enough and they can take up tons of space so I am not really a big fan of those.

Things like Alan wake LE are great.

My Ghost edition destiny just shipped. I hope I won't get a damaged copy.

Yuck, I refuse to give lamestop my money unless I absolutely have no other choice. Ill stick with my amazon pre order, maybe switch to bestbuy once they list it so I can get reward points since I have elite status for buying like 2k of TV's for work on their credit card in a pinch and slapped down my reward card when I did.

80 bucks is a tough pill to swallow for just a steelbook and a artbook. Jesus even the soundtrack is digital. But this is one of maybe 3 games coming out I will actually pre order and not just wait for the price to drop.

I was on the fence about picking up my Infinity 2.0 CE for PS4, but seeing as just about everyone is out of stock (amazon lets you place a backorder) I think I might pick it up so I don't miss out on it. I have no intention on playing it right now with all the stuff coming out in the next few weeks so I guess I'll take advantage of my 45 day return window to see if more get out there.

You can order this one through game.uk I believe. Their shipping to US isn't THAT bad. Only issue is obviously the game will be region-locked :( Still probably cheaper than trying to get one if they release this in NYC.

Nobody has this available for preorder. I checked GAME, Amazon Germany, Italy, UK, France, Spain and nobody has it as they say only 15000 copies were made.

 
Still no MH4UCE or Bloodborne CE on BB, no wonder they are falling apart when they can't even get a pre-order listing up in 2 weeks.

At least GAME does ship most of these UK CE to the US as long as it is under 1KG. There are some rare exceptions if they are extremely limited like Nintendo and they will have a disclaimer that prevents us from importing. For example, I was able to get two of the A Link Between Worlds CE from GAME with no issues. However, when it came to their Wind Waker HD CE with superior Ganondorf statue and glass dome, they refused and cancelled my order several times. It was out of stock, but the funny thing was I saw a restock and after the game was released, I tried to purchase it again and they did allow me to order it and I was able to get one.

The ONLY way I can even get a UBI Play UK exclusive is to have it mailed directly to my friend's mom in the UK. You cannot even get to their website to place the order as their UK website redirects to the US site unless you use an anonymous proxy. Then again, that is useless because you still need a US billing address that they don't have unless you use GUAM as a US territory. LOL

A lot of people are speculating that the Batmobile edition will come back in stock and I have to agree. It may not have a large window, but it will come back in spurts as they still have a very long window to fulfill those orders. If this item was numbered or had a limited amount like the Dead Space Ultra Edition, I would feel less optimistic, but nothing suggests that is the case.

I don't recall a CE having this long a window from CE announcement to the actual release date and be sold out that far in advance. I may be wrong, but I know Destiny: Ghost, BL2: Ultimate Loot Chest, Darksiders 2: CE, LOU: Pandemic Edition, etc... had a shorter window from announcement to release date and the pre-order time frame was longer than the Batmobile Edition.

Tales of Xillia 1 and Tales of Symphonies Chronicles HD CE's come to mind, as does Dragon Age Inquisition (although that was GS online exclusive.)

If you are talking about a release window, I don't believe those had a 9 month gap from announcement to release day. I was easily able to get the TOX1 and still have it unopened and the same TOS CE without having an issue as they were available for a couple of days and I would probably trade those for this game. The same with DA: Inquisition as it was sold on the GS website, while simultaneously being available for a couple days in store. Once that sold out, they opened a second pre-order window online and I was able to get an order in with no problems. I think the Batmobile did not last an entire day on any retailer site once word got out it was available for pre-order. I think it was on GS website the longest and the reason why that happened was nobody saw a huge urge to pre-order it ASAP and once it sold out fast, there was a mass hysteria and every site from Amazon to Best Buy sold out in an hour.

 
The Arkham Origins CE also sold out fairly quickly and was out of stock until about 2 weeks before release. Then after it released it seemed like everyone had them and various retailers marked them down to $40-60 (and GS converted to used as well)

That's good, now you're not supporting the idiocy that is $200 and above collector's editions. I'm a flipper and even I passed on that shit. Let those that ordered it enjoy their $10 plastic car... (why not get the game and one of the many vintage and/or collectible cars that were released in the '90s?) :rofl: The max I'm willing to support is $150, even if I'm flipping it. That's one of the many reasons I passed on the over-hyped, massively over-priced Titanfall CE, with it's huge pile of cheap plastic.

On the plus side, with all these collector's editions being made these days, there's now moderately priced ones being made at sub-$100 prices that include statues, among other things. Hopefully that keeps up and it kills the trend of $200 and above collector's editions. Although I doubt it will considering people were willing to spend well above $300 on something like the Destiny Ghost Edition...

If the economy is supposed to be doing so bad, I don't see how these things sell so well. Or are some people passing on their electrical bill to pick these up? I know most people these days don't have loads of money to spare, so what the hell? Are people just that irresponsible these days? Anyway, I'll take their money...

TOX1 and the HD CE came back in stock after release, TOX1 for quite some time, same with ESO CE which is in stock now. The console editions will be available again if they ever stick with a release date

On the plus side, with all these collector's editions being made these days, there's now moderately priced ones being made at sub-$100 prices that include statues, among other things. And yes.. the batmobile will be some $10 cheap plastic car... because you know... it's made by the same company who produced the cheap $10 TLOU statue...
