Hey I was able to go to GS today and order the inquisitor edition for shipment to my house. I showed him the link and he pulled it up on the computer. Also shipping is free this way.

I'm debating which one to get. Would've preferred the PS4 edition, but can't go wrong with the Xbone and knowing EA, the Ultimate DA Inquisition GOTY will come out next year.

That's my thoughts exactly, a GameStop online exclusive you can't go wrong with. Just like the Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition, except that was instore as well. The statue a lone is going for $400! I'll probably sell my XB1 copy of this CE, and get a PS4 copy. Or just suck it up and play it on my XB1 lol

Dammit I should have done this saved shipping as well. I read the discussions on the page and others said you have to pay for shipping even if you preorder in store (and have it shipped to home).

Doing it this way charges your card NOW instead of when it ships. That's the difference between an order on gamestop.com and a Web-In-Store order from the store register. You can use trades to pay though so that's an advantage.

Also pro tip for anyone buying any CE ever from GS that's expensive enough to trigger their free shipping. Since the package is so big GS just sends it UPS anyway so as long as you don't have to have it day 1 then it's essentially a free upgrade.

Did this with both the Injustice Fight Stick edition for PS3 in the spring when they went on sale for $35 and Tales of Xillia 2 CE in August. Doing it for Dragon Age as well.

Well darn. Here's to hoping it pops back up briefly the next couple days. I actually don't work the next 2 days so I can watch this like a hawk and snag a ps4 version hopefully.

 
Damn, I've been wanting this one for the Xbox One, actually. It's too bad I missed out on the restock. Hopefully, though, we'll see some cancellations from bouncing credit cards come closer to the release date.

Does anyone know the time interval that this is most likely to occur? I imagine they run the credit cards several days before shipment. 

 
I was so happy when my friend Shrike posted this in the DA thread in the xbox forums.  I was kicking myself for not picking it up earlier in the year, thinking that it was too expensive and not that great a CE.  Then, poof, sold out for months. 

I was able to grab one for the Xbox One.  Honestly, and not to be a downer, I don't expect these to pop up again.

There will almost certainly be one more opportunity to order as Gamestop authorizes credit cards 7 days before release and whatever payment doesn't clear within a few days after that results in a cancelled order. I would agree that it will only be a small amount of copies popping up that final time though.

Happy to help, chubby. Surprised it lasted as long as it did on XB1, since the PS4 seems to have disappeared in a few hours versus near 12 hours.

It will likely be just a handful at most, so the window of opportunity is likely to be quite small and probably will disappear in a few hours to an hour, if that long. It may not even be enough to have it go back onsite, for all we know.

The one day I didn't check. The ONE day. I've been hoping to the Old Gods that the Inquisitor's Edition would come back, checking every day, and of all days, gave up hope YESTERDAY.

I have apparently committed some karmic injustice and I am not allowed to have nice things.  :wall:

Aside from the being charged now vs. later which I don't care about, preordering this in-store should still require the shipping fees right? At least that's what I heard, but some CAGs seems to have the shipping waived when preordering in store?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I got lucky this time. Keep checking, who knows what'll happen. Only a few more weeks and maybe some of the CC's will be declined.

Any web-in-store order, regardless of price, gets free shipping when ordered in store.

Since most CE are too large to send with basic USPS, GS just sends it 2-3 day UPS anyway so you don't have to pay for shipping unless you want it overnighted to have day one.

Haven't purchased a wrestling game I think since the N64, but jumped on this one when it was first released.  Couldn't pass up the chance to own a Hulk signature + a limited piece of the ring.  It also gives me a reason to actually own 4 controllers (I think?) for the X1 since they haven't given me any reason to have them thus far. :)

Does anyone here have experience with trying to change a credit card on a gamestop.com pre order? Card used back in the spring to order DA Inquisitior Edition has been changed and I tried to change it today just realzing it needed changing and I get an error message to call customer service.

Last two GS exclusive CE's (Grand Theft Auto V and Last of Us) are still worth insane amounts of money. Used, complete copies of GTA V (minus DLC) go for about $150 on Amazon, and the DLC by itself can sell for around $100-$140, since it's still exclusive as far as I know. Last of Us Post-Pandemic used, complete (w/statue and Steelbook) is at $500 on Amazon.

Bioware also did this deal with Gamestop for Mass Effect 1 and that CE held its value for a long time, although now it's a cheap buy. I sold it complete and used right before ME 3 released and got $200 for it, but it's now in the $30-$40 range.

There were extinuating circumstances there however; the oversized tin case made it hard to display on a shelf (and if you took the disc holder out that was thin cardboard/plastic so that packaging would damage,) the content on the bonus disk was re-released in the Platinum Hits version of the game (along with two extra videos and the first DLC pack,) and there was a large artbook that was packaged with the strategy guide for about a $15 higher MSRP at launch so the mini artbook in the CE was pretty much useless as collector's just got the large artbook instead (which sells for about $50 used.) That leaves the mini-history timeline book, which can be looked up on the Mass Effect wiki easily.

This CE comes with the game in its normal case, plus an exclusive Steelbook a la Borderlands 2 so displaying the game won't be an issue. I suspect Dragon Age Inquisitor Edition will be worth somewhere between what the GTA V and LoU CE's are worth.
