Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this, but yeah, since this is on their Kickstarter only, for those getting the Physical release of Clannad on PC, you'll have it as the Limited Edition that the JP version has with the game, guidebook, and arrange soundtrack, an english mock-up of it will be posted if and when they are available. Note: You can pledge $50 to get the Physical release. (as of post, 55 days to get this, so until 1/10/15 to purchase the Physical LE from there.)

Here's the Update Post #3 to see what the LE would look like if its to have its English Version. (Though its the JP one for example.)

But yeah, I've also mentioned this on the JP deals thread, but some people I guess, ignored it, but yeah, it looks good too, also there a 3 disk OST set Physically for $35 ($25 for digital), but you have to add that seperately though, how, I dunno, I've also never pledged a KS thing either, but I might go for it too, maybe! X3

I was initially content on passing because I watched the anime adaptation (including After Story) and it's my most favorite thing in ever, but seeing that we would be getting the LE version of the game...that got me thinking.

 
FYI, for anyone who missed out on ordering the DAI Inquisitor's Edition, GS.com has the Inquisitor's COMPLETE Edition for $209.98 for :xb1: & :ps4: :

A quite pricey way of getting this edition, but it's better than nothing.  I'll also see if GS will let me return the OSG for a refund (unless it is just spectacular).

Also, this OSG is not to be confused with the "Dragon Age Inquisition Official Strategy Guide Inquisitor Edition" that costs a bunch more. :)

^ Just so I understand... the DA: Inquisition CE is more of a "merchandise" CE... like Dead Space 3 Dev Team and Wolfenstein Panzerhund correct? The only difference between this is fulfilled by Gamestop instead of TreeHouse Brand Stores and they are including the game (packaged separately of course).

Not shitting on the CE, I like them like this but it kind of hurts the conductibility down the road since there is far less value in keeping it sealed.

So what's linked above is the same as the CE (includes game, merchandise) but also official strategy guide? Is the strategy guide really priced at $59.99?

They're pricing it for $39.99. 169.99 -> 209.99. A bit steeper than amazon at ~$28 for the guide, but worth it if you really want the CE stuffs.

Okay thank you. For some dumb reason I thought the CE's MSRP was $150; but if it's $180 that makes a lot more sense to me.

Except you can get 2.5 for $32 with GCU and 1.5 for $13.50 (used) or $16 (new, if possible) with GCU. So, that's $48, making it $52 to get this CE. I don't care about the plush or the art book, so I can't justify $52 for that steelbook. If it was available at Best Buy, and GCU would drop it to $80, I'd probably get it.

 
Ordered the KH CE. Never played any of the KH games before, and honestly with my huge backlog I probably will only play 1 and maybe 2. But at that price and all the goods it comes with (that steelbook looks beautiful) seems pretty good.

I don't think retailers or manufacturers factor in your "GCU" price. As far as they are concerned they are making a bundle based on MSRP pricing to make profits. To tell you the truth we are spoiled when it comes to the GCU discount. I love my discount but it makes some of us feel entitled. I get it, we are all cheap ass gamers but every gamer doesn't have GCU. I think that was the point of the poster saying the package is feasible.

Yes, but there's shipping costs too. Even considering the $40 MSRP for 2.5, and $20 for 1.5, it's still a $50 difference. That's also not taking into account the target audience of this set would already have 1.5, so it really is a $70 difference.

I'm not really defending the price either. It is overpriced and the shipping costs as you pointed out are kinda ridiculous. While we are factoring in the price of the two games, many of us seem to be overlooking the main pull of the collector's edition which is the art book, plush, and steelbook.

Square Enix can charge a premium because they know people will buy it, simple as that.

If you preordered the Hulkamania edition it may of already been charged to your card if you did an online preorder that isn't pick up in store. GS charged all the DA: I CE preorders on Thursday. Not sure when BB or Amazon would charge for a CE coming out Tuesday.

Never have understood why some CE's get beat to death in this thread about being a ripoff or overpriced or whatever while others seem to go by unphased. Can't we just agree that everyone values things differently and move on? IMO the pricing on the KH set is FAR more reasonable than the Inquisitor's Edition of DA, but I don't care that ppl wanted to buy that set. It's not like they're spending my money...

Yeah I don't get this either. There's always something for everyone.

As far as the KH CE is concerned, I heard that the plush alone (assuming it's the same size listed on Amazon) goes for around $30! You REALLY just need to add up the values, but most of the time people just assume "well x item 'SHOULD' only be worth y amount!!" Half the time, I don't think people know how much these things cost to manufacture and produce :/

Agreed. I think some are overlooking that it's a store exclusive for a franchise with a lot of fans, not to mention people who collect Steelbooks and collector editions in general. I do think they made a mistake by not just making this a true 1.5/2.5 collector edition and including 1.5 on the spine of the Steelbook and other packaging/items.

I agree there, but my point wasn't based on a retailer's opinion. It was based on how the person I replied to presented the pair of games at MSRP, where as the price most of us (since most seem to use GCU) will pay is not MSRP.

 
I'm having second thoughts about the Persona Q CE. No steelbook, cheap artbook, case... eh. I'll mull it over.

If so, definitely going Best Buy with GCU. Any chance BB tries to shove that into a padded envelope?

I'd say no, but Amazon did with Bravely Default, so you never know.

The PS4 & XBOX One Batmobile Batman: Arkham Knight versions are up for preorder on Walmart. I can't post links since this is my first post ever but I haven't seen it mentioned here yet.

Tempting. Grab one now to lock in a pre order or waiting until Best Buy (Hopefully) gets them in stock.

yeah I got in on the glitch when it was priced at $40, and I still cancelled mine. I really like my slim 3DS XL case so wouldn't swap to this one which looks like a pedo advertisement, plus I didn't really like Persona 4 at all so dunno if I'd like Q. I doubt i'll play it in the next six months, so may as well wait and see if it gets clearance'd out.

I don't think a lot of people are going to be into this game, and recently with so many resellers preordering and cancelling at the last minute when ebay sales don't pan out, I think places like amazon are gonna have huge amounts of overstock to clear out.

keep in mind best buy still has the LEs for sale ($100, $80 GCU) which comes with a batman statue instead of the batmobile, but everything else is the same. $120 for a batmobile toy seems crazy.

It should also be noted that Walmart is really bad with their online preorder system. They cancelled a ton of the Destiny preorders. I remember when I ordered the Diablo 3 CE, they cancelled on me too.

This really makes some of the higher digital tiers seem like not-so-great deals. Regardless, I'm definitely in for this one now.
