Uhh I been regulary active on here over 5 years as many people have. Sending PMs to that many people isn't practical.
I'm not sure how regular though, that is a pretty old topic. We're all about praising Best Buy and jumping for joy that our MM games/consoles are coming in!

Phantasy Star IV is my favorite game of all time.
I could never get over PS3, LOVED that game to the point it burned me out and I don't think I ever play PS4.

On a somewhat related note, I still have a copy of PS1 for SMS and I casually asked the "boutique" game store in town what they would give me for it and they said fair market value. I dropped the subject immediately after that. :)

Late to respond, but Titanfall vs The Order is a bit different. Titanfall was continually updated for months (and may still be getting updates), adding new game modes at no charge. The Order doesn't sound like that's going to happen.

I love single player, but if it's short and doesn't look interesting to me... not worth it. Especially when I can invest over 100 hours in a game like Dragon Age for the same price. And still have multiplayer and more playthroughs to go.

Of course, that's not the norm. But I'd at least expect new game+ or co-op or SOMETHING more.

While PS3 was an amazing game and incredibly ahead of it's time in many ways, PS4 is just such a great game. God damn it, I wish I was a kid and could play all these games again for the first time.

Sorry for the derailing question but has there been any update on the replacement KH2.5 HD CE boxes?
Yeah, I got my replacement box a long time ago. You're suppose to contact square enix customer report and they will fedex you a replacement box.

Is it me or are there a few posters riding the coat tails of "game is too short" that are also very active in the XB1 thread?
In the same regard, those supporting it are active in the PS4 thread. I'd be more suspicious of justifications without real cause. So far, the only valid reason to buy it that I've heard is "I'm essentially renting it by trading it in ASAP."

To put things in perspective, these are the kind of features I'd expect from a game with a shorter campaign:

-Multiplayer (Co-op or competitive)

-Content updates (free)

-New Game+ (especially with games that have collectibles)

-Non-linear story

-Consequential choices for character development that leads to different gameplay styles

From everything I've heard, all of these things are missing. Those referencing "The Last Of Us" are forgetting that it had New Game+, multiplayer, and choices in character development.

Is it really that surprising that those not riding the fanboy train are critical since it's missing so much compared to other games at that price point?

I usually don't play New Game+, spend much time in multiplayer, or replay games I've beaten.. Adding that stuff in would subtract from my feeling that I've had a complete experience..

I work, I cook, I clean.. I don't get a lot of free time and this isn't my only hobby..

I place higher value on things I can enjoy and finish before they drag on into tedium.. so I'd sooner pay full price for a 5 hour game than I would a 60 hour one.. (Demon'sSouls/DarkSouls/BloodBorne excluded.. They're like my Elder Scrolls.. >.>)

Seriously? I did contact them and they told me it would take some time. This was over a month ago. fucking assholes...

I'm not sure those of us who defended are "fanboys" you can ask several people here I have never been called a ps4 fanboy and i am just as quick to defend my xbox one! In fact if i was labeled a fanboy of anything it would xbox. I would argue those of us defending this game are 1. Older gamers who have busy lives and don't necessarily look at length as a good measure of a game. Some of the best games I've played have been 10-20 hour games tops. I dont really have time to get into 30 hour plus games anymore (Dragon age inquisition proved that to me) 2. We're gamers who would rather have a great game that is short and high quality than a game that is long and poorly made. I for one am tired of AAA titles coming out broken and poorly made. I haven't played the order yet so I can't speak for its glitches or not but from my experience many of the shorter games that have come out have been finished games with few glitches and breaks. For example i enjoyed wolfenstien much more than i did battlefield 4 because of all the issues early in the game. Many of us would rather have a shorter complete product than a hyped AAA promise with a $60 price tag. 3. I think alot of us are excited to see a new game not a sequel. I get tired of playing the same games with new skins and here we have something new and i for one like that.

Its not being a fanboy to say what qualities I look for in a game. I said many of the things i just said when people were attacking Ryse son of Rome a little over a year ago. Lots of people would genuinely like a good short game over a long ok game.

Then don't buy the dang game. It's that simple. Gamers today whine over the dumbest stuff. There are more important things to worry about then the length of a video game. I couldn't care less how long a game is as long as the time I spend on it is fun and enjoyable. Ryse was short but I enjoyed it. Ground zero was really short but I loved every minute. As long as this game has a captivating story I'll be happy. For a psp developers first foray into console games I am excited to see how they do.

Quoted for truth.

If you don't like the game, don't buy it. If you're not sure, read reviews. If still not sure, don't buy the CE and leave it for others who will buy it.

How about we let the order come, play it, and then decide how it is.

There could be lots of unconfirmed elements we don't know about.

My MMCE finally came in the mail today, and I'm happy to say it's in amazing condition. I was planning on opening the thing up before I got it, but I changed my mind and decided to just keep it sealed and wait to buy a cheap copy of the game at a later date. It's just too beautiful to open  ! Now I have to hope Gamestop sends my guide soon.

I've randomly been checking Amazon the last few days for the MH4U CE. I got lucky and it came back in stock today around 11:30pm EST for quite literally 2-3 minutes. Managed to put in an order for one. At first it said "order will take an additonal 1-2 days to process" and they were expecting more on the 21st with an estimated delivery date on the 25th, but then I got another email a few minutes ago saying that the estimated delivery date is being updated to the 20th.

I already got the MH4U LE N3DS console last week so I'm double dipping on the game which I usually don't do but I really wanted all the CE goodies :X

I've heard the statue is terrible.

Yeah really hate that double dipping with game. Originaly I wanted the CE, then I decided it was not worth it. I'll just get the pin somehow to complete my collection.

FF 3 was like $80 on SNES. My parents wouldn't buy it for me. A few months after it released my local video store was selling a complete used copy for $20 and I almost cried as I bought it.
Game pricing in general causes a lot of drama. Even Duke Nukem PS3/360 cost $60 (for a few hours). I remember an F1 game developed by an Australian company that cost $30 on PS2 and it received little attention because it was a budget racing game, until F1 fans checked it out and word spread about it being a great racing game.

Anyone remember in 2012 all the complaining about the Borderlands 2 ULC costing $150, and the complaining about it selling out......this year the $400 claptrap ce sells out twice as fast.

Ordered two MM LEs from BestBuy, one to me and one to a friend in a different state, and still no shipping update for either. Charge had been pending since before release, randomly went away yesterday yet came back today. Worth an email to them or is it pretty much confirmed limbo at this point?

Got my free MM LE game from BBY yesterday. Overall no damage at all. Very pleased with the situation!
Please refresh my memory why Best Buy sent out free copies of the game? Was it because they sent an email to certain people saying it was canceled, even though it wasn't, and a decided to give everyone affected a free copy of the game because of "emotional trauma" or something?

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I talked to them already and was told estimated delivery is the 23rd. I don't understand why it hasn't already shipped though. Why would they have an estimated delivery of a week away but still not have even shipped it yet? Makes no sense. I should ask and complain some more but I'm too lazy at the moment.

Both my MM LE and MH4U CE haven't shipped from Amazon, still I`m not in a rush at all. I just hope MM doesn't arrive in bad condition.

Short version yes.

It was not traumatic but it did piss me and a lot of people off. I only ordered 1 copy, for myself, no intention to resell. I ordered it day 1 as soon as it was posted on BBY. Two days before release (Wednesday last week) BBY sends cancellation emails.

I along with many others were left without any place to get the LE game unless we wanted to spend $120+ on ebay. If BBY cancelled it a few days after ordered we could have hoped Amazon or GS or whatever had it available again.

So did they need to do this? No of course not, but to me that just shows that BBY will do what it can when it can to go above and beyond to provide amazing customer service.

So did they need to do this? No of course not, but to me that just shows that BBY will do what it can when it can to go above and beyond to provide amazing customer service.
It is kinda funny how some of us loose all concentration and sleep over things like this, but we do.

I was sweating watching all of the posts about cancellations. When mine did not, luckily, I was still worried but nothing on the scale of having to figure out how to get a copy at the last minute. Everyone who had theirs cancelled and was sweating bullets deserved something. I am just glad to see that BBY, frankly, went above and beyond.

A similar thing happened with my MGR CE and GOW3 CE pre-orders a while back. BBY sent me both for free and accidentally sent an extra MGR. The store was shocked when I went in to return the extra for a $0 refund. I guess that is why I keep going back. They didn't have to do anything, but they did.

Short version yes.

I agree, pretty amazing customer service. Not sure if it was the smartest business decision to take a loss on each one when a similar outcome could have been achieved by simply reinstating the order and sending, say a $20 gift card, to those that were affected. Kudos to them for going above and beyond. Something Fry's and Target failed to do.

Any word if Amazon or Best Buy will receive more Final Fantasy Type-0 CE in stock? With GameStop charging an additional $10 (assholes!) and the S-E store having a poor shipping rep. I'm feel stuck on what to do. With it being out of stock for so long on AM/BB, it seems like this will end up a pretty rare CE, no? Any thoughts? Or maybe a promo code to use on a GameStop pre-order?

It is something no retailer has ever done in my experience. Not even amazon.

more then likely not until closer to few days before release when insufficient funds and canceled orders become available again but it also possible that wont happen either.
