The Arkham City CE is still easily obtainable for below MSRP. I remember when Best Buy had tons of them long after release for cheap. Arkham Origins CE is also still easily obtainable for below MSRP.

So far, the only Arkham CE that had anything of any "quality" would've been the Arkham City CE where Kotobukiya provided the statue. The Arkham Asylum CE came with that cheap plastic Batarang that was scratched to hell - the scratches were spun to be "intentional" to show that the batarang was battle-damaged.... Why they can't get this right is beyond me.

Right but after 90 days ebay deletes all record of the transaction occurring at all and I'm pretty sure we're near that time time if not well past it. After that point you can't even print a shipping label from ebay. That's my concern really and Ebay's stance is that neither party should be agreeing to something that won't be delievered in 30 days so they're gonna wash their hands on the whole thing.

TriForce is doing the status? After their crap they did with the DA: I Inquisitor Edition broken pieces, still not having replacements out going on 6-7 months after release, I'd be wary of the CE for that alone.

Plus, now the mess with the Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition going into a long sleep, I think this is another sign in drop of TriForce quality.

It was, though they're also doing the Halo 5 CE statue, so you might want to keep that in mind for anyone thinking about that CE. I think that pretty much coffin-nailed my thoughts about getting it.

 
Man, that's a bummer, I was really looking forward to that Batmobile. Money saved I suppose.

The joke is definitely on people that sold pre-orders on eBay. Hopefully they didn't spend that money already.

LE comes with a disc, CE comes with a download code. Otherwise, save the statue and box in the CE, they are the same.

Shoot, I have the batmobile preorder at Gamestop since I missed out on Amazon. I doubt GS will give compensations like Amazon, will let you guys know when I hear from them.

 
cant believe they cancelled the special edition, I actually cancelled my limited edition pre order recently, not going to support bullshit stuff they are doing

 
I really hope that the publisher eats all these "credits" being handed out. Other wise the retailers are getting punished for a publisher mistake
 
I think the only positive thing to come out of this is the damage to resellers. All of those who preorder a boatload of copies and sell them on ebay as preorders, essentially making them unavailable for other people. This is coming from someone who had to pay $150 (!!!!!!!) for fucking Retro City Rampage on PS4.

I wish I had this pre-ordered at BBY or Amazon, since they usually give you something for cancellations. GS won't do squat. 

 
So i saw the email that was sent to Gamestop about the Batmobile cancellations.  Basically it was due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly comprised the quality of this extremely limited run of product.  It also said that they would be providing everyone who purchased batman: Arkham Knight with the new 52 skin back free of charge.......

I thought you were referring to XIV. I know very little on the Batman series.
 
I am sorry, but a New 52 skin pack is poor replacement. They should give us season passes for free. I've had $213 tied up in this thing since the day it was announced. This is BS.

From what I've seen the Batmobile was a complicated piece of plastic, had moving parts and everything. The LE just has a statue, probably zero moving parts.

Seriously. I joked about it but this is in no way the retailer's fault. It's hard to even say that this is WB's fault at this point. Who knows, it could have been that the manufacturer sent out a few good units to WB but the final shipment was complete shit.

Agreed.. My point is.. Don't take it out on the retailer.. And definitely dont take it out on the associate in store or in the call center. Even though I know that is going to happen lol

WB should give something, but a retailer giving a small token to customers is just good practice. If Amazon and best buy give $20 credit and GameStop give a digital skin guess which retailer the customer is going to pre order from in the future if they have a choice. It's not like there were millions of batmobiles so I would just charge it to good PR and give a small token that sits well with the customers.

Totally agree, that's why I put quotes around "need". The attitude shouldn't be to demand it of the retailer because it's "owed" to you by them. If they give one,then that's a bonus and yes good PR.
