Just got my tracking info from ups for the arkham knight le from Walmart. Surprisingly its coming on Tuesday. The only other game I picked up from the mistake in January was project cars and that came on Thursday after launch. So glad I'll have this day one
 
So the TriForce community manager, Peter, responded to my email and this was his response:

Dang, I thought that was finally an unboxing of the Arkham Knight Limited Edition. With this Batmobile Edition fiasco, I'm now even more worried our orders for the Limited Edition will ship before any of us get a look at the quality/appearance of the Batman statue in unboxing videos!

I still can't wait to play the game and I'm sure I'll love it, but that preposterous season pass and now the CE cancellation definitely has tarnished the image of Rocksteady, WB Games, TriForce, and this franchise. That's a real shame, since it's easily one of my top 5 franchises in all of gaming.

That's a poorly written/researched article. They DID NOT walk off the job.

The employers, not the employees, shutdown work on a long holiday weekend. Every time the employees were not working was because of management telling them to stay away.

Only way I'm getting the Halo 5 CE is if they make too many of them which don't sell and someone clears them out for under $50.  Quite possibly the worst CE I've ever seen for total value vs. money spent.

I just got it price matched over the phone. He couldn't find it at first, even with the SKU and technically the item doesn't have the price match guarantee logo online, so YMMV. I had him pull it up on Amazon and he was somehow able to find it a different way in his system.

This same thing happened to me, she could not find it. I had to tell her a bunch of different ways to search for it and she finally got it. It went OOS at amazon a couple minutes after I got it done at BB. I still have my Amazon order, but I figure the BB order is safer than amazon.

Same. Although rare, Amazon might not honor the obvious price mistake. Better to just keep both at least until we are closer to the release date.

Yep, this one is even worse than Titanfall but at least in that one the statue was cool looking and included the game disk. :lol:

I mean, I have to imagine that lots of pre-orders are going to get cancelled. Thousands, right? I have no idea how many were pre-ordered, but everything about this is a kick in the face. Considering Microsoft's record of back peddling over the past couple years I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a disc will be included and a price drop on the CE.

 
I'll probably cancel my Halo 5 LCE on launch day.  Might as well let them think demand is high, and then collectively pull the rug out, thus ending up with a huge inventory of the darn things that eventually get discounted.

And I don't even know how to respond to that nonsense with not including a disk.  I'm just stunned.  How does something like that even happen?

Oh.. and the statue is by.. wait for it.. TriForce.  Anyone taking odds on the damn thing getting cancelled due to quality issues?  I'm thinking I might pre-order that entirely reasonable LE just in case.  $80 after GCU along with $10 in RZ is hard to argue with.

I'm starting to wonder if the trend of having CE's for so many games is going to reverse or outright collapse.  There have been a lot of stinkers lately.

Not always as some of us have pointed out. In fact, didn't they raise the price on a preorder of a CE of a game that they mistakenly initially opened for preorders at below MSRP not too long ago? Not saying that will happen here, but it pays to check your order status from time to time.

Yup, the mario party Amiibo bundle. They ended up honoring it, but they changed the price of the order and people had to call about it.
 
Definitely going $100 LE on Halo 5. I don't want a honking statue like that. Even at $100, I didn't want the TF CE because it was a monstrosity I had no room for. I don't know, why is everything stupid statues nowadays? And wasn't the Reach statue CE only $150? At least the mini Guardian figurine is kind of cool, and the steelbook is decent enough. Taking out the disc's stupidity is only topped by the added stupidity of keeping the steelbook. What're we supposed to put in it?

I'm just not a major LE/CE person. I got the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix one for the extra $10 or whatever for the pin. Before that, I think the Halo 3: Legendary Edition turd helmet was my last pickup. That, or Gears of War 2, whichever came second.

It comes with a Steelbook but no game disc? That makes no fucking sense at all.

 
^ had the turtle beach earforce phantom and that was total shit on ps4.  super low volume and sound adjustmentments does nothing to correct. got lucky and was able to recoup 85% of cost with amz trade in.  whew...

 
Yea, I have been using a Turtle Beach headset since the PS4 came out and it's been a POS. I used to love Turtle Beach. I bought the PS4 Gold headset earlier this week. It does the job. Quality is average. But it doesn't have the problems that turtle beach has been having, so, they are reliable, and that's important to me.

There was a CE for Halo 4. It had a Steelbook, all the maps & some other cosmetic DLC, the Forward Onto Dawn movie, and that lady Dr.'s notes about creating the Spartans & Cortana.
 
My Best Buy Arkham Knight Batmobile is still pending... it doesn't sound like they're doing anything special for cancellations yet. I was hoping for a chance at ordering the LE from.

Halo LCE has me torn... something about playing a week early is making me still want it despite that terrible statue. I also prefer the digital version to disc so my wife and I can game share. I'll probably keep it pre-ordered and it'll get cancelled when it gets closer.
