That one youtube video seems to be the only confirmation of anyone being able to change movie regions. Even in the comments there is someone who couldn't change the region of his French PS4.

That being said, Blu Ray players are cheap anyways so you shouldn't let that deter you.

I don't want more devices on my TV stand with my Xbone and DVR so for me, the Blu Ray stuff is a sticking point. Now I'm back on the fence again :(

I'm pretty sure most Blu-ray discs are region free. For DVDs you can change the region. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

PS4 version always sell much quicker than Xbox One version for this. Obviously cause more people own ps4, but I do wonder if companies actually produce the same amount of these CEs for both systems, or do they go by ratio. For example, the sales for ps4 consoles are 2x as many as Xone, so companies make 2x the CES for ps4 version.

I would think for countries like Japan and probably most places, they make more ps4 copies. PS is just more popular by far in most countries other than the US I believe. Plus when I think of first playing MGS, I think of playstation of course.

I was under the impression that Amazon did a pretty good job with release date delivery for free?. A few years ago before I had Prime, when they did the "get___ back in credit for preordering", I'm pretty sure everything I ordered arrived on release. Is the free shipping option not release date delivery anymore?

I know a few years ago they had $1 release date delivery, but as far as I know now, you pay for two day shipping ($8) and it gets bumped to release date. Free shipping on $35 and over is like 5-7 days.

At least that's how it's showing for MGS and Fallout. $8 each on top of fun taxes. I haven't pre-ordered a game on Amazon for quite some time now though.

I've never had a Wells Fargo credit card, but considering how much they nickel-and-dimed me on everything back when I was a customer of theirs, I'd be shocked if their currency conversion rate was favorable to the customer at all.

black ops 2 hardened did sell out. I recall them going for close to $200 at release on amazon before they dropped harshly.

Looks like they finally stopped overproducing their collector editions. Juggernog was really limited because of the fridge and they made the Hardened Edition a Gamestop exclusive. I'm still surprised it sold out this early though.

It's half scale so you'll be like that guy from Scary movie 2 with his little hand, but yes, scientifically and medically it checks out. Just pop it right into your elbow and you're good to go.

I wonder how rare this thing will end up being, from what I've noticed if a CE is available this close to release it usually won't be particularly hard to find, but I could be wrong.

They probably made a good amount of these since it's the final MGS game but demand also seem pretty high. It also seems like the ones popping up yesterday and today were from cancellations based on the way they pop in and out throughout the day from different retailers. I do think these will be hard to find shortly after release though, unlike some CEs that never sell for months or years and eventually make it to clearance. This is probably more on the Witcher 3 level of rarity.

I'm debating on canceling my MGSV CE. Only really wanted the steelbook from it but after seeing some of the more recent trailers it looks like a game I'll beat then trade in and not keep in my collection.

You do know this MGS is pretty long, it's got RPG like content. I heard 40 hrs for main story, 200 hours for all contents.

Of course I know it's long. I've played them all and this one seems to be the weakest story wise from what I have seen. I'll beat the main story play some side stuff then dump it when fallout comes out.

I was going to say that this thread has now become the "will that guy with the wutang symbol ever get an MGS ps4?" -- glad you (and apparently everyone else that frequents this thread) got their PS4s and learned how to import from amazon.fr. Makes me chuckle a bit with everyone trying to figure out how to read the site :)

More on topic though, has anyone seen anywhere else besides the NIS site that is selling that Rodea CE? Was really hoping to see it somewhere where I had credit but seeing as how it'll also be the last Wii game ever made (likely) I definitely don't want to miss it.

Does anyone know if the FF Type 0 CE had a different disc art from the regular edition?

It's $65.97 at GS btw for both platforms now.
 
I had no idea the MGS console was coming out in Europe, I thought it was Japan only.  Totally a screw up on my part as I would have tried to get that one from Amazon.fr.  Guess I will have the page on refresh even though I missed the boat by more than a day.
