Got the MGS V console up and running with 2 TB storage! The older (and still awesome) Sony Bravia XBR (like 8 years old and still looks incredible) would not detect the display. It wouldn't have been possible for me to get the console working without using the newer TV.

The other issue was I was using the oft-linked download to the system update files was the partial 300mb file for current users. You actually need the other link to the larger 785mb file that includes the HDD formatting. A lot of walkthroughs, FAQs, and parts of the Sony site link you to just the update and not the full install.

The reason for that is the PAL safe mode resolution is some funky European one (well, hence the PAL) and NTSC TVs don't use it. Thought my safe mode itself was broken as it booted normally just fine everytime, until I pressed x twice after it was supposed to boot up and the PS4 restarted itself just like the first option of safe mode states. Then looked up a video on YouTube to see the format and layout of the safe mode menus, swapped to the 2TB one, and just restored the PS4 blindly as I did not have any monitors that supported that output. Worth it for the most badass special edition yet.

I pre-ordered online; I always do online with ship to home. I got the steelbook. The only people who ran into issue were the ones who ordered for pickup. So, you are only partially correct - either that or I am extremely lucky (to get the SB)

Yeah, I was surprised it was packaged in a plastic box, but I guess it's more to show off the entire nuke. I don't think that mine had dents or scuffs, but then again I only took a quick look at it when I unboxxed it. My BBY packages usually come in great condition unless its a single game case or movie case. Personally though, I don't really care if the plastic dents as I don't plan on keep it in there anyway.

Seems that the Witcher 3 hearts of Stone expansion might be a Gamestop exclusive for U.S. according to official sources.  Marcin said it will be avail. at Gamestop on the 13th, but reports have said that GS has nothing about Witcher 3 coming in the next 4-5 weeks.  

I'd rather have the physical release, of course I'd rather it be with BB for the GCU, but we can only wish

Went around to a few places to see if I could get the Persona 4 Dancing all night Limited Edition but Target didn't carry it in store, Gamestop only had copies for pre-orders, and Best Buy didn't even get any games. I ended up ordering at the store the Limited edition online to be shipped. The GCU discount was nice but I have to wait a week and a half to get it in the mail.

Wait a moment, I saw the mini nuke fallout collection at Best Buy. I see it pictured online as a steelbook bonus for The Witcher Wild hunt but doesnt mention it anywhere. Does it actually come with The Witcher?

I'm pretty sure it's just the wrong picture, the gaming deals say you get the Witcher 3 steel book if you purchase Witcher 3. If you do it online the picture shows the nuke but description is the steel book.

I wouldn't be totally upset if it's a Gamestop only exclusive. I have some credit there I need to burn through, and that would be a good excuse to finally use it. Still though, GCU would be better.

I just did the digital season pass order on PSN and did the separate order of the Gwent cards from J!NX, since it seemed to cover everything that was included in the physical Hearts Of Stone release.
