So I checked to see how much does Amazon charge if you pay in USD with the slowest shipping option and it comes out to $411.20 and if you pay in euro and most cards charge around 3% fee which will be around $408 so its a small difference

My pagemonitor on one of the links posted here is what got me to it in the first place. The only thing is I just set it half an hour ago so I thought at first it was a false positive. Checked and sure enough it wasn't. I am genuinely excited about this so I can't wait for it to get to me. :D

 
PageMonitor keeps giving me false positives. Seems like the product page itself is the only thing that actually updates for me, and every time it does I can never get one fast enough. Even 1-click buying isn't fast enough for me. If another of you decides not to keep your pre-order shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out.

Not the whole page. Still telling me it is updating. Regardless, any refreshes show the product page itself update and give me a pre-order button(although I can never actually buy it) but the other page NEVER updates with anything(price, availability, ANYTHING). I is sad :(

 
I can't justify 400 bucks on that console, even though it's amazing looking. I think my days of big impulse purchases are coming to an end.

I also paid in Euros since I didn't see a US dollar option.  Hopefully I don't get charged an insane amount for conversion fees or something.

Wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of the mgs ps4 after you guys receive it. And in regards to a Fallout 4 themed PS4, I'd say it's pretty doubtful. Game seems to be more marketed towards the XB1, shown at Xbox e3, free FO3, Mods First, and Mr. Spencer was the character they created for the live demo. It'd be sweet to have a console painted like the Fallout Lunch Box though.

3% on a $400 purchase is more like a $12 difference than a $3 difference. Not a huge difference, but we are CAGs, aren't we?

EDIT: Oh, I see what you mean. You are comparing the Amazon currency conversion fee to most CCs, not Capital One. In that case, yeah, I agree with you, if you are not using Capital One, it probably doesn't make much difference whether you pay in Euros or dollars. If you are using Capital One, then you'll save around $12 by paying in Euros.

Could someone send me a link to the AV wire someone mentioned a few pages back to be able to play this system in the U.S since the voltage thing is different in Europe compared to he U.S. Someone mentioned they have it on Amazon for like $2 and change but I dont know what I should be looking for.

Glad to hear you got one. I picked one up myself earlier this morning. 361 Euros shipped to the US for that console is too good of a deal to resist. Not sure my conversion is up to date but last I checked, that's less than $400 for that console.

Yea my total was like 358.49EU which equates to like $411 US and change? I think AMEX (card I used) charges 2.7% fee for the currency exchange which equates to about $8 bucks or some shit. Still cheaper than buying a US system lol. I lucked out.

Also, it is still up for pre-order if anyone wants one.

I just preordered again using a capital one card in Euro and 2nd shipping option. Saved myself about $27.00. I cancelled my order from yesterday. Interesting thing is when I pulled up the order page my 1st order still didnt have the view or change order button while the new order did. Lucky it did have the cancel items button.

No, it'll only play region-free and region B movies. The blu-ray player itself is region locked, and technically the console is too, but it just happens that almost all the games are region free.

I believe only Japan has region-free PS4s.

Shucks that's a deal breaker for me. I rely on my Playstation to watch my movies so I'm going to pass on importing. Thanks for the explanation. I knew games were region free but never fiddled with region locks regarding Blu Rays.

Didn't someone say a few pages back that you can set the region of the console when you first set it up? Never tried it myself, though, I play Blurays on my X1 because I have all of my TV stuff running through it.

I don't use the PS4 to play Blu-Rays anyways, so this doesn't bother me. However, I did find this. Not sure if it is 100% accurate, but it does make sense.
