I also did the Eclair option as well. I decided to go the Euro route (not Amazon conversion) and it was €22 for the eclair option. It wasn't that much of a difference and it went from 10-12 days delivery down to a couple days. I think I worked the difference out to like $15 USD when I originally ordered. Well worth it to me. I have done a lot of international orders and tend to choose the faster of the options unless it's crazy expensive. Especially if the slower options offer no tracking and/or insurance. But that's just a personal preference.

According to xe.com, the current conversion for my order works out to around $421. Yesterday it was higher with the markets so crazy. Of course, my bank will use their own conversion and charge me a fee, but it should still be less than the Amazon conversion.

i chose the conversion option because i didnt understand exactly what it meant and I was in a rush to get an order in. My US total is still sub 440 though and has not changed at all.

But now I am a little worried that its gonna hike when they go to ship the item.... can i change the option to EURO instead under the payment page?

This is what it says when i got into modify the payment:

Your payment is currently configured to use the national currency. If you choose another method of payment, the currency of payment could be changed to EUR.

I've never changed the payment option after I've made my order. At least not on any of Amazon's international sites. Only on their US site. The way it reads, it should change it to Euro, but I can't be 100%.

I also don't know if Amazon.fr will change the rate of the conversion once they go to ship. I imagine that since you locked in your order at that specific rate that they won't change it, but again, I'm not 100% sure.

I tried to check their FAQ on their currency converter, but it didn't say.

Maybe someone else on here could chime in on this.

I think this was an error since Konami advertised the CE will get both day one dlc and CE exclusive dlc. Since the package came with neither, I'm sure word will get out and Konami would fix this somehow.
 
Do we know for sure that the DLC (day one and CE exclusive) isn't in the sealed game case? I know it looks like a standard retail copy, but sometimes the CE copies will have a "not for resale" note in place of the UPC.

Well multiple people have opened theirs and stated the dlc codes can't be found anywhere, not even the disk case. I'm wondering if this error is only happening in copies shipped out this early or will it be all CEs

If the case, hopefully they'll send the dlc codes faster then people received replacement Dragon Age CE items.


Now I'm thinking about ordering a standard copy from BB.

You mean never? I'm still waiting for my Dragon Age replacements (despite Josh continually saying that they are "shipping soon" for the past three months.

Thanks for the reminder. I just sent a follow-up e-mail asking on the status of them. Last e-mail I got from him was on June 9 saying that they were shipping them in waves. In my reply this morning I asked him if he literally meant that they were shipping them via wave-powered dinghy from hong kong.

Ah, okay. I've only seen the one unboxing video and the guy stopped short of opening the actual game case. This is ridiculous.

 
So I think I've decided to cancel my MGS CE. Don't really care about the arm and after looking at the steel, it's really not that nice of one.

In that unboxing video, did the game art show "Day One Edition"? With what everyone else is saying I'm guessing not.

I think the only way they can fix this issue at this point is to make the Day One DLC free for everyone to download.

You could always get this and replace the game with the :ps4: version when it comes out, as I wouldn't count on the CE being available when the game releases on :ps4:. In fact, that would allow you to trade the :xb1: version in as soon as possible and get the highest TIV for it.

Wait does this mean that the CE doesn't have any of the codes inside at all?

Also whats the difference in the Day One Edition that the CE doesn't have if its missing it?

I couldn't care less about the extra DLC, but I want that map poster.   Glad the MGS console comes with the Day One edition.  I'll just pull the map out of that and add it to my CE.

 
From Rice Digital, I got an E-mail that Stein's Gate CE for PS3 and Vita U.S. versions will not ship until 09/18. In addition, they are all sold out of both the U.S. and PAL versions.

Same. I'm totally new to Steins;Gate but after looking at reviews for the anime decided to go all in. Picked up both seasons on Blu Ray for $26 from EBay, collectors edition PS3 version and regular edition from Amazon. Do you think it'd be best to watch before playing?

I'll be buying a second copy from Best Buy then trading in the one that comes with the CE. With GCU hopefully I'll break pretty even. I won't be counting on Konami to fix this issue with any sort of expedience and I got three days off of work to enjoy this game.

Imma ride the Phantom Pain wave while it's high.  Has anyone seen anything about the DLC we'll received for registering our copy of Ground Zeroes?

 
The Day One content not being in the CE is disappointing but they're going to have to fix it somehow (it takes up half the page on the image that shows what's even in the CE), and it's not like we'll be able to play MGO any time soon.  

 
After seeing the unboxing video of the Metal Gear CE, I think I might cancel mine.  I can't see displaying the artifcal baby arm, even though it looks like you can make it so it display the finger.  I was really in for it for the steelbook and that Shinkawa one in a few other regions looks way better to me.  Plus if it is indeed missing the day 1 dlc, thats just a slap in the face.

I will say the one positive thing is it still looks better than the Arkham Knight LE.  That statue was crap.

Similarities are they both have a slow start, but after a certain point you won't be able to turn it off/put the game down. I'd say the majority would be to play the game first since the visual novel always creates the foundation for the anime. I vouch for the opposite; watched first then became a super fan. VN game will be the icing on the cake as then I can change things to my liking.

Thats the thing, Bestbuy already changed the status to sold out online, from experience they typically don't put the cancelled ones back online when they do that unless tons of people cancel. If it's only a small percentage of cancellations, they would just send the extras that were canceled to select stores.

The Amazon European sites, it's exclusive to them I think, but you can't just buy the steelbook alone, I think you have to buy it with a PAL copy of the game. It's the only thing I didn't order for MGS V as much as I wanted it. I already have enough extra copies of the game I need to get rid of due to all the diff version CEs and Console.
