Here’s how you know for sure, 1:6 scale resin statues, which is what a 12” will be close to, with any kind of detail on it are nearly always over $200. It’s going to be made out of PVC which doesn’t mean it isn’t a statue since there’s no formal definition of that.
 
That Resident Evil 2 CE is going to be rare shit I think. It already sold out online. I went and reserved one today in-store, just because.

It appears to still be in stock online. I tried adding to cart and began checkout process and no errors about stock or anything.

I also preordered instore earlier today. $150 would be a better price, but $200 isn't terrible. It seems like a steelbook or even a physical copy of the soundtrack woulf have been nice.

Nah, you can add to it and begin checkout process but when you complete it, it's OOS.

 
Im honestly not surprised at all even if is overpriced. People said its a remake of an old game so the CE wont sell as well. I actually think its the opposite, because its a remake of a popular classic, thats why the CE already has an established hardcore fanbase willing to buy.

Same here, I can get all the way to the step to "submit order", which usually if it was OOS, it wouldn't get that far. It may be that stock is getting low.

 
I noticed there hasn't been an update since May?
This obviously takes along time to keep up to date so is there anything any of us can do to help? 

This has always been a great resource for me but I also keep my own file on whats coming out over the next 6-12 months.

 
Is there free shipping for GS? Shipping on the RE2 CE puts it into ludicrously expensive territory. And if there isn’t, I’m gonna see if I can preorder it in store.

They only offer free shipping on in stock items. It's crazy that I can get free shipping on 35 dollars worth of in stock stuff, but they will not give me free shipping on something that is 200 dollars. I preordered my collector's edition of Fallout 76 from them, but got lucky to get a preorder from Best Buy at a later date. Price difference?

Gamestop - 235 dollars with shipping and tax

Best Buy - 160 (I still have Gamer's Club so that helped) with a 10 dollar reward credit after it ships.

LOL - that's a HUGE difference. I don't preorder ANYTHING from Gamestop unless I order it in store.

By pre-ordering, your order intent is there and Gamestop isn’t expending costs on holding inventory yet. Gamestop has a much greater incentive to clear out their in-stock items with free shipping than offering it on their pre-orders. Gamestop has at most 2-5 years before bankruptcy. They’re trying to sell themselves right now, but which sucker company is going catch this falling knife in a world where games are going increasingly digital. They are already in the stage where they will use every tactic in the book to prolong their lifespan.

Games had no street dates until the release of Sonic 2. It was so the product would be in the West & Japan at the same time. In the decades since more items have released on Friday like you said.

The Sonic 2 story is from the book Console Wars.

If you want free shipping you either have to be an Elite Pro member or do a web in store preorder, but that second option requires payment in full while you’re in the store.

Black Ops 4 & RE 2 Remake are the only two new CE that have been announced since E3 (plus the Spider-Man PS4 Pro System.)

Might here something from MS around Gamescom like a system bundle with FH 4, but the entire industry right now is focused on Aug-early Dec.

Berseria is great, one of the top 3 IMO. Surprised there’s nothing with Vesperia Definitive.

The original Vesperia only got a steelbook in the west (the only 360 steelbook I have) for reference and there isn't any DLC to speak of since it's the DE already. I could see it going either way, but I love the Tales series so I'll buy whatever they offer.

As for Tales CEs as a whole, I only wish they kept including one larger scale figure instead of the multiple small chibi figures.

 
It looks like PS4 version of RE2: Collector's Edition is now OOS on Gamestop.com. Can be added to cart, but removed upon checkout. Xbox One version still available.

Yea I remember RE7 CE was announced around this time also but lasted till November before selling out. Even though this CE seems expensive as heck. There's way more crazed RE2 and Leon Kennedy fans out there.
 
I wish that SE would have announced that the Octopath Traveler CE had exclusive cover art. I didn't know until it was too late to get from Best Buy, so I missed that $20 off from GCU :/.

hmm? I'm not sure that I follow. The plastic cart case inside the CE looks exactly the same as the normal retail SE.

The Vesperia CE also had additional pages in the manual (I think it was artwork?) and each copy had a code inside that if you submitted on Namco's website, got you a free OST (it was was one of the "best of Tales" OST, I think vol 3?).

Curious, did Namco just massively over-produce these or is there something wrong with the game? I've seen all 3 versions of the game get pretty big discounts already.

I thought so at first until I watched an unboxing. It has no ESRB rating on the front and the back is different, too, so it's a full on exclusive variant cover.

Noticed the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector's box (gamestop exclusive) without the game is sold out too. Glad I grabbed one when it first showed up.
