It might be actually sold out. The link in my order for the PS4 version leads to a dead page, which is exactly what Owlboy did.

 
Best Buy has been removing 'sold out' listings a lot lately.  I've noticed it on LEs, CEs, and steelbooks, that kinda thing.  If you got one, they still show up in your order history.   But clicking the items brings you to an "oops" page. 

 
 
WTF, since when has a CE sold out in less than an hour at BB? Even Owlboy lasted longer. That and I was told here it was Amazon exclusive so what gives? It'll probably come back up because I don't buy that it's already gone, especially for such a niche franchise.

 
the collector's edition comes with concussive rubber duck, midnight black suit, exclusive steelcase, bullet keyring, rubber duck and his signature coin and the rest thst comes with the gold edition and a gun case replica to store this stuff in

You see a lot of CEs sitting on Amazon till the price is laughably low lately, so I kinda get why the publishers would go for a lower retailer exclusive run I guess

Maybe it's just a publisher quirk, WBGames has a history of giving CE exclusively to GS

Same, kind of pissed at R* for this one. They ‘make’ us wait 9 years for a new Red Dead and then pull this retail exclusive sh*t, and gamestop of all places? Ugh. Regular edition for me.

I mean, GameStop is charge when ship right? Could be worse, Amazon isn't giving you CE discounts, and Best Buy isn't because of the morons on here trying to run a retail store off gcu discounts

Bestbuy wouldn’t be worse for a few of us, including me. My GCU is still active for another 4 months.

I’d even prefer amazon, at least they wouldn’t charge $5 for shipping.

There's nothing wrong with buying a regular edition of a game. Especially when you're not in love with the special editions.

 
Not going to lie, I really like that Hitman 2 CE...But I'm not gonna bite.  Gamestop exclusive and $11.99 for cheap shipping kills it for me.  Sure I can do in-store preorder, but then I'm left with it's still Gamestop.  

It's a tough pass.

This is true... But when your collection consists of a majority of steel books when the steelbook is available it's frustrating not to get it. But at a $60 price difference it actually isn't worth it (in this case, to me)
 
Question about Gamestop pre-orders:

Since Hitman comes with free DLC at the time of pre-order, if I decide to cancel my order later on, do I have to pay for that free stuff I got?

Yeah I'm gonna pass too. If it was available at Best Buy, I'd probably do it. But I can get the Gold edition for $80 with BB GCU. I'd have to pay literally double that amount just for the suitcase and duck, so, screw that.

 
I hadn't used the square store before, but was able to get my foot in the door for that Shadow of the Tomb Raider CE when it went up.  Today I tried the debit now feature.  I usually buy gift cards to pay on pre-orders at BB and Amazon, so that feature was nice to find.  I'm just always worried something will come up later that I need to pay for instead and I miss the auto payment.

It's a big reason I use Gamestop. The store I have locally is nice and don't really have any other place less than an hour drive for store pickup.  I understand CE exclusives being annoying, but don't really get the Gamestop hate that much.  At least for in store new purchases. Their web site sucks at everything.

E3 hasn't even started and I have a good number of CEsUltimate SBs planned on grabbing.

Anthem 'Legion of Dawn' edition is up at Best Buy, gives you some cosmetics and what looks like early access to public demo tests, also has that $10 reward cert

 
Yeah, cautiously pre-ordered that Anthem edition as it ticks a few boxes in what I like out of a sandbox co-op game. Seems much less constricting like Borderlands or Destiny corridor shooter-fest, so I'm willing to give it a go. Still 8 months to go so we'll see how it shapes up.

Fallout went from a solid pass to a solid win with MP. Sounds like they're making this game much more in the true style of sandbox gameplay where you don't have much to do in the world itself except scavenge and build whatever you feel like. That said, how is MP going to factor into sharing that world? So many questions because if it's one shared game file each time you play with friends that you can all each work on and merge your changes, that's right up my alley. If it's one save file and a person controls that file, that. . .would kind of suck but we'll see.
