I used Tor browser to do it and they don't ship outside Europe, so there goes that. I got to the address page and when putting in address won't let you put in anything other than the native country.

It looks like they said on their FB page that the Vesperia UK set is not exclusive to their store and will be available from other retailers next week. It is also cheaper than the US set lol

Ugh, not sure what to do. Got burned hard by Amazon UK with NNK2 King's but damn do I want the EU ToV CE 🤔

EDIT: And yes the US is hot garbage. How could they be so discordant with Bamco EU? Also after NNK2 I'm nervous about over production and price drops.

What happened with NNK2 and amazon UK? I just beat the game over the weekend and was looking into getting the King's Edition since the price dropped, and amazon US sells it now too.

For starters the price has dropped. Like a rock. And while it wasn't an issue for many, some (of course myself included) had them arrive damaged and when that happens you're mostly SOL (they could send you a replacement but returns are prohibitively expensive). So there is a definite shipping gamble with a fair probability that it'll take damage en route.

I wonder where amazon US is sourcing/shipping these from. It's about $75 right now.

Same thing happened to me with the US version. So much for being limited and numbered, I really don't get why it flopped so bad. I'm playing it right now, over 100 hours in going after the platinum.

Wanted to get the King's Edition for the music box and LP. Do you think it's worth it?

I had broke down and ordered the King's Edition since I could've swore I had read reports that Namco Bandai had sent them out boxed and Amazon was placing their box in another box. I thought there was a good chance it would arrive in decent shape. Nope. Mine arrived having already been opened and was in pretty rough shape. Maybe customs had their way with it. I did send it back.

I think I was the lone dissenter back when it was being discussed, but having had it in-hand it's superiority was as exaggerated as I thought. The music box was not impressive at all to me. It may look like some nice glass music box in pics, but, of course that is not the case. The figures in the box did not look great up close, either. How it was being compared favorably over the U.S. diorama, I don't know (I don't love the U.S. dio, either, but there is more going on than the music box).

The only thing the art book has over the U.S. edition is a hard cover. Otherwise, the U.S. art book seems superior in terms of actual content.

If you like looking at the LP or the pop up image, maybe that is worth it. Otherwise, isn't it just a couple of tracks?

I too was burned hard by the NNK2 CE from AMZ UK. Regarding shipping, mine was double boxed and the inside was filled with those big packing bubbles. Good thing too as the outer box was partially crushed and shredded by the time it got to my door. No issues with the CE thankfully (y'know except paying 3x the current price).

None of the Tales cases have been Steelbooks. Don't know why you guys were expecting a steelbook, when the image already showed the spine hinge.

 
I was super excited for the ToV CE.  I thought the "exclusive collectibles" for the various characters were going to be the cute little figures they often put in the past CEs.  I'm really let down with what is in the NA version.  I put a pre order in, but I'm cancelling it the second I lock in a EU pre order.

Don't think you can get it there unless you live in Europe or use some type of a routing service which sounds all too exhausting. My advice is to wait to see if another retailer carries it or go ebay.

 
Definitely skipping the US ToV CE. Hopefully the EU version does come to Amazon UK (or any amazon) so I can get it there. Otherwise I'll just wait for the standard to go on sale.

Actually my NNK2 KE from Amazon UK came beat up also. As did the replacement. At least they didn't make me mail the original back. Average price of the two is still more than what it's selling for now though which just hurts 😵

At this point given how much better the EU/UK ToV CE looks, I may gamble again with Amazon UK (my buddy got NNK2 KE from Amazon.de and had similar damage issue but CS there wasn't available in English) but if it doesn't sell out (assuming I can get a pre-order) I'm going to have think very hard about whether to keep it roll the dice on price drops...
 
You can run UK PS4 dlc on a US system but the DLC is generally tied to the specific game's ID, which differs per region, so to use UK dlc you'd need the UK version of the game, etc

Yeah, that is true, and you may need a EU PSN account to activate the code with, but I'm not sure. I don't know if PSN accounts differ by region. I'm pretty sure they do because once I gave a friend in Europe a DLC bonus code I didn't use and he tried to use it and it didn't work on his PSN account, but I tested it and it worked on mine. This has happened several times with me actually now that I remember. Once I got a EU code from an import I got and it didn't work on my PSN account. But again, not sure if it's universal.

But you definitely can't use a UK code with a North American game. You at least need matching game regions with the DLC's region.

On PSN DLC is tied to region, but you can just create another account in that region, download the DLC and then play it on your main account with the game.

So you can buy the EU Tales game, download any DLC on the EU PSN store, and then go back in to your main US account later on and play without an issue

They probably got tired of having pre-orders returned after getting the free DLC at multiple stores. That's what I used to do for major releases that were being stupid with tons of DLC all over and it was the only way to get it without paying bullshit ebay prices.

For $100, no AC adapter is pretty cheap. Guess if I get it I'll just use the one from Nintendo's classics...

Odd that they didn't include dual shocks. If it's USB I wonder if it will work wired with the PS3/PS4 controllers...

Hopefully Sony copied the ease of being hacked from Nintendo too ;)

Looks to me USB-C, which a majority of people do not have.

It says in the specs micro. Unless they listed it wrong. Either way it's micro to A or C to A (look at pics of what's included), which uses the same power brick for most devices people already have.

 
Yeah, I think the 10 week wait is worse than the $60 price. By that point most people will be used to playing them with whatever controller they already have.

 
For anyone waiting for the Spider Man LE art book I might cancel my order. Shipping costs more then the art book itself and while I want something signed by the entire insom team I'm not sure it's worth it. I imagine I will not be the only one.
