FAQ's:

  • Amazon & Gamestop do not have a pre-authorization charge.
  • Bethesda Store and any of the Treehouse Brand Stores do not have a pre-authorization charge either.
  • Best Buy, NISA Store, Square-Enix Store all have a pre-authorization that goes away after 3-4 days or so, 7-10 days max.
  • All pre-orders with Paypal, you pay the full amount when the order is placed NOT when it is shipped.  This goes for every retailer that takes Paypal as a form of payment
  • Be cautious when going for free shipping from any Exclusive Store since they all use Digital River.  Say you order 2 CE's from S/E Store and they have different release dates, DR will wait till the last item comes out to ship yours.  Meaning (since Digital River sucks donkey balls), they could end up selling your pre-order on the first item to release and you could be SOL.  Also be careful ordering something to get your free shipping threshold as well because if the item goes OOS, then you have to wait for it to come back in stock.  This happened to many CAGs ordering the Lightning Returns CE from the S/E store because they ordered key chains that went OOS.
  • ^TL;DR Version:  If something goes out of stock or is not out yet, it will delay your order.

I feel for you steelbook collectors. I'll never start collecting them... seems a huge pain in the ass for little payoff.

So preordered the Titanfall CE in store at Best Buy for PC even though online it's sold out. Only put $5 down so will cancel it if it seems to not be as rare.
 
My symphonia finally changed to shipping.  Should have it on the 27th.  Still waiting for digital river to cancel my original LR order.

 
My friend ordered the ToS CE with standard paid shipping and he lives a mile away from me, and he's scheduled to get it 2 days before I get it with Prime.

I know people have been talking about going into "change shipping speed" and checking and unchecking the speed. Is this some type of a glitch or something? It isn't a huge deal, but what the fuck is the point of Prime if I am getting my items after normal orders? I'm definitely not going to re-up if this is the case.

There seems to be no explanation for it either. I'm prime and mine is going to be here tomorrow. I hope they are packaged well. I think mine should be because I have 2 other games in with it (PvZ on :xb1: and a copy of Madden 25 on :360:)

Not like 999/VLR where there's a bunch of puzzles.

Hakuoki is just straight up reading while picking some choices here and there.

Gotcha, thanks. My wife is really enjoying 999 right now so I thought if it was similar she might like this too. But I think we'd both be bored to tears just selecting dialog options. :p

 
Well, I was wrong - I mentioned the game to my wife and she said she wants it.  So preordered - thanks for the heads up on the CE!  ;)

I'm in the same situation, except that my wife wants Hakuoki (damn those good looking male characters), I actually came here to post that it is $10 cheaper but seems I am late.

 
My GS told me I can pickup my ToS CE order tomorrow. They even offered me first dibs on the LRFF13 and Thief stands too, lol. :)

 
Namco via Digital River with the early arrival. Box was a little larger than the set and there was no padding but the item still arrived perfect.


 
^ I haven't watched the DS II CE Unboxing... just the first few seconds but I wanted to chime in that I absolutely HATE window boxes like that because they always end up damaged.

 
In the IGN video, the Black Armor Edition dimensions look to me to be G2 sized for the ps3, which is a nice consideration given the recent series of G1 only cases.  Unfortunately, it looks like the "metal case" as advertised really was code for "not a steelbook."  Disappointing, but not surprising.

 
Now I actually want that. Thought the double sword thing was meh, but now that I see it doesnt have to be in...

Is it sold out everywhere?

peronally i think the 360 version of titanfall will be solid. bluepoint does ports really well and the delay just seems like MS wants to push xbone sales for a couple weeks especially now that they announced the bundle

 
Other multiplat games that are coming out--and have been for the past two years--have been an absolute joke on PS3/360. Hell, I think it's downright shameful that the 7th gen version of battlefield was released, and they actually charged people money for that bag of shit. Titanfall is being developed for X1/PC. The 360 version is going to be dummed down enough to run on 360 and made by another team while the big boys make the 'real' game.

1.) Battlefield 4 being shit (looks good next gen though) is all EAs fault. They didn't let DICE do everything first.
2.) Its better off the main devs are exclusively working on next gen TF.

It may be EA's fault, but that's still the product that was released--and way past EA it's because the game is too advanced to run on that hardware. And no arguments on point 2. It's been time to move on from 7th gen for the past couple of years at least; I'm glad that they're only focusing on the X1/PC version. I hope Titan Fall 2 isn't even released on 360, so they can make it even bigger and more advanced.

 
now that ms is giving away Titanfall with xbone purchase, how in-damand will the collector edition be.  contemplating whether to cancel or hang on to resell.

I can't put too much or all blame on dice, but its a lot of EAs fault. Rushing products gets you nowhere. But at least dice is continually trying to fix all versions.

I'm sure TF2 will be X1 only. The 360 life cycle is coming to a close and even if its another 3 years, TF2 probably won't see a date until then.

35,000 for the Titanfall CE seems like a hell of a ton even if it is multiplat... does anyone have an idea how close that is to the Skyrim CE production?

There was a ton of Skyrim CE's discounted later anf it was even sold out on Amazon after it first came out. And now that Titanfall is bundled with the Xbox One, alot of people on the fence who don't own the console will jump on this. Seems Ms really wants Titanfall to become there next Halo series, that giving it away for free, is there only way to make it a success.

I think 35,000 is actually pretty limited. Compare that number to Tales of Symphonia. That CE got an estimated 15-18k run and it's been OOS forever and is finally releasing tomorrow. Now consider that this is 35,000 spread across 3 platforms. Of course more will be allocated to the Xbox One but I still think that leaves a limited amount per platform.

The beta also saw about 2 million unique users and it served its purpose. It stress tested the servers and helped spread word of how solid the game is. I expect this game to be a hot seller as long as reviews are in the 9s. It's also a new IP which will help bring up the hype machine. Mix that in with people wanting to get their hands on a sold out CE and you will see that it will be a hard fine.

The real question is how much more can people pay above MSRP. The Post Pandemic goes for $400 and above which is $260 above cost.

Please don't compared the titanfall CE to TLOU PP Edition.

How many FPS CE's are truly limited? How many FPS CE's priced at above $100+ end up limited? How many MS FPS CE's end up limited?

Gears isn't a FPS but you could find Gears and Halo CE's months after release.... on clearance

i'm not an xbone owner. i grabbed a couple to unload it on ebay. looks like xbone ver is sold out across all 3 major retailer but i'm sure the majority pre-orders was done before this announcement.
