FAQ's:

  • Amazon & Gamestop do not have a pre-authorization charge.
  • Bethesda Store and any of the Treehouse Brand Stores do not have a pre-authorization charge either.
  • Best Buy, NISA Store, Square-Enix Store all have a pre-authorization that goes away after 3-4 days or so, 7-10 days max.
  • All pre-orders with Paypal, you pay the full amount when the order is placed NOT when it is shipped.  This goes for every retailer that takes Paypal as a form of payment
  • Be cautious when going for free shipping from any Exclusive Store since they all use Digital River.  Say you order 2 CE's from S/E Store and they have different release dates, DR will wait till the last item comes out to ship yours.  Meaning (since Digital River sucks donkey balls), they could end up selling your pre-order on the first item to release and you could be SOL.  Also be careful ordering something to get your free shipping threshold as well because if the item goes OOS, then you have to wait for it to come back in stock.  This happened to many CAGs ordering the Lightning Returns CE from the S/E store because they ordered key chains that went OOS.
  • ^TL;DR Version:  If something goes out of stock or is not out yet, it will delay your order.

gcu does not apply to in store preorder deposits, but if the prices changes on release date . there is nothing you can do.

I'm pretty sure BB will correct the price of Persona Q LE before release day.  Pre-ordering now doesn't lock in the game for $50, as it specifically states on the pre-order receipt that prices can change "due to item price".

You can pay off the entire amount, but if they increase it, you'd still need to pay off the remainder.

 
It's sad to see people willing to exploit something the first chance they get. Best Buy already has the best price for it with GCU anyways. The price will obviously be adjusted. Integrity?

If you lock it in online pretty good chance it will go through.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on it this close to shipping date.

I just pulled the trigger on CE of 1886 thru Amazon though. Just in case there is an off chance that it's an exclusive or that they sell out. That's a lot of goodies for $20 extra.

Just preordered The Order Premium Edition along (still available) with my Witcher 3 CE (unavailable currently, again).

Money is overrated anyways.

When i went to preorder, I was given the option to put down $5 or the full price of $53.99. Those values are before tax. Wonder where that full price comes from
 
Yea, I'm extremely doubtful that we're gonna get them at $49.99 even with picture proof of that being the price @ pre-order, but the GCU discount still makes it better than GS/Amazon so i'm happy they're carrying it at all.

I hope they eventually get the 1886 Premium edition listed.  It would be nice to save the extra $30 as I think that could be this year's "Post Pandemic" edition.

i found this interesting from bestbuy website, not sure how well it will go.

Only if you can secure a pre-order online, which you can't right now. That entire FAQ is speaking of BestBuy.com orders only.

Whether the actual stores follow the same guidelines is up in the air. There has yet to be a precedent case for what happens in this event, so I guess we'll find out when the game releases.

I'm tempted to do the same, but BB GCU has ruined full-price CEs for me. I'm going to gamble that they'll eventually show up at bb.com.

 
bestbuy mod confirmed persona q $49.99 price is for the standard edition, not the collectors edition

As for the specific title you mentioned, , it looks like we had some incorrect information listed. This is actually the standard version of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, and we’re working to get the description updated along with getting the Premium Edition up for pre-order.

Try a year, it took a year for SMT IV to hit $20.

Since I didn't like EO IV from playing the demo I'm not sold on this game and not going to pay $10 over normal MSRP for a 3DS game. I'll gladly wait for a sale if they put out a demo and I like it, or I'll wait for it to hit $20 or less in a year.

 
Got the 360 version for less than $40 shipped. Bioshock LE collection is now complete. Fantastic deal.

Anyone know how often gamestop.com puts up previously sold limited editions available again? Missed out on Dragon Age and didn't do my research on it. Had no idea it would be SUPER limited and sell out so fast at that price point! I'm hoping it's possible that cancellations will go through. ....gs.com does do cancellations for pre-orders like that, don't they?

When I preordered it it said I would be unable to cancel it after I placed the order so I doubt it will come back up, I hope it does a buddy of mine wants one!

There was a tweet from them posted in one of the other threads about some big announcement happening on the 7th of July. It is likely something will be announced then, even if it's just some limited edition packaging or some other special preorder bonus.
