what's the difference between saints row 4 game of the generation edition vs. wub wub edition? 

I have both preordered and i'm trying to decide which one i want. Is the only difference the display case? Is that really worth $30 more? Just because it's sold out doesn't really mean it's worth anything since the Wub Wub edition is still in stock and is basically the same thing.

Well, I got the text for my Saints Row 4 preorder last night and it specifically mentioned that I preordered the GotG edition, plus there were no problems when I went to pay it off earlier today.  Feeling pretty good about getting the actual GotG...I'll report back after midnight.

I preordered for $430. Its 19 inches tall.. Insane. I just bought the 1/6 for $200 on evay. Got really lucky. I preordered from cmdstore.com it comes out either late september or early october.

It doesn't come out until October, so I'm just assuming that they will be shipping it to the US by then. I could be wrong, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

It does add the steelbook when you first add the CE to your cart, but then you go to checkout and it isn't there. Im not sure if it will still be included or not, but I'm sure you could talk up a rep and get it fixed.

Ah never mind, its working now, the steel book shows up in the final checkout page as a (free gift) for the Collectors.

I think every storr has raised the price now. If you want it, i would get. I honestly can see ebayers selling these at ridiculous amounts.

Bigbadtoystore is also selling it. Theyre out of stock but when someone cancels, its updated immediately, so i would check there. Ive lost interest in video game CEs unless if they have articulation. Ive sold most of my CEs and all i have left are metal gear rising UK LE, and deus ex collector's edition (the one with adam jensen statue).

Now i have space in my room and im going to save money in the long run too haha. Trying to control the OCD lol
 
I would really like to own the statues that come with the special editions of Watch Dogs and Batman: Arkham Origins. If only people didn't jack up the prices tremendously on eBay... Never got the Skyrim or Last of Us statues for that very reason.

^ Yeah and I haven't tried to place an order but I'm going to guess that it will let you buy ten at a time based on the drop down box so they (at least the PS3) might go quickly... but then again not sure what the demand is either.

i got skyrim ce for 35 or cheaper shipped new from newegg a bit back.

I had it when it first came out. The Journal with the jacket is good, The plastic shape bat case is ok. The worst part is the batarang is a cheap plastic rip off. It looked both sides were scratched with a scrub pad. A lot of others got the same thing, pictures are very misleading. I wouldn't pay no more then $30 nowadays.

I thought the scratches on the Baterang were intentional, to show that it had been damaged/used a lot.

 
I never preorder from best buy cause of that.  That and they seem to have issues any time I have tried to preorder in the past with getting the item and ends up cancelling it.

 
My last preorder was for New Vegas CE back in 2010.

I applied for in store pick up, and tgey sold my copy to someone else!

I better get my steelbook shipped with bo probjems..

The batarang is very cheaply made and the pictures shows a non scratch version that looks more expensive. Very misleading and was mad how that was done.

 
Man, I think I waited too long to preorder the Grand Theft Auto V: Collector's Edition. It's OOS everywhere. It's deceivingly available on GameStop as it won't allow you to check out (says item is no longer available for sale).

Anyone have any advice on where to get one (besides forking over a ton on eBay)?

How is it sold out everywhere... it's a GS exclusive.

 
Just a heads up, I think Brick and Mortar GameStop locations have stopped taking preorders for the prestige edition of Call of Duty Ghosts. I went in tonight trying to place a preorder and was told they aren't taking anymore orders. Many stores are still taking online preorders though. I did notice something interesting like how none of my Best Buys allowing in store pick up for the Xbox One edition of Cod Ghosts Prestige as well.

I don't know if this indicates it is actually limited. Just throwing it out there that maybe these will actually run low on stock.

The Prestige Edition of Call of Duty ALWAYS sells out at Gamestop within days of them opening pre-orders. I think maybe when Black Ops 2 came out, the local Gamestop here didn't even have them open for a week before they couldn't take anymore in on the huge $200 CE.

I could have swore Amazon.co.uk received a few of them. I believe it's only exclusive to GameStop in the United States... but I could be wrong on that.

I just picked up Saints Row IV: Game of the Generation Edition from them and had a dud display case (didn't light up/turn as advertised). I returned it to GameStop in hopes they would work with me and swap it out with a new Game of the Generation Edition... and was told to contact Deep Silver about it and refused to provide a refund/replacement.

Probably because GotG edition is pretty limited? They probably have their stock allocated for reserves.

To be fair, you're TOTALLY in the wrong on this one. You have to remember that the CE has something like 5,000 per system, so the odds of them even HAVING a replacement is fairly low. According to some document I found there are something like 4,434 total stores in the US. This means they would have at most 1 per location with 600 to ship off, though we already know that GameStop did not exclusively carry this edition and the stock was divided up. So needless to say, they wouldn't be able to replace it even if they wanted to... so how exactly can you hold them accountable? Deepsilver no doubt made replacements and will most likely work with you to replace it if you simply contact them. Now if DS refuses to help you, then that is a whole different story.

I don't know why you're singling out Target. BestBuy was the one who had it for less ($15) and was how a lot of people got it.

 
Yea contact deep silver. I accidentally ripped my borderlands 2 ULCE box, and asked gearbox if i can get it replaced.

I told them that id pay for it; but they gave me a bew one for free along with a tshirt.

It was awesome.

Also treehouse brand once sent me the wrong lithograph, and they told me to just keep it and sent me the right one.
