He spawns right outside the Autumn's Hope safe house. If you take him out, he guarantees a drop of two purple pieces (a gear piece and a modifier) as well as 1-3 phoenix credits. As long as you don't kill the remaining goons, he will respawn if you run back to the safehouse (either by running or getting killed and reloading in safehouse). So run out, take out Bullet King only, then run back into the safe house for a decent stream of gear and credits.

For people who are experienced with importing steel books, do you have to suck it up and order the whole CE or can you usually find them off eBay somehow?

I'm interested in getting the Star Fox steel book and the Fire Emblem Fates steel book from Europe.

Hmmh, when did this start? I've killed him once before and didn't get any purples (I've never had a purple drop before, which is how I remember that, haha).

You can usually find them off eBay.... but it isn't necessarily going to be heavily discounted. It's not unusual for the steelbook to be ~$40-60 when the pre-order would have been $80-100.

I feel bad though letting phx credits rot on the ground because I can't pick them up anymore.

Pepita store fucking sucks. I ordered a few games from SquareEnix.com during their big sale last month. All came damaged so I opened up a return. I shipped them out using their labels they provided on 3/8, and they are STILL in fucking transit. 14 days and they still haven't arrived, not to mention the arrival date has changed about 4 times now.. They better issue me my refund the same day they get them.

I thought they weren't using Pepita anymore? I ordered during their BF sale and they really went overboard in shipping carefully. They literally wrapped the CE in bubble wrap before putting it in the box with air cushions.

I ordered FF Explorers and it came in great condition, only a minor ding on one of the corners of the box.

But these games were all shipped in bubble mailers, discs were lose in the PS1/PS3 games i ordered, case was cracked on the PS1 game, and the DS game along with the other PS3 game I ordered came with a bunch of dings in the case. Horrible shipping. Never ordering from them if they use that garbage company.

used the time waiting for PSVR to go live to cancel my doom CE pre order, figure since its STILL available to pre order there are probably going to be a ton left over and on deep discount later down the road.  It also looks like the kind of CE where the game comes in a NFR or no regular box, which makes it a bitch to trade in when I'm done with the game

plus best buy looks like its adding Doom to the $10 preorder bonus list so would rather just get it there

I'm so on the fence on bravely second, the CE items suck and I have not touched my 3DS in months but still, its pretty much going to be impossible to get I think

One of my imports has been at the ISC NEW YORK NY (USPS) office since the 16th. Is it really still stuck there or will it just magically appear on my doorstep one day? This package wasn't sent via EMS because I didn't need it so quickly but I would like an ETA I guess.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Happens to me all the time when i import from Amiami. Should show up after a week or two.

It's really in limbo. Non-EMS have been taking much longer for me this calendar year. I'm getting things in 4 weeks, with 2-3 weeks of it just sitting at a US receiving center, when it used to be at most 2 weeks total.

My last package from them took 2-3 weeks to get to the states, and then another 1-2 weeks to get to me, and the tracking never updated once it got to the states, until a couple days after it was delivered, so you should be fine.

 
Thanks guys. I guess I'll just have to be patient. It took 2 weeks to get to the US via SAL. I ordered Pokemon things through Amazon and then through Tenso. It arrived to the US on the 16th.

I'm sure many of us are wrestling with these sentiments. However, I have gone ahead and decided to drop the funds for the CE.

Souls games are some of the few games each year that I need to buy and play on day one. I would hate to miss out on this collector's edition since these games are in the pantheon of the best video games of all-time. $104 is a very palatable price for what is always a very complete game, in a beloved series. Instances like this are what we have GCU and Prime for. You don't feel as bad spending the premium.

Hell I was tempted with the ~$500 Prestige Edition so I am actually just 'settling' for the standard CE haha : P

(also been playing it digitally already since the Japanese release through that loophole and am loving it; can't wait for the official release so I can have my sexy statue and have actual online play!)

 
Tbh for anyone that is on the fence about the Dark Souls III CE, I would buy it at full price from Gamestop.com right now while you still can.  If Amazon and Best Buy pre-sales are any indication, this CE isn't going to be common or discounted at all.  CEs at those retailers sold out lonng ago. Looking now, it is also sold out on XB1 at GS.  So this might be your last opportunity.  I wouldn't chance it.

For anyone purchasing the game I would also pick up the hardcover strategy guide from Amazon which is currently $26.40.  Even the clearance guides hardly get any cheaper than half price which is $18-20 and if this sell outs, yikes, watch out on those prices.  Guides usually stay stocked for quite some time but it's presently still a good value.  You can also walk into Best Buy on release day and buy the CE guide price-matched to Amazon which is a great deal.  Once again, wouldn't chance it on one of these GOTY-type guides where 1 in 5 of them jumps to $80 aftermarket prices after sellout and reprints eventually go back up to MSRP of $39.99.

Yeah, I was just going to post that the DS3 CE sold out very quickly at Best Buy and has been sold out at Amazon for a while now too.  Unless they are purposely holding back stock this will not go on discount in the future like the DS2 CE did.  They probably learned their lesson with how DS2 CE stagnated on retailer's shelves and in retailer's warehouses.

 
DS3 CE will be more than abundant, Bandai has overproduced every one of their CE's to date, this one won't be any different.

I have no clue how common/rare the DSIII CE will be but with this game I don't care. I'll continue to blindly support From until they let me down.

The DSII CE was the first game I purchased with GCU. I don't regret it though I certainly could have gotten it much cheaper had I waited.

That's just the exception I make about franchises I love. Yes, yes, I know "last time I checked this site is called Cheap Ass Gamer not MSRP Gamer," but this is how I am approaching DSIII.
