The DSII CE was the first game I purchased with GCU. I don't regret it though I certainly could have gotten it much cheaper had I waited.

It makes less sense to buy the guide for Dark Souls III because it's being handled by Prima Games this time and not FuturePress, who handled the previous two guides (plus Bloodborne's).

However, Prima Games does do limited runs on their guides making them slightly collectible. Future Press will print for years. Dark Souls II and Bloodborne still being printed.

I'm referring to the actual quality of the guides and not their rarity, but I guess this might not be the appropriate thread for that.

 
I don't think the first Dark Souls guide was reprinted, so history isn't a guarantee on Future Press. Although the Dark Souls guide was already out of date after a first day (week?) patch.

The design works came out well after the games, in the U.S. at least. I haven't followed the Japanese market closely in recent years.

You can still sort of take advantage of day 1 purchases with things like GCU/ Prime discount, credit card free cash for signing up and using once, credit card % cash back, free shipping and no tax from a website that doesnt charge tax in your state (dont use time/ gas in your car to pick it up), reward sites like Swagbucks, and so on

 
Not sure if my Azure LE shipped out yet. I didn't get the email with tracking from them yet, but a few times I got my emails from them after I got the package in the mail for some odd reason.

Same here. No shipping email, and no game yet. Which is unusual for NISA as I usually get my preorders from them at or before release date.

Whenever I have this question, I check GS.com. If it's sold out on GS.com, then I rationalize that it's sold out everywhere b/c GS gets the most stock of CEs (I'd imagine) and they're always the most expensive (no free shipping on pre-orders).

It's sold out on GS.com, so I'd assume the answer is yes, it's sold out everywhere even though I haven't actually checked everywhere.:p

Plus it's exciting because it's episodic.You only have 20% of the game right now but over the next 16 months the rest will come in patches making use of all that empty HDD space. Can't wait for episode two where we all get to see if the netcode get's fixed.

A pre-purchase is a pre-order for which you will be charged immediately upon placing your order.

30k is worldwide, I think this will go pretty fast. This is Final Fantasy, not Tales of Zestiria. And the figure is playart's kai. People already scalped the sh*t out of some of the other ones like Quiet from MGS V which hit $400 on ebay.
