I don't understand how Nintendo so greatly underestimated the demand for this game. My store got 17 copies of each version and 8 CEs. We only had 5 each of the regular versions to put in 3 locations on the floor after preorders were accounted for. They were sold out by noon I think...

Nintendo makes enough that they know will sell for the MSRP, they play it safe so their CE's never end up like dark souls 2 or any other mass produced that doesn't sell

 
So another day, and my ebay in store pick up order of Fire Emblem SE hasn't moved or been canceled. Don't want to call because I am afraid of it being canceled. I am wondering, some in store pick up orders get shipped to the store from the ware house right? If so, this might still give me hope and would explain why it's taking so long.

I ordered FE:F SE from BestBuy.com back on November 12th.  My order went to 'Preparing' on Friday and has been there ever since.  Customer service said it will arrive by next Friday at the latest, but I don't know why it's been stuck on 'Preparing' for 2 days now.  Is anyone else in the same boat?

It's probably been stuck on preparing because no one has been working the warehouse over the weekend. I'm sure it'll probably ship tomorrow.

Unless this is something new, Best Buy warehouses operate 7 days a week. I've had things I ordered Saturday night ship the next Sunday morning. UPS may not pick up on Sunday, but orders definitely move through the Best Buy warehouse on weekends.

Same exaxtly. The thing that pisses me off is my friend living in the same state, same ordered date, not even Elite whereas I'm Elite+, already shipped Friday, Monday delivery

Which Fire Emblem amiibo have been hard to find? I haven't paid much attention because I don't go for them, but it seems like there's a solid variety of amiibo at Best Buy. The only ones I never seem to see are Charizard and the green Yarn Yoshi. My store's covered in freaking amiibo, actually. They've got the shelved filled to the end, and they have this giant, rectangular display in the middle of the aisle that's so big it's tough to navigate the aisle with more than one person in it.

 
You can get the Fire Emblem amiibo for pretty decent price now if you don't care about the packaging. The hardest one to get is Lucina and Robin in the U.S. but importing is only about $17 for each.

 
Well, my FE SE will be here tomorrow from BB via UPS. Just hoping it's packaged in a box rather than a bubble envelope. If so, it will be a great day as with the gamer club unlocked discount plus the $20 code BB sent me, I paid around $55 for the SE.

I checked my store. No dice, and they actually only had one copy of Birthright left on the shelf (but I'm guessing more in back). No N3DSXLs, either. They still have 2 of those oversized Legend of Legacy boxes sitting there, though. I shouldn't be surprised; I have been watching for a month or more now, and that freaking place STILL doesn't have any compressed air on the shelf.

No reports of physical offerings in Wal-Mart, I don't suppose? I thought of checking GS, but people said the pre-orders are kept for 48 hours, so I'd probably just check that tomorrow.

Gamestop is sold out nationwide of all physical Fire Emblem's unless you can get them to sell you someone's preorder that didn't pick up. Amazon is also sold out of Birthright physical.

After reading this post, I went to BestBuy.com to check the availability of physical copies of both games. Birthright is unavailable for shipping at the time of this post.

You can, however, order Birthright online and pick it up in store.

Now, I have to hope for a second pressing of the physical copies.

I wasn't aware of that, just assumed since I've never had something move from "preparing" to "shipped" over a weekend.

If that is the case, the likely cause in these situations would then be UPS not having normal operations over the weekend.

Forgot to mention it could vary by fulfillment center as well.

I'm kinda tempted though my shelves dedicated to useless crap are pretty full already. Would these be the first Amiibo that actually did something interesting in the game?

Pretty much every single FE Amiibo was hard to find/get a launch. It took over a year (and like 3 additional runs) before Marth's after market prices dropped to resonable levels. I think Ike got a re-run but based on his eBay prices, Nintendo again failed to get the demand right. I'm not even gonna bother mentioning Robin and Lucina. I'm assuming a reprint is coming stateside but I'm also assuming it won't be enough to quell the crazy aftermarket prices.

Don't think you'll have to wait for a second pressing. The game is still available on Target.com and other retailers. All the BB still have it in my area.

Granted, that's almost a by-default title, given how they ran Party and Tennis into the ground with bad Wii U release and delayed/skipped Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing (a proper home console release, that is), and others. How many franchises do they have releasing quality titles with any regularity anymore?

Not calling FE bad by any means, but Nintendo's been quite lazy/slow of late.

Received my Walmart shipped copy of FE Special Edition.  It was sent via FedEx overnight, and came in a bubble mailer, but was in perfect shape inside.  Good luck to everyone else, and thanks to Walmart for bailing me out on this game.

It will definitely be resupplied but we won't know how long it will take. The situation could be like awakening where it will take awhile for the second shipment to actually reach retailer. Supposedly most Gamestop are already sold out of both copies already. So if you want to play the game on a physical copy soon it will be a good idea to pick it up now.

More shocked that you didn't end up with a piece of furniture instead of FE Fates SE.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but are other BB people still waiting for their FE collectors editions to be shipped?  Mine's been in Peparing to be Shipped for 3 days.
