Anyone picking up the Sonic Mania CE? I have the PS4 version preordered for $45 at Amazon but not sure if I want it.
 
Does anyone know if that thing that comes with the King's Edition is made of plastic or glass?

Either way, I'm envisioning a ton of people's arriving shattered and destroyed like the MGS Revengeance lamps

Hard plastic case with deeply rounded corners is like the perfect CE box. Not even Amazon could fuck that one up.

Ordered King's Edition for PC. Says no US shipping but order went through just fine anyways. Was the PS4 version really up and gone already? Tracker sites arn't showing a history of it going live

I am in the same boat not sure if I want it; cant tell how "limited" stock is going to be after release seems that only amazon is sold out of pre-orders.

i calculated the exchange. seems like the one from DE is a few bucks cheaper. i used google exchange calculation.

DE comes out to 131.73 EURO which is $155.50

UK comes out to 121.61 Pounds which is $157.75

is there a reason why u are cancelling the one from Amazon DE?

 
Amazing. Canceled pc and placed an order for the PS4. Now to figure out if I want to keep the U.S. edition...

Same here. Pretty amazed (and happy) at the $155 price tag for it. I still would like the plus for the kids but otherwise have no problem paying 50 bucks less for the better CE.

2 bucks is worth not having to deal with German. Shrike also brings up a good point that if there are any regional differences then the U.K. one will be in English. I still think they will be identical but better safe than sorry.

Edit: Maybe something with Brexit will happen and the pound will weaken too 😈

Also, how much did Amazon have the PS4 CE for? I have the Switch Pre-ordered at BB and was going to cancel but noticed my pre-order for the PS4 Mania CE was only $45 before tax...

I had a preorder at like $40, I cancelled to keep my Switch one tho

 
Sweet, placed an order for the Kings Edition on Amazon UK. Kinda nervous it's going to come wrecked in the mail but it seems like a much better deal than the USA edition.

Never had an problem with any of the Amazon international orders... I wouldn't cancel my GS pre-order yet but I think you'll be fine.

My order was placed with the "doesn't ship to US" note but I'm not worried, order went through fine. They did put a 1% pending charging on my credit card- glad they did it now so I can approve it.

You can always return the GS CE post-purchase, though you may not be able to reorder it if you cancel.

GS won't charge until shipment, either.

Thanks for the heads-up about the Amazon UK Ni No Kuni 2 King's Edition on PS4. Snagged a pre-order. Got one for the PS4 and PC now. Will probably cancel the PC one later but will hold onto both for now in case one of them gets cancelled by Amazon UK.

I ordered it and it went through. Did you find out if they will keep the order? I see the message that says "will not ship to US" but it let me keep the order for now. Just ordered the PS4 version.

I tried to ship a second o with a second account to a friend and they cancelled it so he's gonna have to use his own account. I was surprised since shipping address was different t but billing was same
 
A little off the topic of CEs, but there has been a lot of disappointment here over the past year with how Amazon has been shipping their stuff. More than ever.

Well, I ordered an external HDD for my dekstop(comes in a pretty decently sized box) and Amazon stuffed it into a huge bubble envelope.

Amazon can seriously go F off. Unless they have an exclusive or they are an only-option, with the Prime discount on CEs gone, I'm not ordering CEs from them anymore. Their shipping is so atrocious, and we all know it's so they can save money to fund Bezos' Mars colonization.
