Almost anything Capcom has released in recent years for SF that was even half way decent, was way over produced. And this even more so than anything I can think of in recent memory.

I agree 1000 would have been the magic number for qty, and $50 should have been tops on price. Maybe $65 for the variant color, if it was able to be picked. So 750 for the regular, and then 250 on the variant in total seems the best they could have done. I think at those numbers this would move and sell out in a decent time. At 5500, I see this never selling out, and actually being put on discount at some point, although I'm unsure how iam8-bit works in that regard. But if this was on Capcom's site, it would be 50% off rather soon.

To have a variant, that requires the box to be opened to find out if you have it, this is just about one of the worst CE items I think I have ever seen, and there's a new contender every month for those top honors. LOL Talk about an item where the intended audience is not being reached, this is a text book example. Then that warning was icing on the cake of an already terribly conceived product.

 
So recently got charged $20 by BBY and I think it was b/c I cancelled my Destiny 2 pre-order, at least it occurred on the same date- only instance of my interaction with BBY the day I have the charge... didn't they claimed they'd be doing that when pre-orders went up but later said they'd stop due to backlash?

You were charged for the beta code, contact them and they'll fix it. It happened to me too.

Iam8bit had really good service for me. I preordered the OoT vinyl months ago and when it shipped, there were a couple tears in the top of the jacket. I sent them pics and they sent a replacement quickly, but they sent replacement sleeves, which were fine. So I let them know a couple weeks later the jacket was what was damaged and they sent another replacement immediately. I also had issues with a download code they had to send me three times. So I suppose there were some issues, but they were very nice and quick in addressing them.

But their CRM changed it to "coming soon" on accident and I love disappointment so I was hoping for a restock that deep down I knew would never come. Even worse is I have a GS CE preorder, don't even like the game, and am only getting it because it will be the only game friends and family are playing post September online save for a bit of Battlefront 2.

Anyone have any issues with their Steelbook Yakuza Kiwami?  Gone through three and all were dented lol.  Gonna try to exchange it again today and pray this one is in good shape.

Mine came in a beat up amazon bubble mailer too big for it and a book and turned out fine. Luck of the draw I guess. It seems like they did a pretty big run though since it's still in stock places so good luck!

I want the bag so when people ask me why my team asks why I've requested the office meetings to be held outside I can explain that I need at least 7 hours in the sun to charge my phone enough to use it throughout the day.

It's so funny. I had ordered it from Best Buy with a couple copies of Resident Evil Revelations for me and a buddy. Best Buy shipped me 3 copies of each by mistake, as I only needed 2 RE and 1 Kiwami. I returned the other two Yakuza copies and picked the damaged one to keep since I didn't see the dent until I opened it. Talk about bad luck right? Exchanged it another time and this one too has a dent in the book. Getting irritated at this point lol.

It's not actually limited to 1,000, it's just that they are only selling 1,000 copies through their store. These are the excess CEs that were printed for the Kickstarter. Basically, if you backed the CE or above in the Kickstarter, you're getting this instead of some of the other items that were promised at the time. The total print run is approximately 5,000 on the CE.

I got it from BB. It was sent in a box and arrived without any damage. Hope you find an undamaged one :)

No physical game included? Seems like that's becoming a bit of a trend, as odd as it is.

I'd probably be in for one regardless because I absolutely loved the first Divinity: Original Sin, but this next month is already going to slaughter my wallet Ys, Danganronpa, Metroid, and a bunch of standard editions.

Generally only collector's editions at this point, and even then they're more seen as a novelty than functional (i.e. a download code is also included). I don't watch the PC market too terribly much, but the last few LRG PC games have both had physical discs.

I received the copy of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle CE yesterday and it appears Gamestop just slapped a shipping label on the boxes that Ubisoft supplied them as my brown shipping box had Ubisoft info on it. Most interesting though is the brown shipping box was numbered "1861 of 2524" indicating that there may have been a total of only 2524 units produced of the CE. That would be extremely limited for anything involving the Mario franchise.

That's true, but normally with new IP's, CE like this are normally produce in small numbers. At least that's how it has been for MS/Sony in the past. "N" marches to their own drum, so no telling WTF may be going on over there. LOL

No physical game, unfortunately. I was a Kickstarter backer and repeatedly asked them to do one, but they refused.

I received the copy of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle CE yesterday and it appears Gamestop just slapped a shipping label on the boxes that Ubisoft supplied them as my brown shipping box had Ubisoft info on it. Most interesting though is the brown shipping box was numbered "1861 of 2524" indicating that there may have been a total of only 2524 units produced of the CE. That would be extremely limited for anything involving the Mario franchise.

It's just from that batch. It's not 2524 total. I have plenty of CEs that came in boxes that said #/800 or whatever, but there were over 20k produced of them.

 
So. Is there an unboxing hiding out there for Destiny 2 limited? Considering the ps4 pro bundle since my ps4 trades for 225... saves 50 with expansion pass..but I have to give up my steelbook and duds... guess I could get steelbook off ebay one day since it's what I really want from the limited.

If I can get a decent price for my Gold Slim, I will go for that White PS4 Pro. I don't care for it being white, but I like the price with the LE of the game.

I'm trading my OG for this bundle, but for the polar opposite reason. I could care less about Destiny 2 and only want the white Pro.

I'm playing the game on :xb1: but selling the LE of the :ps4: version of the game might offset the cost of the bundle enough to where it's cheaper than buying the black Pro. But then again, I don't care for the white that much and the effort to sell the game might be prohibitive because 99% of the people on the garage sale apps are ASS.

Looking at the various listings on GS it appears that the pro bundle comes with the Digital Deluxe Edition. I don't think this'll be too difficult to move on eBay or the likes for more than $50 after all fees.

Thanks for this info. Having a PUR Pro account is a different story since it's not automatic $50 on top for everyone.
 
Hmmm, the trade-in deal while appealing to dump an old PS4, you have to factor that it is GameStop and any additional credit is easily eaten by discounted savings at other stores, such as BB. AFAIK, there's no easy way to move credit other than used trading flips to BB, correct? Can't just buy giftcards anymore?

 
damn, that a great deal to trade in my original ps4 for the ps4 pro plus destiny 2.  Does gamestop allow trade ins of consoles that have been opened?  I put a 2tb in my ps4.  I'm guessing they don't.
