Yeah I've found that if you order a single not so big item like a game, there's a decent chance it'll come in one of those mailers.

i was able to pre-order the star wars BF II steelbook from Amazon Italy. It still up at the moment.

Amazon has it back up with a release date of 17th of October, and the price is slightly higher as well I believe. I went ahead and grabbed 2 copies for now, but I'll cancel these and go with B&N if and when theirs goes back up.

The trend if CE prices going up comes with CEs having less and cheaper goods.

By time they get to $400 you'll be lucky if you just get the game. A digital voucher of course.

Unfortunately not. You will lose sound quality via transfer. A great starter table is the U-Turn Orbit and the price is right.

I'm actually enjoying it so far. The core gameplay and everything is amazing, just some questionable character design choices and the roster is a bit....weird.

If the rumors are true it sounds like we are getting a buttload of DLC character seasons. But atleast we started with a better roster than Street Fighter V

Good to know that the game plays well, but the character design and DLC are enough to make me wait until the inevitable ultimate edition with only 85% of the total DLC characters.

EDIT: Those EU steelbook are pretty awesome, ordered the wolfenstein and evil within 2; here's hoping battlefront 2 comes back in stock.

PS4 games aren't region locked, but dlc and/or redeemable codes inside the CE has to be obtained through that region's PSN store. Not sure regarding the language, but there should be an option that allows you to choose your language (in most cases anyway).

It seems to have been that way for awhile, but maybe it just appears that way, as I never look in to the steelbooks much. I'm sure if there is a real divide happening, it has to do with customers, region, or something else where some brainiac higher ups have decided they sale better, or have more demand in the UK vs. US.

I was going to recommend importing for those who are interested, but I agree the prices on these are often inflated over what the US version would be. Depending on how big they expect this game to perform here, I'm sure we may see it, but I we rarely get any of these special units here. And when we do, it is only for really big AAA titles. That is for sure one of the better looking ones I've seen, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for those looking to get a US system at some point.

Thanks for the heads up on the steelbook. While it's actually a metalpak I think Amazon touted it as exclusive for a while and I'd much rather get the cert and GCU.

 
Speaking of Shadow of War, we're about a month away now, what is everyone going to do with their GameStop CE? Keep it or cancel?

I loved the first game and I love everything that comes with the CE. It's just so expensive. I have one at GameStop ($325) and one at Amazon UK ($220), but I'm only going to keep one. I could cover the GameStop copy with trade credit instead of cash.
 
The Mithril Edition?  I'm keeping mine...it's the only big LE purchase (besides the Scorpio Edition XBO X) I'm making this year and I'm a Tolkien nerd.  It'll go in the Vault, while I play the heck out of the Best Buy CE.

 
That CE and Console, sucks that I just got my Pro like a month ago. I would've jumped on that one!

So the game in the CE is actually digital? I'm guessing that's what it means.

Nerd Hat On: Technically, it is 19. 19 Rings of Power (Which is what the BB Pre-Order bonus is) are Silver/Mithril. The One Ring (Which is the Gamestop Pre-Order Bonus) was made in secret, therefore isn't a ring of power.

We are between Battle of the Five Armies and the Fellowship of the Ring, approximately 60 years after The Death of Thorin Oakenshied. Yes, that butts it right up against the FOTR. Monolith is taking many liberties with the license.

Speaking of Shadow of War, we're about a month away now, what is everyone going to do with their GameStop CE? Keep it or cancel?

I loved the first game and I love everything that comes with the CE. It's just so expensive. I have one at GameStop ($325) and one at Amazon UK ($220), but I'm only going to keep one. I could cover the GameStop copy with trade credit instead of cash.

I need to look more closely at the unboxing vid, but I think the only thing of substance in the CE is the statue (which looks BAD.ASS). I'm on the fence, but I need to stop returning my big ticket items to GS (first D2 CE, then most likely MvC, then most likely this).

I never got a pre-order of the Mithril Edition in at Gamestop but I managed to snag one on Amazon UK when it first popped up. I'm going to keep that one, especially as it is much cheaper.

Oh btw, anyone that returns their BBY Destiny 2 CE, the Plaque/Art thingy doesn't show on the order so you can keep it ;D

So can anyone confirm the preorder costumes for MvC Infinite were part of the character pass? I can't find the code anywhere but read that it was included in the character pass itself, just hasn't had time to check.

I heard the same thing. I have not entered the codes yet but once I get home, and after the Day 1 patch, I will enter the code for Character Pass and let you know if the costumes comes with the Pass. Also there is an exclusive Cap Marvel costume for the PS4 if you bought the Deluxe or Collectors Ed as well

Probably not. You must not be a Steelbook collector. Europe gets way more Steelbooks than we do.

Considering MH is traditionally a 4 player co-op game, it's for the social aspect.
