I get it, was thinking he was saying both consoles had no decals because it could be read that way because comma separation implies it could apply to both subjects. Doesn't make sense when you you look at it though since the PS4 has nothing at all on it, not just the missing face decals.

That would mean they cared in the slightest what their paying customers are receiving, and if anyone doesn't know already, let me fill you in.........They could care less!

 
The packaging for their Wii era CEs in Europe were top notch. The Last Story and Pandora's Tower CEs were actually incredibly--both contents and build quality. It was like shipping box cardboard. 

 
Now I'm glad I just decided on the Japanese Treasure box CE. Sold the jp game locally for $70 to someone who just can't wait 2 more weeks to play it. Now ill just buy the reg us game for $48

Yeah, I was referring specifically to the US market, as our current offering might as well be packaged in tissue for all the good those flimsy boxes do.

That wasn't always the case here either, as I remember the Earthbound box set having a rather thick and durable box. But I guess that was back when "N" had more money, and less competition. I didn't get any CE for the GC or the Wii, as I can't remember us getting any that was worth buying, but there may have been a few.

 
How is Square Enix about damages/ compensation? I was really lucky to get in on the restock of Nier: Automata CE but the box looks like crap. The shipping box also looks bad. It fit the CE perfectly with no room for air pillows or any padding. I thought Square usually double boxed their CEs. My FFV CE came double boxed. I still want it but I am disappointed. But they did  add a free FFV sunshade to my order but I'm not sure if that's a recent promotion or if the Nier CEs all came with FFV sunshades. I know they can't send another since it's sold out.

They are literally terrible about it. It will take them days or even weeks to respond and then their response will be that you can return the item at your expense for a refund. They won't replace for a damaged box nor will they give you a credit or voucher for future purchases.

The inside box of my FFXV CE had a slash on it which would only be possible if it happened before being packaged and they sent me a replacement without having to ship the damaged part back. It took a bit of time emailing a few places, but eventually they sent a replacement. If they offer a refund or exchange, just let them know you just want the damaged piece replaced.

Keep in mind that I emailed them shortly after I got it when it first came out, so they may have had spares at that time.

Was anything inside damaged??? Like the figure, artbook, or steelbook? If not, id just keep it. SE store will not do partial compensations from experience. They'll just want you to return it if that's the case.

Yeah, I've heard pretty bad stories about their store over the years, which is probably why I have never order from there. I may get that NS title that's an exclusive there, but that's a pretty safe buy, as it's just a standard game, with little chance of getting damaged.

It really sucks that a company of that size treats fans/customers in that way. NISA, a company who probably doesn't sale a 3rd of what SE does, will replace items again and again until your satisfied(at no charge). It's always funny how that works, large company could care less, small company does what it takes to keep your business.

I'm assuming since Tyrok posted it that's how they were shipped to stores (Best Buy in this case). Amazon would just make it worse once they throw it in a bubble mailer. But, yeah, I'll be surprised if mine arrives in decent condition.

3 was Excellent along with Blood Dragon DLC - 4 wasnt bad but the villain wasn't as fun as Vas in 3 and DLC was bland - Primal was pretty good if you can negate that it should of been a DLC price wise its good now but when dropped wasn't worth the 60$ and it was cool cause its no Guns made it a lot more interesting. Good solid FPS mechanics and open world - repetitive missions and alot of collectables can be downside.

 
My Fire Emblem SE order from Best Buy got delayed and I won't receive until 10/24 now. I used the online chat to demand for some compensation and they would not give it to me, so I had to call in to their support number. They say on their end they still see expected delivery date is 10/20 even though I got an email saying my order was delayed and the tracker number says 10/24, so the representative told me to call back tomorrow again if the game doesn't come in.

Hopefully they give me some gift card for their screw up.

There's so many things wrong with this post that all I'm going to say is you're exactly the type of person that is what's wrong with people today.

Hopefully the larger shipments that Amazon and BB.com probably got were more secure.

South Park Steelbook worth it?  Hesitant after my Yakuza Kiwami Steelbook headache where I had to go through 6 of them to not get a fucking damaged one.

What is wrong with complaining that they missed their delivery and hoping they give me compensation? I ordered from both Amazon and Best Buy and canceled the Amazon order in hopes of Best Buy pulling through. It doesn't make the release date delivery so I have the right to complain I see nothing wrong with what I did. Of course I was also respectful to the representatives I talked to.

I was a little bit late preordering this one so store pickup was no longer an option for me, I hope the ones shipping from BB.com come in better shape.

It doesn't make the release date delivery so I have the right to complain I see nothing wrong with what I did. Of course I was also respectful to the representatives I talked to.

You have a right to complain but you sound too entitled to receive compensation just for missing 4 days. Just simply reorder it for pickup from store. If they canceled it, that's more understandable. Plus Best Buy isn't the type to do compensation in the 1st place
 
Looks like my Fire Emblem SE is going to miss release date delivery as well. That's 4/5 for BestBuy missing their release date delivery for me. I think I'll be sticking with Amazon in the future unless something is eligible for GCU and not the 20% Prime discount.

I've missed a lot more release date deliveries with Amazon with Best Buy, so I will be sticking with BB.  Not to mention the Reward points are a nice bonus.  That said I also got the delivery delay email from BB about the Fire Emblem Warriors SE, though my delay is supposedly only until Saturday and I actually wouldn't be surprised if it got delivered on Friday since I've had next day delivery on several items that were shipped later than expected from BB.

The three disc OST more than justifies the extra cost for me. Though a better box and character cards would have been nice.

 
Just got emails saying my FE Warriors SE and Chrom Amiibo were ready for pickup today at Best Buy. My Tiki should be coming Monday or Tuesday from Walmart. Also had $5 down at Gamestop as a backup as well to be safe incase it was rare. Really couldnt pass on a Fire Emblem SE since I have managed to get the others so far (And I am super hyped for this anyway).

Same for me. It's not that I need the game by release day, but when packages come via UPS I need to know in advance when they're coming so I can work from home to receive them. UPS won't just leave stuff by my door, and if I'm not there to receive it after the first attempt they take it to an Access Point ~15 minutes away the following business day.

I've only missed one release day shipping window from Amazon, and they compensated me with a free month of Prime automatically. The BBY rewards points are pretty darn nice, but I don't think they're worth it for me personally since their actual delivery windows seem to be all over the place.
