FAQ:
  • What is this thread? A massive collection of limited edition games & other attributing items, included with links.
  • Why put it all in one thread? More traffic due to collaborating interests.
  • Why is that important? This keeps the thread popular and doesn't risk a failed CE from falling through the cracks unnoticed.
  • What can be discussed here? Anything relevant to what is posted.
  • Why make another CE compilation? Karma.
  • Where are the big pictures? Still here, scroll down. Due to the increased number of CEs, a preface post is needed.
  • When is the Final Fantasy XVI CE? Not announced. Granted, IF it does, you can bet I will devote an entire page to it.
  • What about other CEs that have been announced? Give me a minute. It takes a bit of time to format the title, price, date, & retailer links in correctly.
  • What about the Book/Steelbook/Console/Misc. Picture Posts? I condensed the thread. Not necessary to include pictures for all those items. They will still be included in the Everything List post.

NIS America has the Atelier Yumia Premium Box up for pre-order for Xbox/ps5/switch for $150 (Switch) or $160 (PS5/Xbox) + shipping (Can do pay in 4 for those who like to spread payments out)

I stopped playing Atelier series when they decided it wasn’t worth an English dub anymore.

Seems kind of crappy for $150... unless that artbook is like a 200 page hardcover artbook (which it's prob not).

Agreed, where is the value in this? Especially when you compare its $160 price to something like the Y's X collector's edition at $105.

Give me a collector's edition with a nice art book and soundtrack at a reasonable price and I'd pre-order day 1. They can sell stuffed animals and plastic crap separately, but personally I'm not interested.

I do agree that a $90-$100 CE with a steelbook, artbook, and OST selection is the sweet spot IMO (Although I miss the good ol days where all that would be $75 - $85). I feel like this additional stuff is primarily from the Japanese fans, who gravitate towards stuff like acrylics and plushies.

amazon.fr is shipping the Life is Strange steelbook edition and they have it still for all platforms if gamestop isn't your jam. It's about $78 shipped.

It's an hour drive for me to get to a GS and they are notorious for not giving pre-order bonuses to online orders. I'd rather pay a few dollars more on an EU amazon than use them.

Yeah, seriously not worth the effort. Plus pretty sure all GS steelbooks look like shit because they're not individually wrapped.

I got the Dragon Age metal print+steelbook in today. It looks really nice. $40 seems a tad steep, but a much better deal than the rook's coffer.

Definitely needs proxy service, got one now since there's no telling if or how many playasia would have for sale.

Biggest discrepancy between user and critics reviews i think I’ve ever seen. 60-80% negative user score against 80-85 critic score. Sounds like the paid professionals are enjoying it alteast.

For the record, I thought LoUII was a great game (that came out a terrible time).

Waiting for $10 like the dragon ball and park beyond CE’s. Just kidding, it’s probably not getting that low, but will get lower if it does not sell out. Bandai has demonstrated there pretty much is no floor, they just keep going lower.

Thought so. That explains Jujustu kaisen “CE” dropping by a lot. Probably will be $5 on Black Friday at this point

Well that game just sucked so price dropped on it fast. Something like Tekken won't get that low. $100 is a new low though as I bought it for $150 from them quite awhile back. I'm waiting for the Shadow of the Erdtree CE to get to like $100

STALKER 2 CE is gonna be slow and amazon says I won't get it until the 25th.
Lots of weird stuff with the CEs for that one. I don't believe the Ultimate Edition ever opened for pre-orders on any US retailers and I believe Amazon and Gamestop were the only retailers for the Collector's and Special Edition. It looks like they took pre-orders for a short time for second prints of all three versions for delivery in Spring 2025 through Final Boss Bundle, but on those second prints, they won't guarantee that they come with the unique to each version steelbooks. In any event, it will be interesting to see what fulfillment looks like in the next few weeks.

I've the limited on US amazon for like 5 minutes. The CE has popped up several times the past week. Amazon France has the limited and CE still up. Ultimate isn't around at all. That's $200 more for a lamp and backpack though.

Speaking of spensive, Flight Sim 2024 has a CE I didn't know about.

The version of the game with it is $200, so that's $60 of goodies if you are ok with $130 worth of planes with too.

a bit off topic but if you purchase from any vendors that utilize Braintree as payment processor AND paid with credit card (not paypal), watch your credit card statement. Words on the street is the payment processor been breached and credit card infos have been stolen. I know for sure Goodsmile and Square Enix US using Braintree

Received mine too (from Amazon). Packaging is all nicely designed, but I expected the figurine to be taller given the size of the box. It feels high quality though
