Alright ya'll - I've created an Official Costco Trading / Requests forum

Move all banter over there - hopefully that'll clear things up
Nice, I was just going to create one now. It should go in the "Master Trade Lists / Trade Your _____ Here" sub-forum. It's not a big deal but that's the new place for these types of store-specific trading threads. I'll ask a mod to move it. You probably ought to put the link near the top of your post, though, so it is easier to see.
i never really understood the need for so many different forums. whats the difference if some trades are discussed here? dont most people just PM with trades anyway?
The powers that be (beyond me ) have decided to handle things this way. It is a bit different in a one-off deal thread (like 1 game being on sale at a specific place) but when it is an ongoing discussion about clearances or sales at a specific store (like this one) we generally have a separate trade thread. For one, it keeps the main thread free of those kinds of posts so people can see the actual deals better. But also, your trade offers should be more visible in a trade-only thread. They will tend to get buried pretty quickly in the main thread. If people remember to check over there and post in it, it should work ;).

Hey Io - can you PM me a direct link once the thread is moved? (assuming the URL is different) I'll change it after that, thanks!

Stopped by Costco over the weekend - nothing new - just reconfirmed Nights price.

Heard that some got Wii bundles w/ SMG & Wii Play + Chuch for $350 - but didn't see anything at local one.

Picked up the last copy of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for XBox 360 from my local Costco for $32.97 + Tax. Still possible to find, never realized they had good prices on newly released games until now. Thanks OP!!!

I went to Costco today and I saw some deals:

Turning Point Fall of Liberty: PS3 and Xbox 360 = $31.86 ($20.00 Instant Rebate)
Mario and Sonic Olympics: WII = $25.86 (Instant Rebate as well.)
I went to Costco today and I saw some deals:

Was there an instant rebate on top of the $25.86, or was that the final price? I guess either way it beats out GameCrazy's current sale, but I'm still curious.

$25.86 was the final price with instant discount, sorry for any confusion.

Is this game worth picking up?
Is this game worth picking up?
Well, this is a game that people love to hate. So lots of people would say no. I got it for about $25 when CompUSA was closing in my town, and I've defiantly gotten my money's worth. The individual events are a mixed bag, like most mini-game collections. The trampoline is a great one, the shooting games are challenging and good, most of the non-jumping games are fun, especially the relays and javelin/hammer throws.

The special games are really fun, with lots of Mario Kart style antics on fun levels. Those are the highlight of the game. Unfortunately you have to unlock them, which can only be done in single player mode. Also, the higher levels of the game become really hard and I've never unlocked the awesome looking 10,000 m high dive.

Multiplayer is about what you expect. Most of the events are alternating multiplayer, with only the races and versus being simultaneous. Fencing is one gem of a multiplayer game, with much more strategy then you might think.

The only complaint that I have is you have to wade through all the bad games many times in order to unlock the really great ones. But if you can handle that, then by all means, go for it. The characters are fun and the graphics are good, the sound is mostly enjoyable.

You got the price on Mario and Sonic mixed up. The DS version is $25.86. The Wii version is $36 and change after an $8 rebate. Confirmed at two different Costco locations.

Some new deals at Costco...

All 'instant rebate' prices are good through 4/20.

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? DS - #255693
$20.99 - down from $25.99

Paws & Claws Animal Resort (or something) DS - # 291696

Drawn to Life DS - #236212
$20.79 - down from $25.79

I have no opinion on any of those games except 'Drawn to Life'. For $20, its worth it. Its a simple side scroller/top-down-RPGish title where you actually draw the main character, draw platforms, weapons, bouncy block thingys, vehicles, etc. and color in parts of the scenery. Really great game, but it's geared towards kids, so expect it to be a bit easy.

Also, I can confirm that both Mario & Sonic at the Olympic titles are on rebate.

And I've been checking status on GTAIV, and so far, nothing. I'll let you know as soon as it pops up, what the retail price will be set at.

Reminder OP: Nights and Virtua Fighter 5 go back to 'regular' price tomorrow, so you'll need to update the top post then.

Or...if you dont mind downloading a save file and its not against ur ethics, you can get a complete save file @ gamefaqs:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/save/938798.html - dont use the datel ones, but the wii one. It ends in .bin.

Rename the save file to data.bin, then just upload it to a SD card (stick it in "E:\private\wii\TITLE\RWSE"; replace "E" drive for whatever your SD card reader's drive is) and then you'll have a save file w/ all the games, ready for a multiplayer party!

I personally unlocked everything myself, was disappointed that i had to do it all over again to be able to play my fav minigames on my friend's wii (cuz you cant transfer save files to an SD card if the game has any sort of wifi capability) so...i downloaded this save file instead and saved hours of unlocking and played 10000 m right away! :D

and IMHO, i think Mario/Sonic is great if you have competitve people over, but i'd skip the whole 1 player thing...it gets old pretty quick ;)
when will the wii be in stock? Costco has the best bundle
Whenever you're least expecting it, sitting in the food court eating a hot dog.

Well, that's when they were in stock for me anyways...

I actually found a report that shows them when they are on order. Most reports/screens don't show this, but I was going over an incoming stock sheet last week and it said '24 wii's'... 2 days later they came in!

One of the managers gave me the report... It's not available to all employee login usernames. Pretty neat though. The Wii is in such high demand that it doesn't show up on the other reports to discourage camping.

Can someone list what the other video game system bundles include and what they cost? This might also be helpful as a great many people buy their systems from Costco because of the warranty and the value.

Not true, if you know the item # and are diligent, you can find it through IOH (item on hand) or IA1 (items in area) search. Both will show you stock and whether or not it is in transit, which if it is, it usually means next day.

Good idea... I'll try and compile that info today.

Lost for Xbox 360 also has an instant rebate. I didn't get the details, but I think it may be around the same price as Turning Point.

I saw that yesterday and took a picture of it. I'll see if I can post it.

I also saw a WII bundle for $399.99 includes SMG, Wii Play, nunchuck and WII.
Also saw that they lowered the Xbox Pro bundle to $399.99 from $429.99.

i'm kind of new to this, but wanted to let people know that the xbox elite is available online. just in case anyone was in the market and desired the best warranty in the world.

I really need to buy my own membership. What's the difference between regular and business? So I need anything as proof if I apply for business?
I really need to buy my own membership. What's the difference between regular and business? So I need anything as proof if I apply for business?
None really, except the business membership gets you in the door one-hour before non-business/non-executive members. You get in at 10:00 a.m. instead of 11:00 on weekdays, that's it. I believe you just need a business license or stationary of some sort to get the business membership, otherwise there's pretty much no difference between that and the gold star (regular) membership.
Good idea... I'll try and compile that info today.
My bad, I misread your post regarding the print out incoming stock form, and you are right, it's not readily available, only to managers from that department for merchandising, arrangement purposes.

Sorry :)

Alright... Someone asked for a rundown of the bundles... so here's the ones that my store personally has in stock right now. Older bundles are available YMMV. And we don't have a Wii bundle on hand right now, but I'll let you know what I can remember...

#584433
PSP - Star Wars Darth Vader Edition, comes with headphones, AV Cable and Star Wars Battlefront. - $237.99

#879995
Nintendo DS Lite - Available in pink, white, black and red/black. Comes with Zelda:phantom Hourglass, 2 different Zelda game cases and a 'comfort stylus', one of those sytluses that you can bend around your finger... - $172.99

#333335
Playstation3 - 40gig with Spiderman 3 Blur-Ray, Ratchet and Clank Future, extra Sixaxis controller... Remember, this one is not backwards compaitble. - $514.99

#888881
Xbox 360 Premium - 20gig HDD, extra wireless controller, Play N' Charge kit. - $399.69

Nintendo Wii - comes with Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Play (with extra wiimote), extra nunchuck. - $349.99

There you go...

Another little deal... I don't have specifics, but I saw a piece of marketing for it today...

You can get a copy of 'Juno Special Edition' DVD for FREE when you buy $60 in iTunes gift cards. That's a four pack of $15 cards. And I guess technically you get an instant rebate for $23.99 for the film, but that's the retail price anyway...

In related news... The Gift Edition of Juno is $29.99 and comes with a slang book or something and a T-Shirt. I'll try and nail down the item numbers and specifics this week.

Updated w/ bundle info for now - I'll beautify it after tomorrow after I get slapped around by a GI pharmacology exam - any gastroenterologists in the house wanna be my proxy?
Do you think they'll have Mario Kart for $44 like they do Brawl?
Yeah, they have it in the computer as such with the wheel, I saw it the other day but didn't think it really newsworthy.

Hey man... I'm about to leave town so i dont feel like typing it all twice... here's a costco sale thread i created for more of those $15.99 wii games... as well as GT5 for PS3. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4241633#post4241633

I figure you can copy paste or whatever. its the same item number as all those other wii games... i just felt that because Wii Pinball is so popular right now, it deserved its own thread.

Thanks!
Don

OH! Also... anyone get a line on GTAIV pricing yet? I've been checking often under Grand and Theft and Auto and gtaiv and gta... but no luck so far...

I did a final search for GTAIV today... nothing came up... looks like Costco isn't carrying it, unless someone else has other info. Usually we get titles with street dates early, and everything thing else a day or two late... so it's not looking good.

and yeah, MarioKart Wii is $43.xx with the wheel... i didnt take down the item number, but shipments seem to be decent so you should be able to find it everywhere.

doesn't GTA come out tomarrow?

Alien Syndrome for the Wii has been added to the $15.99 budget title selection.

Also, 'Nights' for the Wii is clearance priced at $29.77. I think that's a company wide price drop, but I'd need confirmation from someone outside of the (new) San Diego region.

'Are you smarter than a 5th grader?' and 'Paws & Claws Animal Resort' for the DS also dropped to $17.97.
