Sorry, but I am no longer going to be posting the latest updates here due to me not working with the company any longer and having a difficult time getting regular updates.

FAQs:

What if the price isn't accurate in store? Ans: Ask them to scan the title anyway and/or check the master game sales list online as my prices ARE accurate.

What if the in store game has no for sale sticker? Ans: Sorry chances are it isn't for sale, we usually leave a few for rent..but doesn't hurt to ask an employee Just in Case.

Why doesn't the online price reflect your price? Ans: Although it's one company and prices *usually* match..there are times when they don't or might be sold out. Sorry

Do games come with manuals/box? Ans: All games come with original artwork/case, but sometimes rental customers don't return manuals, so it's about 50/50.

What if I buy a game that doesn't work? Ans: All games are guaranteed to be in working condition. We clean all games before selling them. You can even replace games in the store that were purchased online! People have told me that the e-commerce site is very helpful also with returns/replacements.

What if my store is not offering the specials listed, is this YMMV? Ans: No this is not YMMV. Unless the store is down to it's last few copies of a game, it should be for sale. What do the numbers next to the titles mean? The numbers represent how many copies of an item a B&M store will protect for rental only. For example, if you see 4 copies on the shelf for rent and my listing has a (3) beside it, 1 should be for sale.
Listings with a (5*) means that there will be at least 5 kept for rent, but if the title is renting well the remaining copies may or may not be for sale, ask staff for assistance.

Same here, bought it the day it came out and when I got to the end the game glitched on me. Kept me from getting the ending I wanted. Maybe I should give it a try again though, I heard a lot of that stuff was fixed with patches now.

If you tried getting the NCR ending where they tell you to protect the president (eventhough you already did it) and no one talks to you and thinks you didn't complete it, well I can tell you now it's not fixed and I played this just last week.

if there was more than 1 copy at the store, then bring it to the attention of someone working there...sorry you had the issue. Read my FAQs on the first page if you need any help with doing so....but again since that title on my listing has a (1) next to it, there should only be 1 copy they are protecting to rent only.

If they had more than one copy in the store, would they have more than one case out on the floor?

Edit: Read the FAQ. I think there was only one case on the shelf so that's probably the problem. Damn.

actually not a bad question though...sometimes they may have more than one copy left with only one case on the floor due to space constraints....but in this case it is probably due to having just one copy yes...but of course you could contact mrright4you4now (details at bottom of OP) and he can hook you up if youre worried about our online store not having the manual or something
 
Shot him a PM. Thanks for the tip. If not I'll just order it online, but it would probably be quicker if he shipped it compared to the 5-10 days on the website.

I've been hoping to see crysis 2 for 20 or less for a while now. It happened with bulletstorm (thank goodness I wated instead of doing a impulse buy) and it will happen here. This is just taking longer than other ea games to drop though for some reason
 
Saw a few copies of Socom 4 and Brink at my local store. Any recommendations on which one I should pick up? I have heard some people say that Brink sucks and I already play BLOPS alot so I'm not sure if I should get Socom 4.
 
Anyone know if there's a family video in the houston area in harris county? Just moved here from Michigan and they had one 5 minutes away from my house, really want pick up L.A. Noire for $30
 
they have been putting more and more stores out toward that area...i was going to go out to oklahoma to help open a few stores last year...but never ended up doing so...unless plans have changed over the last 6 months they should open up soon enough near you in texas...but i guess that doesn't do you any good at the moment eh?

I mean if nothing else you can just order it off the website or through the contact at the bottom of the OP..which would only cost you $2 more than at a store...which is basically the gas you'd pay getting there and back :whistle2:/
 
sorry...lowest I have is 19.95 today....usually those 9.95 weeks are good ones though as they will drop like 8 games at once..so hopefully next week...but updates were sent to me on time this week as well...so hopefully next week will be the same...see ya then!

i know...it is very weird for the price not to be the same for both systems...stores must have an over abundance of the 360 version they are trying to clear out....or it was an oversight...hopefully next week they will mirror each other

but for a good change to the OP...just added a coupon code....free shipping through labor day with code.....LABORDAY...so if you need to save that $2 and have something you've been waiting to grab...nows the time!

Its pretty crappy and seemingly random but sometimes the online store doesn't drop the prices on the games that the stores do. See Crackdown 2 360 online for $19.99 MONTHS after it was suppose to drop to $9.99 when the stores did it.

I sent mrright4youknow a PM on 8/12 asking for him to check out if he could find me a copy of Madden 11 for the 360. He said he'd check for me and let me know what he finds. Days go by. No PM.

On 8/21 I PMed him again asking him if he had forgotten about me. This is what I get:

You should of asked more details what he was doing not his fault he was kind enough to spend time sending the guy a text.

Just do it yourself you will learn sooner or later the only person you can count on is yourself. It is a fact and there are people that come through off and on but like they say do not count your chickens before they are hatched.

If you paid him to do something i would agree but you did not. He will most likely not help someone in the near future or at all cause you posted that. One less person trying to help others on here... -1 :applause:
 
shocked DNF is only $20. I seen this often around $20 new with free prime ship on amazon. I want the game just cause i was a huge fan. But if i pay over 20 new or 10-15 used i will hate myself. But the wait to play this is killing me. I heard brink was the worst game from almost everyone and i just bought it and it is not that bad. I guess people hate objective stuff and not fans of team work games. They might of fixed a bunch of bugs since launch but man it is not that bad now... To bad i played 6 hours and seen not one soul join me and can not find others to join.... The community is so dead! If you want to play hit me up.

it doesn't change the fact that price changes happen on wednesdays online...and it also says that they *usually* mirror things.....but i agree...it's frustrating to have to deal with the whole *usually* issue...trust me...i try to keep this thread free from as much YMMV stuff as I can..and when the online store has a different opinion of prices than the B&M stores....it annoys everyone...I've emailed them about this multiple times...but they just give me the same line about how technically the online prices and B&M prices are seperate.....well technically you are frustrating your customers...and employees (me) who are trying to keep sense in their forum threads :p

sorry for the minor rant..but yes...if you have a question please check the OP...i've laid out a FAQ place for a reason...it's very rare that a question you have wouldn't be answered there...even your situation although frustrating...is pretty much covered there

strait edge follower: feel free to check the listing of games behind the spoiler on the front page if you need a quicker answer in the future...unfortunately it's sitting at $30 still....hopefully it'll be one of those that drops soon....(and is reflected online properly also *sigh*)

Darn it. I figured since its a ea game and they drop on price fast on the used market that it would have droped like bulletstorm by now. Thanks for the response
 
XT14, I thought it might be worth noting that while you were without Internet a little while back, I had referred someone to mrright4younow. He later hopped in the thread to inform U's that he was no longer with Family Video. So it may be necessary to remove him from the OP or to ask him. He has been a big help to a lot of people, so it's not like he hasn't done a good deal of contributing to CAG.

hey thanks for the info...i honestly didn't realize that...well as it isn't his job to help spur sales anymore I took his name off the OP...mrright4you4now hope you have good luck in your future ventures if you check this post at all..thanks for helping as often as you did....sorry I didn't realize before that you had left the company...hope you haven't gotten too many pesky PMs that didn't apply to you anymore :p

Had he simply said "Hey, I don't work for Family Video anymore but I'm going to try to help you out anyway" I would've just told him thanks for the offer but I'll just take my chances online and I would've been satisfied anyway. As is I was kept in the dark the entire time with no idea what was going on.

It doesn't matter if I didn't pay him anything. Why couldn't he have just told me he wasn't going to be able to help me out weeks ago? As for him not "helping" someone it doesn't seem like too much of a loss if he doesn't even work at Family Video. Does he seem like a nice guy? Yes. Does he seem helpful in this situation? No. I can't blame him for not being able to help, but I can blame him for keeping me in the dark.
 
Family video at Shakopee, MN is garbage for used games. They never have any deals worthwile. I still go there for rentals from time to time.

When is family video getting 3DS games?

My guess is after the holidays....when more people actually have the system...the most popular DS games for rental are for younger kids typically...and there isn't a large lineup of those games yet...or parents that were willing to drop $250 on a handheld...so perhaps the install base will be a little larger after christmas and they will want to rent those out...I mean it's been this long and they still have never rented out PSP games....so for handhelds they are a little slow to act.
