Hmm. I have good luck detecting scammers (except for that emo fucker on A4F - if any of you live near Arabi, Georgia, I have a house I'd like you to visit), and I recall Cris_Ronaldo sending me a PM I didn't respond to precisely because I thought he was a scammer. Apparently I was lucky there).

Now that I think about it, out of ~25 greens within a 2 month period, I've been scammed 3 times for a total loss of $120, and that was all on FreeiPodGuide forums, so I'm sticking to Referral Swapper or being very cautious on A4F.

I also had 2 random greens that signed up and completed an offer though and they both passed the approval process, wtf?

THIS, ladies and gents, is how you identify a scammer. There are several key points to look out for:

1) CAG Join Date: May 2006? I bet this dude signed up *just* to post this link in this thread. I haven't done so, but I'm sure checking for other posts this person's made will show nothing other than this.

2) The boilerplate writing. How generic could this person be? This shit reads like a spam message: "this site allows you to get a free playstation 3." Well, no shit. We have 1500 posts, in this thread alone, of people dealing with sites like these. You are the first person to discover FreePay in much the same way that Columbus was the first to discover America: you weren't.

3) Another aspect of his post's cardboard-like generic-ness: the poster just isn't reading this thread at all. They didn't pay any attention to the conversation, to who is offering what, to anything at all. They just laid their generic-ass whore post like a turd on the floor, and expect people to sign up under them. Chances are this dude has done the very same thing at a dozen other sites, with mized results.

4) They haven't read the thread since they seem to be asking for referrals in good faith, rather than offering anything in trade. How fucking dumb do you think people are? The going rate for a referral is $15 and up, usually more. You look like a fucking panhandler. If you want referrals, you gotta offer something in return. Don't act like that's a surprise.

So, those are some of the telltale signs, IMO, of someone who is going to scam you. If this shitneck PMs you looking for offers (which I suspect they will), MAKE THEM GO GREEN FIRST. Thank you, and have a nice day.

That's not what I'm saying at all, since he wasn't even seeking trades. What I was saying is that this cat doesn't know the freebie scene, or he's totally lying about it. Either way, I take offense to people taking a dump in this thread without reading it. If you don't know how things work here, read the thread. It may be 80 pages, but any one page should satisfy your thirst for knowledge.

If you already knew that people buy and trade referrals, well, then you're being dishonest for acting so naive. I'll assume that you truly don't know what you're doing. Make an offer to trade for others' referrals, and make an offer to sell your greens ($15 is the going rate, and even I'm not having much luck with that). Since you are brand new here, don't be surprised if you're doing referrals first for others, or if you're asked to pay first. There are few people who have decent trader ratings who are scammers, so there's no need to worry. Good luck with ya'.

People like you, no offense or anything, are the ones that make it hard for people to finish these sites.
Everyone wants something in return. It completely defeats the purpose of getting something for free.

I mean, you already get charged to do an offer then you have to pay 5 or so people $30 to do an offer. The total sometimes reaches the price of the prize. Thats no fun, especially since you have to wait weeks/months to get what you want.

That's just my opinion.

It's a valid one, too. I don't mind paying someone a few bucks for their troubles, especially when it doesn't cost them anything. If it's $10 for each referral (5), I'll even pay that. But over that, and why do it? I'll get my family to do it and save my money.

Can anyone do an emergency sign up for one of the links in my sig? I need one more for either the Ipod or PSP (I desperately need a signup for the Ipod). I only have until May 30 to get the offer complete, so I need someone to sign up for an offer that credits instantly or in 1-2 days. I can pay for the offer depending on what it is just to get the credit done, and pay for your time.

I also have games in my tradelist to offer. If anyone can do this and quickly post or PM me and I'll be checking back often. I'm pretty desperate to get the Ipod one done though.

Update: There is a no credit card offer available RIGHT NOW. This is extremely rare for Freepay sites to offer, so get in now if you can. The last one they offered was ebay and its been several months since they've done that.

i can do your psps if you can do my digitalcamera on freepay, or ps34free, or lcds.free4me.net, or flashipods4free.... but I do prefer the digital cam, because I am so close to completion.
