Official Goozex Thread - Goozex is Hiring!

Goozex has been declining at a rapid rate. It's sad, as this has been a primary way of getting games for a few years.

Guess I'll focus more on CAG trading forums.

I received 5 games in Oct. and Nov. (which is good IMO).

It ebbs and flows, nothing to be done about that, that's just how it is.

Just cashed out my last 100 points (will have 50 pts and 16 trades left...ouch) on a Bridge Too Far. Somewhat fitting, but it is a shame Goozex is going downhill. They're almost under 2000 active trades now. I think before that price increase took place it was 3200+.

I hate to see people "cashing out" since it dries up the trading pool for everyone else. I guess people gonna do what they gonna do, but it sucks to see it happen. Especially when users are leaving points and/or tokens on the table when they bail.

Can Goozex do anything to bring itself back to the glory days of old?

Call me crazy but im actually getting back into goozex for the first time in awhile. Im making a few flips and seeing where it takes me. Im tired of getting weekly emails informing me of all trades Ive missed out on lol. I still have 60 cent tokens left xD

Selling points wasn't a good idea.

Doubling tokens wasn't a good idea.

Both were done because the site was hurting. They won't go back to the glory days. Those are long gone. All they hope is someone scoops them up.

I just randomly had 500 points deposited into my account. o_O

I had 350 yesterday, sent off SSFIV Arcade Edition yesterday morning which is worth 900, and I have 850 now. That's the only activity I have going on, so I have zero idea as to where these points came from. I'm not complaining by any means, it's just really weird.

Am I missing something?

Click on the "Account History" button and you can work backwards from your current total.

I'm trying to cash out. I have 6000 points left. I think I'll just wait until I get some trades and then sell the games on amazon or ebay and be done with goozex.
That gets me nowhere. It just says I randomly have 400 points pending. I just have one game out, which is worth 900. It's almost as if they advanced me the other 500 points.
Got me, then...
Got me, then...
I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens when I receive the feedback for my current trade. If I get the 400 points that it says I have pending, then it's pretty much that they sent me 500 in advance. If I get the full 900 and STILL have 400 pending, then I don't know what happened.

No reason to cash out. It has slowed, but I'm still doing alright. I'm just keeping less in the bank is all.

Compared to the idiots whom been saying doom and gloom since this thread open. Many of us using it well before. I can't really get a better deal on console titles than Goozex. If it goes under, I lose some 20$ in points and tokens. Compared to the thousands I've saved. So far, its nearing 4 years since I started(Some 175games sent and 250 received)

Goozex added an 'instant points' feature a few months ago, which gives you points in advance upon confirmed shipping based on your feedback score. The higher your feedback, the more points you can get in advance.

Only works so long as you have a positive feedback history. If you get a negative, I don't believe you're eligible for 'instant points' for 6 months, maybe longer.

Don't you only get that if you use Goozex shipping though? I use PayPal shipping.

So I got the other 400 points. It seems they randomly decided to advance me 500/900 points. I didn't use Goozex shipping either, so I don't know why they decided to do this.

Wow... under 2000 trades? fuck, I've got 5000 points and 10 tokens left.

I think it's safe to say Goozex is dead. They should have listened to their members earlier, rather than wait until things were dying. I was afraid of something like this happened so I hesitated joining/using Goozex for a while but as people kept praising it, I figured I'd try it. It worked out well for a short bit but I wish I hadn't given in...

I just got 5 games the past two weeks. Anecdotal, sure, but I don't know that it's dead. That being said, I'm keep much less points active in my account at any one time now.

I guess dead might be too strong of a word... on life support is what I should have said.

Seriously though, I can't even get unpopular games anymore.

I actually just got matched up for 2 games over the weekend after a long drought. That said, I definitely am trying to keep the amount of points in my account significantly lower than I have in the past.

I suppose it's actually okay that I have to wait as long as I have been for some of the games on my list. I'm trying to finish Enslaved, Oblivion and New Vegas, plus I have a crap-ton of Rock Band songs to play.

I really want Shadows of the Damned and Kinect Sports, though...

Doing OK here - got Gears 3, NBA 2K12, Fifa 12 and Rage in the past month. Wasn't a member during the glory days, but can't complain about picking up a few solid titles recently.

Got tired of waiting for Dark Souls, though - got matched up once, seller requested a trade cancellation, and a lot of folks On Hold and Restricted went Active, pushing me further and further back. Picked that one up for real cash, along with El Shaddai, which has only moved 2 copies since release. May end up buying Dead Island, too, but Arkham City and BF3 will come from Goozex at the rate it's moving.

bummer, was about to get batman AC and the guy just let the 24 hours go without doing anything :/ , at least cancel the trade so i can get my points back quicker.

Yeah, I expect a slight boost in trades this time of year.

Me, I should be getting Lego Pirates of the Caribbean soon. Only 4th in line for Skyrim, but I'll likely end up canceling that one, as I just got it for my husband on Steam. If it works well on my computer, I'll just play it through Steam.
How many oz is a PS2 game in a bubble wrap?
You can go to a USPS location and use their self service kiosk to verify, but I usually put 5 oz and I've never had trouble. It can depend on the mailer though-- some are lighter than others.

I bought a plastic food scale at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5 minus one of those ubiquitous blue 20% coupons and I use it all the time for Goozex mailings.

I have been noticing a few more blus and newer games being traded, complete too! Did anyone else notice that influx of B-list Blu-rays the other day? There were like 20 random titles all the same time, most of which I've never heard of.

I'm bummed. The last 3 or 4 trades I've got, the seller doesn't respond in the allotted time.

Holy crap.

I go from having barely any trades within the past couple months to currently being matched into 15 of my requests. Knocked my points from 17,000 to 9,850.

Don't really know what is causing this surge of trading but whatever it is I hope this continues.

Yeah I saw this on yahoo, is this really legit? Like NHL 11 is 500 and NBA 2k11 is 650 with Skyrim being 1000? That sounds too good to be true

It's all based on supply and demand more so than retail prices. They also don't take into account sales or promotions or anything like this. I've traded $10 games for the same 1,000 points that can get you Skyrim or another big release.

Active Trades is up to 2,693. That's the highest I've seen it in months. I just got my first tip. :)
