Today was the first day I played online...I was pretty confused at first. It took me a few games to figure out what assault was and what I was supposed to be doing in it. Then seeing all the new maps for the first time. I usually only played slayer and team slayer on Halo MP so I have to get used to CTF, oddball, and all the new games. It was fun though.
 
I seem to be having problems. It started with Xbox.com. When I signed into My Live, It would say I have no Live friends in my list although quite a few of them were different CAGers. Now when I sign into Bungie's website to check the clan stats, It has nothing. No games played, no wins, no levels, nothing! Anybody else experience this??

Edit: I used the link off of the OP instead of the saved link I had. It allowed me to access the group home page. However it won't let me access anything. It keeps asking me to join this group. I clicked on join this group. It says I need to be approved. I already thought I was?!? Anybody have ideas? ....

yeah, a know a couple people who are having problems like this, i'd say just ride em out, as bungie is doing their best to handle the high volume of traffic in their game/website/everything. it might take a while but they'll be up.

you're on the list. match make and practice all you want, but i'd like to hold off on the actual clan matches for the most part until everyone participating is comfortable with everything. though i will be pulling specific people who perform and lead well for clan matches, as i've said, so i'll keep you in mind.

Kinda getting very odd it seems your pushing the people who you dont play with much and don't have a lot of "skills" aside. if your gonna do it that way split the clan into 2 clans and let everyone have fun. I am sure some people feel neglected due to the fact people are hand picked for clan matches. This whole thing is about fun, winning is great too but try to include the rest of the people in the clan. I personally have not played in a clan match and dont really care but others might.

it's tough to manage a 100-person clan where everyone wants something different, but i'm doing my best. i can't stop you guys from playing clan matches, i was just suggesting we hold off and practice together a lot (that includes me) until everyone at least knew the basics of all the maps, modes and controls. do what you like though. in the mean time, the more competitive people would be rewarded by getting recruited to play in clan matches. from my experience people just in it for the fun prefer to play casually (read: unranked) with everyone else anyhow. i could be wrong. i've done a lot of work thus far to get everyone playing together and in the clan, and i don't think splitting it up will benefit anyone at this point. as i've said, once the clan is full and everyone is signed up in the right places and participating, things will become more organized. in the mean time, cut me some slack. keep the comments coming though, feedback helps.
 
I swear there was a site with all the maps of these online video game shooters. It was featured in one of the last year's EGMs. I will search for it and post when found
 
so we're full, for now. everyone who was sent an invite but hasn't accepted yet will be taken off the list later tonight so we'll have a few more openings (7). only about 50 people are signed up for our bungie.net group though, so the rest of you, check it out.

And it should be. I don't get why people need to use a different user name on all the different boards/account/whatevers pick one you like and stick with it.

It was called www.tacticalwhiteboard.com , but it appears to be defunct as of now. it was an interesting little flash application that you could "draw" on and send the flash to clanmates to organize strategies. It was mostly for tactical/military-styled games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, SOCOM, etc. The map features on bungie.net are more than I'll ever need though.

UPDATE: Here is the site as it appeared on it's last update in January '04. Godbless the Internet Wayback Machine. :wink:
 
I need an invite back into the clan if possible because a friend of mine needed a sub for a few clan matches last night. So I had to join his clan and leave this one for a little bit. Sorry to screw things up.

About the CAG names and XBL names matching, I had an sj41 account for 5 months but decided that the name was lame so I made a new one. That way, I got a name that I liked more, an extra 2 months of XBL free, and fresh stats on games that I used to be really bad at. It worked out for me but since the name "waffles 'n' syrup" was too long, I had to choose "STICKY WAFFLES". Still a cool name.

I'm sending the PMs now to the people that haven't accepted the invites to our clan now. Didn't have time to do it earlier, so sorry that I'm late to it.

I was wondering why I saw a different clan tag by your name tonite! I thought you had abandoned us. :cry: :wink:

yeah those Sturn Furher games were pretty good, sucked that my team couldn't pull it together, oh well you fight, you lose, you fight again.
 
Yeah I will be on tonight also around 5:30 est for a couple hours, I gotta watch my Cowboys get killed by the Eagles tonight.

the member list has been revised. anyone who never accepted the invite is off of the list, and has been put on a waiting list in case they ever wish to reapply.

btw, that war of attrition ctf match on coagulation earlier with you guys was great.

my favorite part was grabbing the sniper rifle and flying the banshee up high near the other team's base on offense, then hopping out onto some cliffs and sniping down. cheapy d and some other dude tried to stop me from a warthog down below, but i got cheapy right between the eyes. when i finally jumped down there were like five people waiting for me, and i was promptly slaughtered.

Yeah that game was great. It was the longest game i have ever played.

And i was the guy who had the brute grenade launcher and i still couldn't hit you when you up there. So after i saw Cheap got popped i ran like a girl.
 
So far I have really enjoyed playing games against all the fellow CAG users, it's been a blast. I hope it's not to much of a problem, but I don't have any kind of communicator for the Xbox yet so forming team strategies is a bit difficult, but I intend to pick one up soon (the huge sale on DeepDiscountDvd has sucked my bank account nearly dry). Any suggestions?

Hey fizzgig, I got into some action with you earlier tonight at a friend's house. I was levitation homz's guest. I enjoyed the match, but the lag was getting ridiculous so we stepped out.
 
Alright. My cable modem appears to have had a stable connection for 24 hours.

The fragging shall commence tomorrow!

..right after my dose of Half-Life 2 :D
 
Ahh so many releases so little time.. I will be on tonight after I build this new entertainment center my gf bought last night, she kept me out till 12:30am last night getting it so I got no gaming in, see you all tonight.
