[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Yeah, I've played Rock Revo with a guitar and it's not nearly as bad as people made it out to be. The songs are all covers and some are spot on while some are noticeable. To me it was fun enough for $5 for sure. It's like more GH with a few variations on gameplay like poison notes and the like. Just don't expect to get all of the achievements as many of them require beating the songs on expert which seems physically impossible to me because of the brutality of the speed and the straight up and down note path which doesn't allow as much time to set yourself up as RB and GH. I was curious about how hard that would be so I looked on an achievements site and the highest total for RR was 620 or so. Everyone else was in the mid500s. I think that guy is a CAG, Liquidflame.

My 2+ year old 27" Olevia is the same--speakers on the sides, a lot of ghosting, and the remote control is marginal at best. Overall, it's not a bad TV for the price and it hasn't scared me away from the Olevia brand.

You can find the upc# typically on a sticker in one of the corners of the tv's(usually bottom left or right), although sometimes it's on the SIDE of the tv.

Oh and btt I got that 'it's the marked price' crap last night at my closest store. The kid working electronics acted like 80-90% of the Kmart employees I've encountered since I started hunting for clearance deals. He acted like he didn't want to be there.

Because printing out UPCs to have employees themsleves scan is sorta... meh. Find a price checker somewhere and scan them yourself.

Sigh, bad timing for me. Seems like my local Kmart has been hit hard, the half dozen Rock Revolutions have been bought up, one lonely beat up box left. The GHIII 360 that I was waiting to drop...probably did and got bought up, along with much of the PS2 and PS3 stock as well. And the half dozen intercoolers were gone too, although I wasnt going to get those.

Somebody walks in the store with printed off UPCs asking them to be scanned. The average person doesn't even know you can print of a UPC like that. Doesn't you KMart have a selfscanner anywhere? If nothing else, pick an item you're not interested in and have it scanned to buy it (like an intercooler). If it's cheap, but not cheap enough from this drop then you haven't alerted anyone and say, "Oops, forgot my wallet" throw a handful of glitter and run. If it is cheap enough then say you want what you really want and change your mind on the other item.

Also didn't see the TV : ( was really sad about that


I would offer to grab some for people in CAG but i would charge u shipping which im guessing wouldn't be cheap for most of that stuff, and would defeat the purpose of it being a deal

I wouldn't get too worked up over it. The average joe that doesn't have a good sense of how much this stuff is really worth usually has an inflated sense of how much you can make selling most of the stuff that goes on clearance. I can't imagine that your store was a goldmine loaded with worthwhile 1.99 games as my store hasen't had any of these (good) games since they were about $19.99 or just under

Here's two examples of a heavy handed hoarder in my area that I'll see selling games from Target on clearance pretty regularly. My target had a ton of copies of The Simpsons Game for PS2 at $5, I didn't even buy one for myself to play but the local hoarder bought about a dozen of them and sold them all starting at .99 with free shipping, probably made just over $5 at best on a copy and even lost money on 2-3 of them. I saw this same guy selling about 6 copies of FEAR 2 on the 360 made about $3-5 per which is no big deal IMO since it's about $3-5 of work for each of them for about $13 invested per a game.

Are the Wii GH bundles on clearance as well. Sometimes Wii versions don't drop as quickly as others.

I'm not against it....
I see it as this, one person may make a decent profit 5-10 possibly more.............
but at the same time the person who buys it is also getting a good deal on something that they probably wouldnt get if they brought the full retail version somewhere else anyway.

say i buy Fear 2 for 10 dollars
i sell it for 20

that person just brought fear 2 for 20 dollars when they woulda went to Gamestop or something and paid 34 for it used 40 new!

so its a win win win, and basically the way businesses are ran

true, but not if your a CAG and could get the game at clearance price if the hoarder had not hoarded them all.

How about you make your own list? It's really not that hard. Write down the games you're interested in on a a sheet of paper and go to the store.

Hm, went to another Kmart that I learned is relatively near me. It was odd that some of the things were reduced to the prices stated here, while others were a bit more.

Picked up GH: Aerosmith bundle (PS2) and Metal Slug 7 (DS), but at listed price.

But other things were different, American Idol Encore 2 (PS3) was $37, Rock Revolution Bundle (PS3 and Xbox360) were $8, Rock Band SE (PS3) was $40, as well as several other things that I wasn't interested.

No Olevia TV or Zelda DS bundles though.

I got it at $10.xx because I needed a new mic. It's great quality as the PS3 recognizes it as a Logitech.

I used to hit that Kmart when I worked at the Southfield TownCentre a few years back..I found multiple copies of Metal Gear Twin Snakes Gamecube and they refused to sell them to me for a Penny. Strangely..hoping to get another employee a few days later, they were all gone.

I was at a K-Mart this morning and they were scanning a bunch of clearance stuff throughout the store. So I went back later and they seemed to be done, but none of the new prices were in effect.

In that case, you should just ask the employees to price check the items in the case, its a much safer route than asking them to scan your UPCs.
