[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

So I tell her maybe you should do your ing job of watching the cameras and not putting ing stickers on shit so you can catch your damn shoplifters, I know the dude that stickered all these. Yep, my buddy used to work for Sears, when they used to have a PC department. Some woman came in claiming her boxed PC didn't come with a bunch of cables. Instead of waiting for someone to help her/confirm her purchase/etc, she grabbed a set off of a demo PC, stuffed them in her purse and walked out. My buddy called security and two days later was fired for his actions.

The woman didn't want to cooperate and took it upon herself to take what she claimed was missing (they didn't even see a receipt from her 'purchase'). He even followed protocol and still lost his job because the woman complained about being treated like a thief.

GMooJ, I'd file a complaint with either the manager or go higher up on the food chain. Did your mom witness this as well? The more witness, the better.

BTW - As I've said before, so everyone knows, the Kmart this happened at is a dump and perpetuates the stereotyped image Kmart has. I've been there a few times when I worked in Lockport, years ago.

It doesn't really shock me. Lockport is right next to Joliet, which can be a rough area (depending on where at), and you'd get alot of the 'bad' element drifting over.

I picked up several of those gamer remotes to flip afew weeks ago, I tested on eout, it turns on everything buy my TV...I'm gonna trade it in this week.

I also found some PS2 power bricks at a local store for $4, 3 pack UMD cases's $1.50, PSP charge pack $1.50, PSP cloth case $1.50, afew more that i can't remember. Today i saw alot more clearance price stickers, i need to check i tout further, but "the looter" may be back before i get there.

I went to a K-Mart today. I was thinknig about buying Viewtiful Joe 2 for $10, but I never finished the first one. They had the first VJ for $3. It was in a locker and had a sticker saying $3 and still no one wanted it.

I made the mistake of doing that once... and now, my 3 hot spots (Kmart, this one sorta out there EB Games, CircuitCity) are always cleaned out.

Wow im going to have to hit up Kmart and check the copies of .Hack there seeing they have a 50/50 chance of being marked down.

I would of taken that VJ for $3 seeing my copy is form GS and it has no book and the insert is all messed up. Was it the PS2 or GC version?

I thought of that afterwards but the store is in a bad location and really just wanted to get the hell out of there. There were three or four white trash dorks "working" in the electronics section, aka standing around doing nothing, when the front cashiers only had 2 people working and long lines.

But yeah I really should have bought VJ 1 and 2 (Gamecube) for $13. I was kind of pissed no of paying $6 more 2 weeks ago for the game. That would be enough for 1.5 gallons of gas!

I forget, you can use the add-on to play the 360 games instead of using the actual CD/DVD drive on the 360, right? I ask because I'm contemplating getting a 360 and copies of Crackdown and GTAIV(when it comes out), but if you can use the add on without having to strain the 360's main laser, I'd just use that and keep rebuying them when they get cheaper for 'spares'.

the addon can only play HD-DVD's and DVD's with 360. put anything else into it, you will get an error.

Well, I figured that 360 games are on DVDs, so I thought maybe you could use it as a backup drive to read games with. If not, then I'd probably only get one to use with my PC via USB.

I feel lucky. The K-Mart I shop at has a really awesome employee that manages the electronics section. I went in to check out the clearance games, they were all tagged properly. (I didn't find what I was looking for)

He was the same guy I bought my PS3 off of. I had a 10% off coupon printed from the internet, printed from a SCAN and not even an email. He didn't question me one bit. He scanned the coupon, made a few jokes with me about the 80gb and the 40gb (I was in the store for like 15 minutes trying to decide which to get) and that was it. I asked about the service plan and bought it, but only because I don't want to be that ONE 3-5% guy that has it happen to me and gets screwed over.

He even offered to open up the lock-ups and check all the games in the lock up to see if they were on clearance or not, but he assured me he does the new scans every day and that if the game I wanted was on clearance, he would've tagged it and threw it in the gold racks.

snagged an extra 360 hd-dvd drive today for $37 to sit next to the one i bought for $120. oh well. a gamecube also showed up from the depths of the backroom and scanned $50. i would of snagged it at $20.

And unfortunately, someone nabbed the mismarked Hulk: Ultimate Destruction(PS2). It was marked $10, but came up $39.99 when scanned.

I did, however, grab the following:

It's actually one of the front lane versions, with the upc sticker OVER the original UPC. It was marked $8.

I also noticed Genji and Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom for PS3, marked $25 and $20 respectively. They had 2-3 copies of Genji, but only ONE Dark Kingdom.

If any of you need a new digital camera, definitely check your local Kmarts, since most of the case at the Kmart here was on clearance. The prices weren't too phenomenal and unfortunately they were all clearly marked(meaning they'll be long gone before they hit a good price).

Definitely not rare in Central Jersey. Every store has about 20 of them. Definitely needs a price drop

The ipod shuffle is now $50 everywhere so I think its a price drop and not a clearance item. Kmart just screw up and mark them as clearance.

I live around Northeastern PA and it's like we are worlds apart. I think all of the stores around here are sold out of Zelda TP on the Cube. Might still be a store or two that still has 1 or 2 copies still. I didn't think any stores would have that many copies at this point, I would have guessed a handful at all/most stores in better areas. I don't even think any stores around me had 20ish copies even when TP came out for the cube lol
