[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

There is an older lady, 50'sish that runs a local game/movie trade store that checks CAG to make sure a certain guy(I think its that fat guy that was mentioned earlier tonight) dosent rip her off any more. He was buying for dirt cheap and then getting 3x-4x cash back from her and the stuff wasnt selling...
 
Went to my Kmart that I always score at and at first couldn't find anything. I walked down the DVD isle and there were about 30 games. I picked up some older xbox games for $1.50, older sports games, all marked with this price, and Monster Bomber for the DS for $1.50.
 
Saw about 7-8 of those EZ 101 and like 5-6 of those EZ105 at one of the kmart i visited yesterday. Still waiting on Eternal Sonata to go clearance T.T

Does anyone know if the Live Vision Gold expired card for a year of xbox live still works? My store has one but I dont want to buy it if it doesnt work.
 
it does work even though the day on it is expired. I tried using one of the arcade card that has expiration day of 2007 and it worked just fine.

Some friendly advice - a little makeup and hair color will make you look years younger. It really helped me.
 
Everything I've ever done has been to extremes -- if I wear makeup, I'm wearing the leather and fishnets to go with it. I don't think I'd look "years younger," but I definately think I'd be more appealing to all of the badge wearing people..

My Kmart is the worst, they had a bunch of clearance games, but they said in order to get the deal for $2, $3, $4, you have to get their Sears Credit Card.
I don't even think that is legal to force that, otherwise they charge the sticker.

So irritating.

Man, are you correct on that one. The game section is a mess, you can't see half the games they try and sell, and if you ask anyone about anything, it's "Uhhh... I don't think we have it" It's a damn shame. Only good thing from them was the one on Hwy40 had a xbox live vision kit for 8 bucks

What the hell? No way can they require you to get a Sears card to purchase their clearance items. That's bullshit, and they know it. They're trying to drum up credit card applications because the tycoon who owns the place isn't rich enough yet. I would have called them on it right there, pulled out my cell, and phoned the corporate office.

I can't stand it when corporations say "you have to have one of our store cards.." when, in fact, you don't. My local BB used to do this. "The price is 4 for $20." "Okay, I'll take it." "Do you have our membership card?" "No." "Then they're just sticker price then, the deal doesn't apply to you.."

In theory, that would qualify as a form of discrimination -- a lawsuit.

A membership card is different from credit card. A membership card is free. Its just a marketing tactic to make people thinking they are saving money by shopping at that store and using that card.

I think it is okay to require a membership card for special prices since the card is usually free.

This is correct. Most membership cards also track your spending/buying patterns and it used as market research. The data is supposed to be anonymous, so they do not use your actual name, etc. Stores can get away with it because consumers opt in when they sign up for the membership.
 
You guys missed my point -- I didn't mean membership card, I meant credit card. Requiring somebody to have a CC when it's available to everybody at regular price is discrimination, on top of being flat out uncalled for. Stores are ranked by how many credit applications/approvals they get per week. The higher the numbers, the bigger the budget. I could give a rat's ass about an Albertson's Preferred Card, because everybody can get one of those regardless of who you are. Now, if they did credit checks for a membership card, that would be something else entirely..

I went in search of Splinter Cell: Double Agent (360) for $10 and they had the Electronics section blocked off with pallets of charcoal. It's usually open this time of night, except for tonight. :|

You can have my two that I have remaining, as long as you don't mind a supposed failure rate that was as high as the purported 360 failure rate for a while(30%+).

I shipped out one to a fellow CAG as part of a deal and figured 'eh its new/sealed, it should be ok' and it was DOA. So yeah, you really DON'T need to be taking a chance with the crummy HD-DVD drives. They're NOT good trade fodder unless you're only paying $5-6 each and you work someplace with a readily available postage machine you can exploit cause you'll be doing ALOT of return shipping on them. ;):lol:

that doesn't always work. One time i was trying to buy the drive up front at customer service and the lady scanned it and was like wow thats a great dead, and i started to get nervous but then she kept going. Then a lameass lady manager walked up and said "that scanned for how much?" and said it was a mistake, walked into the back, and when the lady rescanned it 3 minutes later it rang up at 49.99. the manager actually went in back and changed the instore price
 
When I put in my time at BB, we were doing a MasterCard promotion -- the more people who paid by MC the better our ranking. My boss used to tell people that: "The 4/20 deal only applies if you're paying by MasterCard..."

eh what was i gonna do? i didn't have proof (well i did but didn't really) i just bought it and did a return/rebuy down at the other kmart. i know a little more trouble but the lady that was ringing me up was cool and i didn't wanna make a huge fuss

That is CRAZY. Geez, who do they even think is going to want that drive for $50? External Blu Ray drives are only about $150, and that HD-DVD drive isn't much more useful than adding a random second DVD drive to the 360.

Oooh, and to the guy who bought Nights...you were really ripped off. No way is that thing worth $20. They'd have been better off just releasing the original. Oh well, at least you didn't pay full price like I did :hot:

Yeah. Call the corporate. It's steadily been on clearance for ages, and at all Kmarts. Call the corp and tell them the store manager changed the price in system on you AFTER it's been rung up for $6. Tell them that you felt you been discriminated somehow.

One of the Ocala stores used to have a decent number of things. The Bellevue one never had anything (I think).
 
Found a Halo Headset for 6 at the Statesboro K-Mart. Debating on whether to sell or trade this as i don't do online.

Electronics person also said one cleaned them out the other day with a list of which games were on clearance for cheap.

Went to Kmart today, I saw a BUNCH of games that I know were on clearance, but were likely pennied out. I picked up Dark Kingdom, and contact, and kim possible for my daughter.

Of course none of them rang up, well the DS games scanned 1 penny, and the lady was looking perplexed. She told me dark kingdom was 49.99...I was like WTF!?? It was obvious she was pulling that one outta her behind. I calmly and politely told her about those games being clearanced for 5 bucks not that long ago. I asked to speak with a manager...not really because I wanted the games for me, but I wanted kim possible for my daughter, and if I could get it for 5 bucks that would have been cool.

For what ever reason, she opted to not call the manager, and just charged me 5 bucks for dark kingdom, and 1 cent each for kim possible and contact..aint that some poop!???


While that was cool, I thought about the other 15-20 games that I know were pennied out. I decided to not press my luck and left them though. It seems when the games are out of the system, the employees can arbitrarily charge you whatever they feel like charging.

At the second Kmart I was going to pick up rainbow islands and meet the robinsons, they were both marked 15 bucks, but didnt ring up. The guy said he would give me 50% off the marked price..then called someone and said "no its the marked price" I left the games there.

lesson of the day..get the games before they go outta the system, because YMWV otherwise. Starting to get tired of feeling like I'm involved in a shady drug deal just to get a cheap game too.


seems I was REALLY lucky in getting that kim possible, because it was tagged at 29.99. 99% when they get that error, they will just charge the whats on the pricetag

I'm out in Fort McCoy, just for the summer with my family. I'm usually up in school at NYU. Target has some good finds now and then, but that's about it. It's usually not worth the $5-$10 in gas to get into town.

If Dark Kingdom is out of the the system now then there was another price drop. That would mean almost everything in the OP list is now out of the system
