[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Yep, one KMart I went to today still had the old prices in the system (Metal Slug 7 for $15). The other one I went to had the price drops in effect, but everything I was looking for wasn't in stock.

Anyone know the quality of the wireless Wii nunchuck? Just got a Wii and could use another nunchuck or two if I could find them. I ask cause I doubt they'd get sold as a penny.

Also, any opinions on the Rock band drum set? Seems tempting, but I'm new to RB/GH and don't know all the pros and cons although I know GHWT's are wireless which may make it worth it to wait for a deal on those instead.
 
The one bad thing about the Rockband drum set is the kick pedal is horrible. Mine broke in less than 6 weeks. There is a 60 day warranty from EA so save your receipt if you buy it. Otherwise it is ok.

I think your CAG vet title needs to be stripped away! Not only did someone ask the same question about price changes 10 posts up, this info is clearly on the FIRST post of this thread.

Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

The PLC lead, or store manager just has to activate each department. They dont have to activate each item individually. One thing though, once the department in question is activated, I can no longer see what was discounted. That sucks.

I doubt every store has the Memory Card. If you see it, I would get it. My Kmart has never gotten a memory card or 360 HDD's.

plus a couple other games with yellow tags around 15.00.....

sucks for me cause i just bought fifa 08 for 30 from target across the street.....time to dig up that reciept...

Question for Kaydigi: How does the return/rebuy policy work and are all KMARTS suppose to handle it the same way? One KMART store gave me the lower price of the game in the form of a refund on the spot. I just had to show my receipt. . Another store said they would refund my money but I would have to wait until the games were returned to inventory (put back in the glass cases) then buy them at the lower price. The problem with that is they couldn't tell me when the games would be available for purchase so I would have to keep checking back with them. It seems to me they all should handle return/rebuy the same way. The policy on the back of my store receipt says "Price adjustment will be given within 7 days from purchase date if a receipt is shown". How strict are the stores about the 7 day policy?

Can you post the upc number for the eye of judgement bundle. I tried finding it at the database site but it was not showing up.
 
picked up american idol encore 2 bundle for 20 bucks. i saw both ps3 and 360 versions. also, ps3 hdmi + usb cables down to 8 bucks from 80. sweet deal. also, webcams if anyone is interested Hue HD webcams - 2 bucks.

For the most part it's suppose to be this way, to be on the safe side I would bring the entire item back to the store for a return and rebuy on the spot. You do not have to wait for the item to go back to inventory to rebuy. (That's that Target sh*t).

I would call for a store manager or a salaried manager. If you do not want to make a scene contact Sears/Kmart Corporate and fire off a scathing email. I would complain about having to waste time just to shop at your store (etc....) it should correct that stores policy quickly. The store manager receives copies of those emails you guys send.
 
it was fifa 08 from both stores... 09 is still 50.00

dont know the difference from 08 to 09 and dont want to know.... it'll probably piss me off i didnt spend the extra 20 for 09

Thanks Kaydigi! But how strict are the stores about observing the 7 day limit for return/rebuy?
 
Just knabbed PSP version of Parappa the Rapper for 2.99 at my local K-Mart. Had it on PS1 but at that price had to get this! Also got a Nyko PS3 usb adapter for 4 bucks(Originally 20, god knows why?)

I nabbed a couple of them at $16. I was hoping the remaining ones would last until the next drop so I could buy them at the cheaper price and return the others but they disappeared well before this latest drop.

Just a heads up, putting in the UPC for the nunchuck on amazon(and google to make sure) shows that it is not a wireless nunchuck. It lets you use a nunchuck you already have without having a wire between the nunchuck and wiimote.

I think it's hardcorded. It will block a return if it's past the date. I will find out tomorrow.

:ds: Nintendo DS Lite / Zelda bundle. None in stock (that I could find) but it scanned at $105.00

:360: 512 memory unit scanned at $40.00 but there weren't any in stock.

iPod - Both Nano UPC's scanned at $20.00 but they were all out of stock of all types of iPods.

:wii: "wireless" nunchuck (UPC 656777004866) scanned at "Check Shelf Price" and it was listed as $29.99. I verified the UPC on the packaging. It was indeed a wireless version by "Wide Play".

TV - Sylvania 26" LC260SS8 was not in stock but it did scan at $53.00. :( $53 would have been nice.

Oh, well. I checked a few other :360: games that were $5.99 and some at regular price again but none were in stock. Basically a wasted trip... this time.

I basically had to argue with the lady to take the first two out of the case and scan them, kept insisting it was the sticker price and saying "Well I'll be SHOCKED if these ring up $5..." and sure enough, they did. And of course she didn't apologize for being rude about it. :roll:

I work in Lebanon, and I rarely check K-mart, but I did yesterday (it was only the second time I've been to that store), and there was nothing good. I could have saved you the trip.
 
Hmm, Metal Slug is 10.00 eh? My local store only had one at 15.00 last week, I need to check and see if it dropped.

Also, the cereal deal was awesome. I bought ten boxes for 13.00-- and what was cool was some of the cereal still had that old credit card promo where a box could have anywhere from a 5.00-25.00 credit card gift card thing in it. Of course, like a little kid, I ripped open every box and found one of them had a 5.00 card. So basically 10 boxes of cereal for 8.00. Not bad at all.

Thanks, I've been meaning to do that, but hadn't gotten around to yet. Probably cause i kinda figured I wouldn't find one at this point anyway, but it's useful to know what it really was.
 
Oh wow, I actually saw one of those wireless nunchuk things at Gamecrazy the other day. And instantly I thought "Wow, this looks like a complete waste."

Well, I returned some stuff I had sitting around and decided I didn't want any more (and it was worthless as trade fodder). I also got them to adjust my Eye of Judgement from $20 to $15. As usual, they told me they aren't supposed to do that (even with a return/repurchase) but they did it anyway ;).

I also picked up DDR Universe 3 for $25 but I'm not sure why. I'll probably end up returning that later too, but just out of habit I'll keep it in a bag in my office for 2 1/2 months first.

Oh yeah, and they had 2 copies each of the 360/PS3 Rock Revolution bundles clearly marked at $35. It's kind of sad, but I have a feeling they will sit there for a while. Maybe if they drop again I'll get one ;). But really, I can't see paying much of anything for it because I sure as hell don't need more plastic instruments in the house. I want to get rid of some of the ones I have as it is. I probably would have gotten one of these about 3-4 months ago at that price, but not now.

Because you said this, and because I felt that when I bought them, I absolutely *would not* have any of the gift cards, I decided, as you did, to rip open the remaining 8 boxes of cereal like a little kid. To my *great* surprise and delight, *2* of the boxes contained $5 gift cards, making my total cost $3 for 10 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios.

Super Score! I'd have been plenty happy at $13 for the 10! Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah, I work in Lebanon too and this store is horrid for any type of clearance deals. I think I've only been able to grab 1 or 2 games at a decent price... and that was over a year ago. Definately not worth making a special trip.
