[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Guitar Hero "World Tour" Band set on clearance at my K-Mart. Thing was, It looked like the box had been thrown down one hundred flights of stairs.

They packaged the beans out of that band set. You should be ok. The bigger question is was it a launch set--they shipped with known problems on the drum pads. I think there are how-to instructions on ways to fix it yourself though.

For the PS2 or the 360? I ask because I picked up RR for the PS2 about 2-3 years ago from Kmart for $2 or so. The 360 version was also on clearance, but I think that may be out of the system as well by now.
 
Brownsburg, IN - picked up a lone Star Ocean for the 360 for 19.97 - glad I never picked it up at MSRP when it came out. Not much else there but my $5 coupon from signing up for Kmart updates made it all feel that much better.

West Washington St. , Indianapolis IN - they had Star Ocean unmarked in the case so if you are in the area, feel free to have them scan, they still had some FFVI Advance for the GBA but they were 29.99 - wish these would drop already. They also still have GC Twilight Princess for 49.99 and Warioware Smooth Moves (Wii) for 49.99 - wish those would have been a bit cheaper too.
 
Awesome! I just picked up a copy of Guitar Hero III for $3 and Viva Pináta for $5.99 at K-Mart. Neither were tagged at that price! Thanks for the list!

I'll give the opposite point of view on it -- I played all the way through the entire game and thought it was pretty awful overall. Hackneyed plot, annoying characters that I didn't care about, banal side quests (I'm trying to save the universe and you want me to stop to get you a hairbrush? seriously?), too long between save points (especially toward the end, it literally got to be several hours between them -- don't play this game when you've got anything else to do anytime soon)... After hitting the (absolutely abhorrent) ending, I kind of wanted my 45 hours back. If you're really looking for a JRPG for the 360 (I was), it will serve the purpose. But only barely.

If it makes you feel any better, the Wal-Mart near me has :gc: Wave Race Blue Storm in their case, for full price - a whopping $50. And they wonder why it isn't selling. :lol:

Sometimes, old games just get stuck in limbo, where the store won't mark them down but there's no chance of them ever selling if they don't.

I bought it when it came out. Still haven't played much of it. I do agree that the save points are way too far apart. The voice acting can get annoying (What a surprise!) as well. But if I hadn't have bought it at $60, i'd have definetely bought it now.

I sometimes find it odd that these systems at Kmart seem to have prices of items that they supposedly never have in stock, while items that are out of stock disappear from the system. Is this a normal thing?

The Bouncer goes for $50 sealed so maybe they are using eBay to check their prices, lol. A store near me has 5 sealed copies of Eternal Darkness @ $49.99. I keep checking them though :)

I would expect someone that has been here as long as you to know that another drop might happen on Sunday. The last drop was on the 16th and they happen every month. Just hang on to your receipt, maybe they will price adjust for you even though they are not supposed to do that anymore (if the price drops lower tomorrow :D).

Funny you mention that. I just saw FIFA 2004 and 2005 for the PS1 at my Wal-Mart. They NEVER have Ps1 games there- it was weird. They were selling them for 20 bucks. Strange.

Are these clearence items in some different area from the regular games? Visited a k-mart tonight for the first time in about two years and didn't see anything marked clearence, only regular priced games inside a sealed glass case. Most of the items were stacked so you could only see the side, not even the cover or price.
 
Which Kmart did you hit up? I'm just wondering, since there's little to nothing left at most of the local ones. The WB store has a copy of the From Russia With Love game for the original Xbox in the one case off to the side of the main cases, but not much else.

Thing is, the Dickson City store had American Idol Encore 2 for the 360 clearly marked $4 each in the bottom of one of the cases. I saw them there last Sunday.
 
Yeah. Moosic is pretty devoid of deals right now. For a while their cases were so disorganized that I managed to pick up a PSone/LCD combo for $10 on clearance since it was crammed in the back of the one case. But since the order came from corporate to properly mark stuff and to clean up the cases it's been a virtual dead zone. Last great deal I got there was 2-3 HD-DVD drives for 360 for $12 a pop.
 
I hit up the local K-Mart. Lots of 19.xx 360 clearances (Star Ocean, Dark Sector, X-Blades). I'll wait for them to drop lower and hopefully not get beat the punch.

Also, they had two of the logitech mics still at $12. Again, if they go a little lower, I might bite, but my Rock Band one functions fine.
 
I just scored a PS3 Eye camera today for 14.xx.(I can never remember the cents even if it were to save my life...) It was marked at 19.99 green clearanced sticker, but the guy rang it up at 14.xx.

Now to see what games uses this camera. lol

If you didn't know by now Kay, Mark Of Kri has been an 'inside joke' of sorts on CAG for a while now. Many of us had Kmarts loaded up with 6-8 copies of them all stuck somewhere in the $20-30 range.

Some of the old SONY prices were off because I lost the sheet in July. There is no way for me to reprint it once it has been activated at the store level.

They only way to update it is when those games drop again (most likely penny or $2.50.)

The drop was still dumb from $15 to 0.01. Sears/Kmart is a very frustrating place to figure out.

I just found 2 40 GB PS3's with Spiderman 3 and 1 60 GB. And they are sitting next to the slim in the display case.

I was looking at the list and this was the one think that jumped out at me and I could only think that it's Blasphemy that K-Mart could do such a thing as penny out the Mark of Kri-Mart :D

Stores loaded up with this? Speak for yourself the copies at my K-Mart mysteriously disappeared a few years ago ;)

I suspect that these stores must do something with these games most likely being shipping them to another store or to be sold online. They had 3-4 copies of Disgaea 3 which mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago at the local Best Buy and I don't think they fell victum to the YMMV clearance bin as the stipulation prevents anything over 29.99 from going in. I remember about 5 years ago TRU having a shit ton of Crazy Taxi for the PS2 which all of suddenly disappeared after Christmas.

If that 60 gb is unopened and not some 40 or 80 gb model that someone pulled the old switcheroo on, you might wanna grab that Kay since they don't make it anymore and it's the best model PS3 that was available. My closest store had one buried in the back of the case up till about a year ago. I had it price checked just before I bought my 40 gb and it was still $600. :bomb:

They must've shipped off your stores copies of Mark Of Kri to one of my local stores and one of the further ones from me. The Mt. Pocono store had like 6-8 copies one of the last times I saw it there.:lol: I guess they thought it was going to be a big seller.:D
 
I can't believe all the games that are pennying out before dropping to a cheap price like $1.99 or $5.

I'm also still shocked the $5.99 games still aren't going to drop. I'm afraid they will eventually penny out also before dropping lower.

Hey kay I had a question for you. What does *All Sony HTIB dropped to penny out* mean?

There is a Sony HTIB (Sony DAV HDX285) at my store, and I was wondering whether it was on clearance too? The only reason I ask is that it isn't the same model you posted as being $0.01. The model you are talking about that is a penny is a Sony DAV HDX275.
