[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Sounds to me like that store was just now putting in their March PLCs, which is nothing to get excited about, but who knows? The way corporate is so bad about telling anyone at the store level what's going on, it could be anything. I know I haven't heard any big news, or I'd be posting it here.

As for removing them from the cases, I know the store I work at got word from corporate about 2 months ago that we were required to keep all $20 & under games out of the cases, so we've been doing that. Apparently the one I work at is considered a low risk store, which is just stupid as we catch shoplifters in there all the time(at least once or twice a week I'd say), and plenty more get away.
 
Well, I think it was all for naught. No games were out when I got there and the lady who told me about it (turns out she's electronics manager) had to find out why. They are having Family Fun Night and the games are on sale from 6-9pm. This does not sound like an exciting sale for me. She thought that at least regionally more stores were doing this and they had flyers posted about it and the activities to be included. She said they were including lots of games, but didn't know the extent of the discount. Just a note, my store has all of its games including under 20 in glass cases.

I don't mean to be bothersome, but I urgently need to know the pricematch policies. An earlier user claimed that b/c Kmart put the prices on the website he PMed at CC. I thought they needed a printout ad. Is this a YMMV kinda deal?
 
It's YMMV, some stores won't PM clearance, some won't PM webpages and some won't PM either. I think it also depends on the clerk/manager you get
 
You might be able to get the game at Kmart if it rung up as higher than what it was marked as on the website, however, getting Circuit City to price match kmart.com's $3 price is very very unlikely to be successful.
 
OK, thanks a lot for the replies. That's what I figured. Maybe I'll printout a couple of the product pages and give it a shot. I only wish they had put Musashi or Mercenaries (PS2) on the list.
 
Picked up Psychonauts (Xbox) for $3 and Advance Wars DS for $9. The cashier was amazed that Psychonauts rang up for $3 (I already knew it would, cause I had scanned the barcode earlier). It had a clearance sticker on there with a price of $24.:D

Definitely YMMV. CC's official PM policy has changed recently, and some stores still follow the old policy.

Currently PM is for in stock, in ad only(used to work for any price, so long as it could be verified). The only website that is PMed is CC.com. The policy is flexible, but technically websites(even big box websites) are not to be PMed. Same goes for clearance.
 
Went today to pick up Medieval:Resurrection, NFS: Most Wanted (PS2 5$) and R6: Lockdown (PS2 2$). Some of the prices listed on Kmart's website are different from the Slashbunny one, such as R6 Lockdown and NFS:MW for PS2, so you might want to check again.

I don't know to how many this applies, but the associate told me as I was ringing up that I was lucky to get in because someone was coming next week to ship the clearance games back to make more room.
 
I *FINALLY* got a $5 Dynasty Warriors for :psp: today! It was tagged $50, and the cashier scanned it 2 times after it rang up $5, like scanning it more would change the price:roll:

I saw it at an out of the way store when the December prices dropped, but I passed cause I didn't want to update my 1.5 fw.:whistle2:?

I've since I updated my 1.5 fw, and every time I've seen DW since it was either $35 or $40:bomb::bomb:

Anyway, I can confirm :psp: Dynasty Warriors for $5!:bouncy:
 
I know this is off topic, but if u downgrade, then upload the custom firmware u can play all the games (i play dw everyonce and a while) and all the other GREAT things u can do with a custom firmware PSP just so ya know
 
I didnt mean anything illegal, i play the UMD of DW which i got from the kmart deal. I also play my playstation backups (i own the game disks...i knew saving suikoden 2 all these years would pay off) I am against downloading games.
 
I checked out my local kmart today, not much, many of those new UPC price stickers, but I didnt really care for those games, old ps2 and xbox games.

I did pick up Golden Nugget Casino and Texas Hold'em Poker each for $1.50 for GBA, not the 2 pack as specified in the list, still want the UPC for these?

I also saw Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins for psp for $20, they had about half a dozen copies, so I guess I can confirm that price. Also saw Cars and Crash Bandicoot 2 pack for xbox at the $20 price. Kingdom of Paradise for psp, however, was for $19.99

Also saw about 5 copies of Trace Memory for ds at the "clearence price" of 29.99

I got Kingdom of Paradise for $10.00, so it seems as if that listed price is correct.

I think you can play DW on a 1.5 FW psp since it was a launch title.

YMMV I guess, but it looks like some Playstation games are actually pennied out now.

I picked up Beyblade for PSX for $0.01 tonight. There were a few other PSX games in the clearance section, but as soon as the clerk rang up Beyblade and saw the price, he scooped up the others and wouldn't let me buy them.

you should of completed purchase then asked fro manager about the others, doubt it would have made a difference but worth a try. If was on floor then they should sell to you.
 
The price scanner that's pretty close to the section wasn't working, so the problem was that I picked up the game and asked him to check the price for me, which is what brought the pennied out price to his attention. Like an idiot, I showed him where the rest were when he asked, and he said "I'm not sure that we're allowed to sell these" but either decided to let me have the one he'd already scanned or just forgot he'd handed it back to me.

It rang up in the front with no problem, though.

Dot hack was BURIED in the bottom and back of the PS2 case. I literally had to move a PS3 console out of the way and then dig for it, and was really surprised to find it.

It surprised me even more that Dot Hack rang up fine with no problems, since it's not even on the master list (I assume it was clearanced awhile ago?).

Polarium rang up $21 :roll: so I passed on that one.

I stopped by a local K-Mart and saw they put some new games in the clearance. Nothing too noticable, but they did have some Killer 7s that they didn't have before (Seriously, where do they pull these out from?), so I snagged one of those for PS2.
 
Big find- 1995's Classic PC release, SkyBorg, was at a K-Mart I never went to until now and was still in the system for $29.99. It's Windows 3.1 compatible!!!

there wasnt much at the 2 nearest kmarts to me but i was able to get a copy of ssx on tour for 14 bucks which is a great deal to me. ive been searching for this game for a while now and you either cant find it or they want way too much for it. thanks for the games list.

Got Metroid Pinball for $3.50 a couple days ago. It even came with the DS rumble pack, which in all honesty I would have paid $3.50 for by itself because of its Elite Beat Agents compatibility.

If you see old game guides at Kmart that you want, it is worth asking them for pricing. I found some Star Fox Adventures guides once and, though it took a while, they were eventually able to determine that the last sale price for these was 10 cents ;). It takes some good luck though - employees actually in the electronics section combined with them having the ability and willingness to check the scanners for old pricing data. Fortunately, that guide, in any case, didn't have a pre-printed price on it (otherwise they'd just quote you that, of course).

Mark of Kri $15, eh? Maybe it will reach $3 by 2009...

A couple of days ago, I was just passing through a local K-Mart, when I saw it: A copy of the Castlevania Double Pack for the GBA was sitting on a shelf in the GBA section. I couldn't believe it, as a few months ago, I carefully searched through this K-Mart's GBA section looking for this game, but it looked like they were out of stock. Luckily, it was still on clearance for $15, so I picked it up.

My Kmart has a row of Mark of Kri all with stickers on them saying "DISCONTINUED MERCHANDISE." I laugh every time I see that, they have been there on display for ages now.
