[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Whoa...that's my K-Mart. I thought I had it to myself. I cleaned that place out hard over the summer/fall. There were a handful of PS1 games and I bought them all, so I'm not sure where the ones you found came from. The electronics manager, Chris (with the beard/goatee thing), is a cool guy. I talked to him a lot when I would come every few days with UPC sheets. He even took my number to call me the day they moved everything out of the back. I'll have to go check and see what's there and hopefully he'll be around.
 
Question I've been wondering now, being that the Wii is launched: Is Nintendo planning on continuing Gamecube game production or what? Being the Wii can play GC games, will they still continue to be on the shelf or will they start to be cleared out? If so, could we possibly see a big Gamecube clearance coming eventually?

Not sure if this is a great deal or not, but at the kmart I visited today they had a copy of 1080 Avalanche (GC) which rang up for $14.99. I didn't buy it, but there you go.
 
The KMart Clearance lately has been a big dissapointment for me. Early last year was great but then they all got cleared out and brought in the Big Stickered Games. Since then I can't find a decent deal. Sears has been pretty good lately. I hope they clearance out the Gamecube section soon.
 
I saw a couple new clearance games at $20, but most of them are in the OP, including Halo 2, Hitman: Blood Money, and the Crash 2-pack all for Xbox. I didn't see Rogue Trooper ($20) or the Carbon 360 faceplate ($14) on the list though.
 
They've pretty much dropped everywhere else by now anyway, but Far Cry & Open Season for Wii have dropped to $19.99 at K-Mart now as well.
 
Went again today just for giggles and saw the same 3 copies of Musashi for 24 bucks. :roll: Oh And I saw this ..Had to snap a pic with my Cellphone. Sorry for the blurryness, I was laughing my ass off. $68.99 anyone? Mario Strikers was marked 58.99..I never saw these before.

Even if you don't find anything it pays to keep checking back. Last night at one I've frequently checked I found 2 PSP Neopets stickered $28 but they scanned for $4. They also have Dynasty Warrior stickered $40.00! I figured whoever priced it just had teh decimal point off but it scanned for $40.00 too. It didn't make much sense since all the other PSP games were $39.99 or less.

Then today at another one I've frequently checked on a bottom shelf in teh computer section I found a Western Digital 80GB external drive, it was stickered $89.99 but scanned for $22. I have been looking for one of them for a few months now since I first saw it posted without any luck and then today there one is at one of my local K-Marts.

Family Guy and KH2 are not clearance prices. Those are pretty much official price drops, especially since KH2 became a Greatest Hits title. PSP's drop is universal as well.

May not be a ultra big discount but picked up harvest moon: wonderful life special edition for 15 and we love katamari for 15. The katamari has been there forever, and there were 3 wonderful lifes before but now was only 1...which I got. I couldn't wait for the price drops cause I know they could go anytime and they were both the last copies. Also I noticed and this may be very YMMV but some games previously marked 14.99(restickered such as viewtful joe for ps2) are now marked 11.99. Might be nice for some of those games...and almost picked up the nightmare of duraga...but well I have had enough azure dreams for a while, and this type of game didn't appeal to me at the moment.

Well the kmart by me really sucks, no service but they do have a rack of older ps2 cube gba and other games. I went through them and went to the scanner (one closest was broken of course) and it rang up at 2.00. they were clearancing other games but were at 14, 10 and 20 bucks. Gta wasnt the collectors edition just the 2nd version.

just got lucky, i must scanned like 30 games after I found gta but only fantastic deal. lol

Anyone know if Chibi Robo or Ninja Gaiden Black actually DROPPED yet? I'm dying to play NGB, but $15 is still out of my cheapass price range, while $7.50 would be within my tolerance zone. And, I think Chibi Robo(along with Geist) were $10 last I checked them, but again, $5 is SOOOOO much nicer a price.
 
oh u didnt pick up geist with the gamestop $5 off any used gamecube game? I picked it up for under 3 bucks I believe, I waited forever for kmart to drop it but i gave up and got it used (thankfully it came with everything

Most people were only offered used games priced $14.99 & up for that GS (non) deal....
 
I'm not big on strategy games but I saw Advance Wars at my local K-Mart (haven't been there in a while...) and for the suggested price ($20?) I decided to turn down the offer

Now I found out its only $9 and its one of the best games the DS has to offer...anyone recommend it?

Buy it. If you have any interest at all in the RTS genre, Advance Wars will do a good job converting you. That's also a great price.

Buy it! AWDS is one of my favorite DS games...maybe even my favorite.

#1: I absolutely HATE Gamestop and unless I'm going to a store out of my area, I never get a deal at mine, since the local DM is a total .

#2: I loathe used games, especially from GS/EB, since some of their stuff looks like poo and plays the same.

I forgot a week or so ago I picked up the PSP Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire for $10, its still showing $14 on the list

I don't *think* TMNT double pack is on clearence but there are so many GBA games its hard to keep track of them (especially cartoon licensed garbarge, no offense).

You could try the trick of printing out a UPC scan of half.com or somewhere and doing a in store price check...assuming you dont want to just have an employee check the price for you....

Advance Wars is turn based tactical not an RTS.
 
Stopped by a kmart yesterday and picked up FF VII the one with Vincent on the cover for $12.50. It's a deal I think? I bought it anyway. Also saw lots of stuff for 360 for 75% off like Ninty nine nights and etc. Didn't touch that bin coz I don't own 360.

Well it is not a super deal, considering the regular price now is 29.99 I think? Not 49.99 anymore. I bought 2 copies of those thought I would have brough one to GS/EB for a trade in but since it is now 29.99 I don't think I am getting much out of it so I will just return the game.
