[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I picked up Table Tennis, which rang up as 7.00 for me and I noticed a few games not on the list. NBA 2K6 and Cabela's Alaskan Adventure which were both for the 360 and at 7.00. I hit pretty much all the 360 stuff. One of these days I need to get the older stuff scanned and see if it's clearanced out. How often does a K-Mart worker give us a list?
 
Picked up Disgaea 2, Rouge Galaxy, and Perfect Dark Zero at a local K-Mart. It was strange, Disgaea 2 and Just Cause (360), both of which were in the display case, came up at $17.80 instead of $12. While Rouge Galaxy and PDZ, which were both in a sort of "Clearance Box" out of the case, came up at $10 and $7.50 respectively. I passed on Just Cause, but I got Disgaea 2, since $17 is still a pretty good deal for the game.
 
I picked up "Just Cause" for $12 yesterday. I figure it's a decent rental. Though I may check another store for availability and wait for another drop.

My dad wants to stop at his beach house for whatever reason, and of course e won't go without my company. So maybe I'll presuade (read: force) him to stop over at a K-Mart along the way that seems to be good with keeping their prices up to date. Here's hoping for Disgaea and Rogue!
 
Just picked up Disgaea 2 for $12 and 22 bubble mailers at $.09 each! For anyone in the SGV area in SoCal, the BigK on Hacienda still has about 6-8 copies of Disgaea 2. They also have a mess load of other games, many of which I'm sure are on clearance, but I only wanted Disgaea. Go check it out!

See, I want the game, but for the original Xbox. But, I think the original Xbox version is still at about $20-30, so I'm SOL on that. A friend of mine on CAG picked up one of the front lane copies for me though, so I'm golden, once they get down this way to let me buy it off them that is since I never get up their way anymore.

I picked up about 2 packs of bubble mailers myself, but later on learned that they weren't the right size for guides. So, I had to do some creative 'surgery' on a couple of them when shipping out some guides the last time. But, I did get some decent packing tape in their own 'guns' for $1 and change, so it wasn't a bad trip.

And actually, the one local Dollar Tree has real tape guns on sale now for a buck, so I may just grab one of those, since most places want $10-20 for one of them normally.

i think so. they didn't have the standalone game at any kmarts as far as i know. might actually check this out today cause i know a place that has it.
 
I was having a hard time getting a barcode for the DDR Universe 4 game, but vgrebirth.org is a great place to get em just incase anyone else is having the issue of the UPC not being in the CAG database. Im off to check the game now cheers.
 
Is other clearance stuff getting marked down the same time as the games? There is stuff in other departments that I am interested in as well.

I went to a different K-Mart, they didn't do the new drop yet.

Does anyone know if I can buy games at a K-Mart with higher prices and then bring them to one that has dropped for a price adjust?

I did grab a FFIV for $6.30 AC, though...and went back to my local one and used another 10% off coupon to price adjust and got another $10 back...a third coupon to pick up another TotA, ToL, and KHII (black label) for $48 after tax.

Yeah, YMMV as their receipts even say they will not do price adjustments on clearance merchandise. I got shot down at a Big K, but the regular Kmarts didn't seem to care and did it. You have only 7 days for adjustments.

7 Days is for price adjustments (even if you don't have item on hand).

0 Days for clearance items. YMMV as many CSRs don't really know what's on clearance [even though there are letter codes on the receipts].

30 Days for returns/exchanges on video game items.

So basically if you don't have item on hand or if your item is opened you have 7 days to price adjust. If you happen to still have your item and it is sealed it should be easy enough for the CSR to return the item and let you rebuy it. Sometimes though you get an asshole worker who will by "obligation" let you return the items BUT will not let you rebuy them, stating that the item isn't back in their system till tomorrow or some other bullshit excuse ( YMMV on assholes :p ).

When I did my price adjustments on a few clearance games, the Customer Service lady immediately asked me if my purchases were within 7 days.

What I do then is make sure that there's at least another copy of the item back in electronics, then I go back to electronics and rebuy it there, rather than wait for the one from the service desk to make its way back there.

Easy peasey and so much easier than arguing with someone to let ya rebuy something ya just possibly said that you don't want as the reason for the return.

The only PS3 game I've heard of being clearanced anywhere was College Hoops 2k7 for $16.96 @ Circuit City (several months ago). Also CompUSA had some YMMV clearances including some crappy PS3 games (ie. Gundam, Genji).
 
I went to a Kmart I don't usually go to tonight and they didn;t have a single 360 clearance game in the frontlane rack or in the locked cases and I thought that was very odd. On the way in I noticed the Electronics guy tagging a bunch of games. I assumed they were a stack of Halo 3 or something. It turns out they were all the 360 clearance games ;). According to him the prices *just* dropped that afternoon. So I saw all the usual suspects (minus the seemingly hard to find Amped 3 and Top Spin 2). But there were a bunch of NEW clearance games. It was nothing to get too excited about since they were mostly at the $30 and $5 price points, but these are ones we'll need to keep an eye on in the future. I wish I had had a pen, but from memory: Virtua Tennis 3, Hitman, Battlestations Midway, Surf's Up (this was $22 and I bought it), LOTR Battle for Middle Earth (likely $22 also but I didn't check), and, crap, a bunch of others. There was nothing there that interested me too much unless it was $10 or less, so that's partly why I don't remember. I'll add Surf's Up to the OP since I actually have the receipt for that one. We ought to keep an eye on the others, and if anyone else can verify pricing I'll add 'em to the OP.

haha, i notice that copy every time i'm in that store. i keep wanting to show it to someone in electronics but theirs no one their.

if your looking for Amped 3 though the one on Dobson had 3 or 4 copies when i was there yesterday all in the case.
 
Couldn't believe my luck yesterday. Had to go to Rochester to take my Grandma to the doctor, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to stop at a couple K-marts that I haven't been to in awhile. I was specifically looking for Rogue Galaxy, Dance Factory and DDRU4. Brought bar codes and everything. At the first store found:

:ps2:Dance Factory $10

Neither game had been stickered to reflect these prices, glad I brought my barcodes:cool: Now, this is a K-mart that is notorious for not having anyone working in electronics, ever. Takes forever to get someone to come over and open up the cases for you. On my visit yesterday, I was helped right away by a very courteous employee. No wait time at all.

Next K-Mart had:

Tomb Raider was marked $7, DDR was marked $32. Cashier (again, I got lucky and was helped promtly by a super nice guy) couldn't believe my luck ;) All in all one of the best K-Mart ventures I've had in a long time.

You probably didn't miss much, they were probably just the '06 and '07 EA sports games (NBA/Tiger Woods/NHL/etc) for $22 each. Took them long enough to drop the '06 ones though.

And I passed on copies of Amped 3 and Top Spin 2... I put them out on the shelves and Top Spin 2 sold that night, but whatever.

My luck with this clearance list has been pretty hit-or-miss, but yesterday I managed to find a ton of items I had been looking for. I managed to get the following, all for $7 apiece:

Xbox 360

However, I found out after the fact that PSU requires an additional monthly fee, so I brought it back. I figured I might as well leave it for someone who would really enjoy it, rather than scoop it up and let it collect dust on my shelf after I tired of the offline parts.
 
Just so everyone knows, Phantasy Star Universe has a single player mode that is free to play. Playing online does cost extra, but all the Achievements are from the single player campaign.
 
One of the three kmarts near me has copies of DDR for xbox on clearance, i wanna bite but are there any cheap pads available? What have you guys done?

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember seeing NHL 07 and Tiger Woods 07. But there were some other regular games too. With most of those being $45 or $30 they still aren't worth getting too excited about. Some of those $30 games may be worthwhile if a 30% off sale happens again, so I'd like to get them in the OP (and also that way we'll know what to check when the next round of cuts happens). I'm not sure why I picked up Surf's Up for $22. I'll keep it sealed and wait for a 30% off sale - it might be barely worth it then for the kiddies.
