[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

It did the same at mine, but it had a $15 sticker, as did Perfect Dark. I told the cashier that Chromehounds was also reduced to $4.90, and he called a manager over to get the override. I was surprised at how little trouble I had with the adjustment, especially since I've dealt (attempt to deal) with that manager before.
 
I picked up Tiger Woods 07 for the 360 for $13.30, which is $19.XX with 30% off.

NHL 07 (360) also scanned for $13.30, Full Auto was marked $19.XX with 30% off (didn't scan that though). They also had the other NHL 360 (NHL 2007?) Game marked at $19.XX.

This is the Commerce, MI K-Mart. Lots of DS Games in the bin.

Did you actually have them scan items? I've been to three K-Marts and the sale was active at all three, but nothing was marked. Most of my clearance games are still priced $59.99.

I just confirmed at Kmart in Miami that sale is still active. I bought Star Trek for Xbox 360 $10 -30% = $7, Tiger Woods 07 360 $19-30%= $13.30. Both scanned correctly.

Elite Beat Agents went up to $29.99 at this Kmart. It was $13.30 on Saturday because I scanned it.

Technically the 10% off coupon would technically exclude games and game systems because of the "home electronics" part. It just looks so official and apparently works that most associates won't read all the fine print.

The person ringing you up would probably be much more discerning when you were buying a $349 console than they would be for a $20 assortment of clearence games. You probably won't get it but it's worth a shot.

I thoroughly checked the one Kmart whose cases I had only skimmed through last week and found a lone copy of Rogue Galaxy and Tales Of Legendia. This store also has 3 copies of BK Origins and several other clearance titles(The Warriors, for one) which were buried amongst the crap they have in their cases.

I also found 2 copies of Soul Calibur II for PS2, which rang up 'check shelf label' when I PC'd them at the scanner myself last week, yet they rang up $19.99 today when the electronics employee used a price gun to check its price. Weird.

I think I also saw the aforementioned 26-27" LCD tv that's on clearance. A Syntax Olevia, which was marked $500 or so, but as we all know, Kmart is infamous for not updating prices quickly.

I saw a list of price updates sitting beside the register on the counter as I waited for someone to come give me PCs on the the games. I only saw the first page, where multiple DVDs were listed as dropping from $6.99-$8.99 to $2.50 and an even more interesting entry from the cd section, with copies of Wolfmothers' self titled CD originally ringing up as .00 in the system, but with the list it changed to $13.99.

Had the employees been busy for longer, I would've casually perused the rest of the stack, to see if there were any further price drops on games or tvs for this week. But, for once, I had not one but TWO Kmart employees helping me.

I had to wait 9 minutes to get the case open yesterday I timed it apparently a manager came over to open it i said "it took 9 minutes to open the game case? Next time ill just go to the Kmart down the street" he offered me the employee discount ontop of everything else. Needless to say I will be timing it from now on :lol:
 
What's the deal with these televisions? I keep seeing people say that certain ones are clearenced, but they never give a specific description.

Do any of you guys have any more info?

Not as far as I know, though there was a lot of discussion about it a few pages back. I think, for some reason, people expect it to go on clearance. I'm not really sure why - it is pretty new. Maybe it will be on clearance next Spring or Summer though. But who knows, it could be sooner or it could be never like some of the other games that ought to be cleared out.
 
i stopped by the closest kmart today (Nellis & Bonanza in N. Las Vegas) and the 30% off sale was still going on...they pulled some 120GB hard drives out of the back...no 20 gigers.... :whistle2:(
 
Apparently, the Halloween special this past Saturday was just at my Kmart. Nobody missed anything. The EM said they would have flat panels on sale and an extra % off games. The flat panels were like 15 EDTVs and there was no extra % off games. This KMart is having a customer appreciation day November 4th. Probably YMMV also, but I figured I'd toss it out there.

I found an Xbox 007 Everything or nothing for 10 even though it's 2 in the OP. I know it's YMMV on prices, but I think it's because it was a FRONTLANE game which had a clearance sticker over the FL price sticker, yet I noticed they scanned the frontlane UPC which still covered the regular UPC.

Unfortunately, I went to my ghetto K with all sorts of hidden gems and a REALLY helpful and nice old clerk and right away he asked if I sent a friend there (he knows me as the guy who finds all the great bargains). Right away I knew. Some guy came in and cleared it out. Clerk said he bought over $400 in games. I know at least 80 of it was Table Tennis games. I was going to get some Tomb Raiders, Table Tennis for trades with CAGs and a Pimp My Ride for GR trade in to get the new DS Zelda cheaper, but he took almost all of it. All he left was some original xbox stuff. He wasn't smart enough to look in racks behind the first game though. I got a NHL2k7 for me and two Preys for trade.

He told the clerk he had a store he was buying these for. Hopefully, he didn't rape my other KMarts even though they didn't have as many gems as this one did.

I got the 26 inch Sylvania 720P LCD for 304 after tax after using the 10% off and the gift card deal they had (25 dollar gift card for 20)
I'm pretty happy though I'm gonna keep it sealed up until after Black Friday. If I find something else I'll either Craigslist the TV for what I paid or take the 300 dollars in giftcards back and buy games for a while. I'm also hoping for a price drop on the TV-- that would be real nice for it to hop 20% or so.
With this gift card deal going on (essentially 20% off) I wonder if I should stock up for a rainy day. Combined with the 10% off (which unfortunately ends in a couple of days) I could get new release Wii games for 35 plus tax or 360 games for 42 plus tax, which is right on mark for what you could get from Lion Games or Google Checkout.

Whaaa?? Personally, I returned the Prey I got as it didn't look interesting to me (I bought it before the 30% and would have picked it up again but it was gone). And Open Season is only marginally OK. But at the $4.90 price I think it is definitely worth getting Chromehounds, Table Tennis, Tomb Raider Legend, and Kameo. Others that are probably worth it too (at $4.90) are Bionicles, PSU, Moto GP 06, and Perfect Dark Zero. At $7 Amped 3 and Star Trek Legacy look interesting (haven't played either - just got Amped from another CAG). And I think LOTR:BfME II is a great deal at $13.30.

I'm not a big FPS fan so I passed it up, but Quake 4 for $7 isn't too bad. Oh, and I didn't even realize Gun was on the list - that seems like a good buy at $7. I paid twice that for it (have yet to play it though). I also picked up Superman Returns which might not be worth the $7, but that's cheap enough I thought it might be good for a quick play. I also got X-Men for $7 which I may end up returning - probably my most iffy purchase.

I asked at my local kmart and they didn't know anything about it, but also kmart doesn't sell $25 denomination gift cards (at least mine doesn't), they sell gift cards which you specify the amount you want on the card. Did you get one of those cards and ask for $25 or did your kmart have specific $25 cards. Or, in short, can you tell us exactly how you cashed in on that deal?

I personally have no desire to play Open Season at all, but Amped, Table Tennis, Prey, PDZ and Kameo have all been worthwhile plays at the prices I got them for.

I bought mine all at once, they just scanned a coupon for each card. I printed out 20 coupons and brought them with me because I knew my store was clueless about the promotion.

I'll try and get a scan up of one if I get a hold of one tomorrow or Saturday.

I believe the 10% (20% on clothing) will work on anything in the store, as it works like an associate discount; basically that means you can get that PS3 for $450 + tax and whatnot. (No promises on it working 100%, but it might)

Unless they changed it recently to match Sears, Kmart's associate discount SUCKS. When I worked there several years ago, I believe the discount was 15%, but the catch was 15% off of regular prices. So, say something is on sale for 10% off the regular price, you'd only get an additional 5%. If the sale was greater than 15%, you may as well not even take out your discount card.

This was about 5-6 years ago when I worked there. Like I said, it may have changed since.

Where's your KMart? I thought mine here in Atlanta was the only one doing Friends & Family Day.
 
For the above poster asking, yes my store was running the promo luckily. The associate was supercool about it and gave me 15 cards, noting that he's been telling people who buy TVs and other big items to take advantage of the deal.
I may take advantage of this deal for a 60 GB PS3, or even a 20 GB if I was that lucky. anyone know what Kmarts are typically carrying?
 
I am really tempted to try to get a 60GB PS3 with this and the 10% coupon that expires tomorrow. That means 18 giftcards at an out of pocket cost of $360. $360 (plus tax) for a new 60GB PS3 is not bad at all.

After tomorrow, it will take 20 giftcards at an out of pocket cost of $400.

The flier posted appeared to be region specific. It also specifically excluded video game hardware.

Same here. I think Rogue Galaxy had a yellow "REDUCED" sticker saying it was $49.99 but was now $29.99. Scanned $10 - $3 for the 30% off for a total of $&

Final Fantasy XI for the 360 was $4.90 after discount. Both scanned that price and did not require an override.
 
Yeah, kmart's employee discount really sucks. When I worked there (summer of 2000) we only got a card for an extra 10% off. The catch is it had to be off regular prices only, I think clearance (yellow stickers) counted but they changed it shortly after to not include clearance.

Basically anything that came up with the letters "ADV" on the scanner or price checker was not included in the employee discount, that means it was an advertised price, and since from what I have seen pretty much all clearance items and even some other items come up with an ADV. Its basically random which items in the store come up with an ADV, so even if your buying a non-clearance, non-advertised item it might still come up as ADV.

Anyone who shops at kmart knows that pretty much any other store has regular prices lower than them, so the discount is worthless. Kmart is only worth shopping for clearance items.

Kameo is decent, worth the amount you'll spend. The same could be said for Perfect Dark, Phantasy Star and Prey. However, if you're a fan of the first PD, such as myself, you might not want to bother with PDZ. It's pretty mediocre in comparison with the original.

Does anyone know how the Sears Grand stores compare in price to Kmart on video games? Do they run the same clearance sales and prices. About half of the Kmarts in my area have converted over to Sears Grand stores.

Doesn't look like it, but was curious if anyone took advantage and actually found a couple games that make it worthwhile.
