I went to my local Walmart, in Michigan, and they had 10 or so of the Black Ops 12 month cards but they rang up $59.96. Unless I'm missing something, this is YMMV which sucks because $36 would have been great.

Granted price never goes down, but in cases were you only need 400/800 it gets the job done. :bouncy:
 
Still had a $10 credit only good towards Live subscription on Amazon. Made $43.99 into the much more appealing $33.99.

Just a note in case anyone forgot they had that credit. I got mine for an order placed at least 6 months ago.

Thanks for the info guys. Now that I think about it, maybe I'll just buy a 1600 point card and download an extra game or too outside of the 800 points I needed.
 
I missed out on the Walmart $36 deal.

My brother-in-law wasn't able to find it @ his Walmart after all.

The chase for a good deal on a 12 month sub card continues... hehe

I still have the one from my Halo: Reach LEGENDARY Ed. purchase. I don't immediately need a Gold sub. at the moment though. I know it expires at the end of this year too.
 
Just got a few emails from the "your360connection" guys that had cheap points / subs a while ago.

They've got 4000 point codes and 12 Month subs for $35.

I can attest I just bought a 4000 point code and it was emailed almost immediately, and worked.

I think your hyperlinks are switched but it takes two seconds to click the other one. $35 for 4k MSP is a pretty good deal, so I'll be checking periodically to see if they are re-stocked.

Posted the FYE info in OP. Scored my 12 Month Vision Gold Pack at the B&M store across from Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN about a week ago.

I tried to extend mine for a month but Xbox doesnt like my new CC. Tried it online and thru the box. I wish we could use Paypal on it.

Oh, I believe what you need to do is:

>Sign in to Xbox.com
>>Under my "MyXbox", click on "Accounts"
>>>Under "Account Information" click on "Manage Payment Options"
>>>>You should see a "Pay with Paypal" button.

It will redirect you to the Paypal site to sign some agreement and should now be able to pay with Paypal.

EDIT: It let me purchase another month without any issue.

I have it linked. i even removed my old CC, so my only form of payment is thru paypal. I can buy M$ points with Paypal, but when I try to add the month it acts like I have no payment options on file.

My guess here is maybe it's not supposed to be available (Paypal payment option) and it should have stopped current members for signing up more than once with the same CC. It must be a glitch because I extended it for 5 months more.

I'm just curious, what company is your CC from? I used my Chase Visa debit card btw.
 
Just noticed after I read the terms and conditions twice, must have missed it. Said limit one per account, so this is great, I've paid for five months of Xbox live for $5 and my account will probably get banned. :(

There's no precedence to for something like that to happen. Remember the fiasco for the tens of thousands free 1 month Gold codes through the Netflix promotion? eBay was swarmed with codes for $3 for weeks.
 
And there's all the other times when paid DLC goes out for free, or last year when Fable 2 was changed to FREE for a few hours. MS fixes the problem and let's it go. When it's an error on their part, it's easier to keep the customer happy and have them enjoy the extra time than to go back and ban/punish anyone who worked the system. Because chances are, a majority of those folks that did work the system will still be paying customers later, anyway.

Buy ANY retail 12m subscription card and activate it through the link on the dashboard and receive 600 free msp. Not bad since you can do the Amazon $40 price and as long as you active it through the dashboard you'll get the free 600msp still.

Dang, I just checked my dashboard and nada. My sub was going to expire sometime in July but I extended it into the next year with that $1 for 1 month link. I should wait to see what they offer in situations like these.

Hey guys, BB gamer magazine has a $20 off coupon for 12 month cards. May not sound like an epic deal, but when you factor in that the joust sub cards only cost 49.99, it's a solid deal. $29 for an xbla game and 12 months? All day.

Went ahead and got a code from amazon, was going to try the 600 point deal but nothing on my dash. At the same time I still had that 10 dollar promo and I doubt I will see cheaper than 30 for a year. I am good till 2013 now, will probably wait from now on, just in case they change what they do for the next console.

As an aside I was just given 300 points on the 12th of May. Anyone remember any promos that give out that amount. I was expecting 400 for the Halo map pack but 300 isn't sounding familiar.

i got prompted to register my email as soon as i got to the website in exchance for a $10 off my first purchase. It said it would take 2-3 days to send me the email but im wondering if i could add this ontop and get the 4k points for a measly $32. I have a feeling the $10 of has weird restrictions and or something stupid like a $150 spending requirement. We'll see though...

I got the same offer and was ready to jump on it, but it says on that same page that there's a $100 minimum purchase to get the $10 off
 
so what's the best deal going right now for a 12+ month card? mine runs out end of the month...lowest I saw so far was $44.99 for a code via Amazon...

Thanks, but for some reason they're charging tax for me here in IL. Aren't these cards suppose to be tax free? Maybe not, in retrospect I guess I've never bought these cards at a B&M store.
