You can talk about the Bears cake schedule, but don't act like the Colts have had a rough road. Certainly tougher than the Bears and teir crappy division, but IMO they've only played two decent teams so far. That's backed up by their oppoents records, same 2 teams are the only ones above .500. Washington, Houston, Tennessee, and even the Jets are not what I'd call playoff contendeders. And Jacksonville's defense has been terrible on the road. Sure the Colts are good, but we've all seen this scenario before and their narrow escapes won't hold up forever. And the Bears will lose at least one game in the next 3 weeks too.

The Bears like the Colts always choke in the playoffs. I hate listening to how great these teams are in the regular season because they don't do shit in the playoffs.
I definitely took into account that they seem to start slow every year after their Super Bowl appearance, but I think they're digging themselves into too big of a hole here. They were my NFC Super Bowl pick at the beginning of the season but they just look waaay too flat on both sides of the ball. I would not be surprised to see them nab the last wild card spot, but I just don't see it happening.
If they can close out games they will be fine. 7 of their 8 games they have had the lead in the fourth quater which shows they are competitive, but can't close it out (which is suprising since Jake is clutch late in the game).

Jake doesn't look comfortable out there, something I don't think is going to change. They finish their schedule at the two teams ahead of them in the division. Tampa Bay, Washington, Pittsburgh are all winnable games. St. Louis and Philly are questionable. If they go 5-3, they don't make the playoffs.
I'm in Minnesota this week and all they were saying on the radio today was how great the Vikings are this year and if it was a close game tonight the Vikings would win. morons.
The Vikings outside of last night's game against the Pats have been pretty decent this year. I said DECENT - not great or awesome or amazing but DECENT. Honestly if the Vikes make the playoffs this year then I will be amazed. I seriously think that they need to do a better job against teams like the Pats who obviously showed how bad the Vikes are against that kind of team last night.
The Buccaneers have one of the worst offenses I have ever seen.
QFT, and I mean ever seen. If they don't run the ball well at all, they have no chance. And I apologize for the Gradkowski for ROTY, I think the guy who wins it is on the same field, and it's not Reggie Bush; it's Marques Colston.

The defense looked awful to start the game and that's the way it's been all season. I know they are injured, but I expected them to be fired up playing at home especially with the way they almost beat the Saints the last time they played.

Well, the Bruce is loose after I typed that comment so maybe second place is within reach

Colston is running away with ROTY. My boy Greg Jennings isnt too bad either. Certainly higher up for ROTY than RBush.

The Bruce is Loose!! Great drive by Gradkowski, and nice job for Joey Galloway to assert himself to the star he needs to be.

That Skins/Cowboys game was easily one of the most amazing games of the season. w0w. Parcells looks like an idiot for going for two early on.

OMG!

Man, the Redskins are gonna give Gibbs a heart attack. They had no business winning, but I am glad they did. Romo played a very good game IMO.

Yep!

I had forgotten all about that.

Wow, that ball looked like it was no good until the very last second. Whoever had that facemask called on him is going to be kicking himself tonight.

I guess Drew Rosenhaus was right about one reciever.....Javon Walker. I'm sure Denver fans are realizing he's worth every penny.

fucking Packers...the way they were running the ball the could've skipped it in on the goaline..but they throw a pick.
Buffalo had no offense aside from the one broken coverage touchdown pass and the last touchdown drive...Packers could've won that game so many times...
fucking Packers...
Yeah, I finally picked them to win this week too.

How bout them Vikes, they have been unwatchable the last 2 weeks.

Anyone watching the colts/pats game? These refs need to be shot. The last 2 patriot games i've watched the refs ALWAYS sided with the pats even when the announcers disagree. It seems like pats get special treatment.

Speak for yourself gokou. Where the fuck was the pass interferance on that interception the Colts got at the end of the 2nd quarter. God damn it....

Come on Pats.... YOU NEED TO WIN!

Oh, and fuck the Vikings. They need to fire every single wide reciever. They all suck. Can't catch a damn ball.

Pretty entertaining game so far between the Pats and Colts. Brady needs to stop forcing the ball to Watson so much though, I think the Colts have watched the film on NE from the last few weeks. I'm surprised with Peyton's ability to manuever around the NE pass rush.

WHAT pass interference? You mean the one where he tipped the ball and it got intercepted? Explain how that was an interference, oh it wasn't.

The NFL needs to have a pay service over the internet where they have the key players of each game with microphones and you can listen to each interaction after every play. I'd surely pay for that, something like the NASCAR service they have. I'd give anything to hear what's going on between Harrison and Hobbs right now. It's so interesting to see players who are quiet like him go off like Harrison.
F the Pats, I'm tired of them, and I'm tired of everyone talking about how Tom Brady is the best QB of all time. fuck that.
3 Super Bowl rings kind of has that effect.

Bullshit. It doesn't make you the best QB of all time, not after four years. Let's annoint the boy wonder when he retires, or maybe after 20k passing yards. Jeter wasn't a HOF'er after the 1999 season, I don't want to hear the crap about Brady being one now.

BTW, hats off to Belichick for his use of color in tonight's attire. The blue earwarmers and blue turtleneck accent his red hoodie, eschewing his usual drab gray, stolen off a hobo, cutoff hoodie of days past. Haven't seen the rest of his attire though. Perhaps he's wearing a garbage bag for pants to offset.

Wow, 4 INTs for Brady. I wasn't expecting that. Almost more surprising that Vinatieri missing 2 FGs (I say he makes all his FGs the rest of the season after this game).

Amazing though, the Colts go on the road back-to-back against Denver and the Pats and come away with wins.

You just have to believe... Like I did. :p
You just have to believe... Like I did. :p
I don't know if that's still a marketing campaign for the Colts this year. They had signs everywhere that just had the words "Believe" at some point.

I'm a believer in Manning though. It's the defense that I've always had worries about, but good game tonight for that crew. And Keiaho got in the game!!!!

Anyone see Peyton's post-game conference on ESPN? That was amazing how much he remembers things in detail even the first drive of the game.

The win and everything is great for the Colts, but I'm a little tired of this whole song and dance. You just know they're going to blow it in the playoffs.

then tell me how peyton is already called a hall of famer but he has only won what 2 playoff games in a 9 year career while brady has destroyed that. andthe colts were and are the best team. how cant you win a a playoff game with a stud offense like that? please tell me? Brady proved that with a mediocre team you can take a team to its limits. he wins championships without having steller stats. he carried those super bowl teams to victory and dont tell me the D did it because they got banged up and almost became a liability for them to win. who would you call a HOF in this league right now if its not Brady?no one in four years has accomplished what he has and peyton hasnt even tasted a lick of what Brady has. He is our times Joe Montana. Montana was great but he didnt kill the record books like marino or manning has. montana won with poise and skill to lead a team. thats how brady is doing it. he leads his team with poise and greatness and makes his team look great. and if you dont believe me about montana not killing the record books here is the link to the NFL Facts and Records section. its on passing and montana is a bareley on their but he won alot with his team. why cant brady gain that same recognition

I can't believe the pats only lost by 7 after all of those turnovers. I guarantee if the teams meet in the playoffs Brady doesn't repeat his bad performance. I find myself hoping the pats don't get picked up for any sunday night flex schdule games the sunday games have been ugly for the flying elivis squad

Yeah, the Colts line didn't look very good tonight. The pocket seemed to be getting pushed back a lot more than it usually does, forcing Peyton to roll out or release high to get it over the line.

I think this could be the year for the Colts. Their D isn't great, but they are the most consistent so far this year in the league.

Ravens-Colts in the AFC Championship game, winner takes the super bowl. You heard it here first. :D

All I'll say is that championships are a team achievement, not individual, and solely it should have no bearing on calling Brady or anyone else the best.

No one said Trent Dilfer was the best when the Ravens won a few years ago. No one said Brad Johnson was. People said Kurt Warner was but they don't now. Troy Aikman won multiple titles, yet I never hear him mentioned as the best ever.

Now if you are talking Brady's individual performances then yes, he is one of the best in the game. From pure QB skills though, no one is close to Peyton Manning IMO.
