Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Fishface, I still have my move controllers from pS3.

And I was saying I bought a used bundle on eBay that had a Wireless headset, but I don’t want that one.

New Releases:

Hex Tunnel - $4.99

Konrad the Kitten - $14.99

Moss - $29.99

Tekken 7 and GT Sport are probably not games to get for their VR mode unless you were wanting the rest of the game anyway.

Since my purchase wouldn't go through during the last 15 minutes of the sale, I still need $13 to hit 100. Thinking about Blasters of the Universe. Sounds like it has some decent buzz.

So I bought this headset to try and it doesn't work well for me. Maybe my head is small, but the pads just don't cover my ears well enough. I saw the recommendations on placement from the turtle beach website but since I wear glasses, it's tricky to get everything in focus, comfortable, and have the headset fit correctly.

I'm going to try this one next.

I use the 350VR headphones with PSVR and glasses as well.  The headphones fit perfectly.  I'd think your head would be too big if the pads don't fit over your ear fully.  You're putting the headphones on over the headset right?

I am putting them over the headset, and if I fiddle with it I can get it to mostly cover my ears, but the top 1/3 of the pads never seem to cover my ears good enough.

Moss is freaking incredible.  The game probably has the most charm out of any game I've ever played.  You can feel the love that was put into the game.  The animations on Quill is so fantastic.  I also love the diorama feel to the game.  I've found quite a few hidden scrolls by peeking my head around corners and stuff.  It's just so well done.  Walking through the little town I just wanted to grab the little mice lol.

It's a work of art. I loved every minute of it.

I’m waiting on my ps vr from eBay still but I got a good haul this last week.

Resident Evil 7 (game stop)
Paranormal Activity (Best Buy)
Doom VR (game stop)
(PS store)
Superhot
Justice league
Until dawn rush of blood
Battlefront
PS Worlds
Thumper
Tumble
Here They Lie
NBA 2KVR
Carnival Games
I Expect You To Die
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

and a Playtronics Rig 4VR headset (eBay $24)

I went a little crazy, but tax time was good. 15 games, Skyrim bundle, a stand, a Platinum Wireless headset, and a Rig 4VR for about $525 total.

And I’m gonna sell the Wireless headset and the Move controllers to make it a net of around $375.

Just eager to play them all next week when I get everything in the mail. Thanks to everyone for the game opinions.
Were you looking for a buyer for the Move controllers? If so, what was your price point?

Replaced Catlateral with Windlands since Cat was so cheap. Now I'm going to buy Cat separately, but I can't decide if I should add more stuff to make sure I hit 100 this week or gamble on good sales. After buying Cat, I'll be less than 10 away from 100.
Pssshh...you're going to waste money on hot garbage like Catlateral Damage just to save $15 later on? Seems counterproductive to me.

On Targets website the Farpoint bundle is listed at $59.99 but it looks like it’s not available at any stores. Will Best Buy match that price or only physical ads?

If it’s at least in stock online they will probably match it. As you probably know, GCU doesn’t stack with price matches though.

I’m glad everyone seems to be loving Moss. Trying hard to resist buying!

$60 was my price point for Farpoint bundle and I picked it up on Amazon when it was at $60.  It is so worth it too.  I just wish the game was longer! (as I do with pretty much all VR story driven games I've played thus far)

I actually tried to PM it to best buy a few days ago but they wouldn't do it since it was out of stock. It ended up only being $63.XX after GCU so only a few bucks more. Good luck.

That's exactly why I haven't picked it up yet. It's always been around $60 since launch, after GCU or the current target price. I'm waiting for a real drop before I pick it up.

Just buy it and feel good about helping this developer lol. It's a great game and they have added a ton of post-launch content for free just because the game was such a labor of love for them. These guys deserve to be rewarded. They essentially set the standard for the Aim controller.

Plus Bravo Team comes out next week!

I preordered Super Hot for $19.50 shipped from base.co m. I also just preordered Arizona Sunshine for $19.90 and Fruit Ninja for like $17 shipped.
So I was double checking this morning and superhot is indeed ~$19.50. It made me put in credit card info to see the updated amount. Wish I’d bought from them and saved some money, but I had already confirmed my order on eBay by the time you had posted.

But az sunshine and fruit ninja prices still don’t match up to what you posted. Are you sure 19.90 and 17 were “$” and not “£”

Importing your own songs into Starship Disco is cool. The first song I used was Life Will Change, and it's really making me wish Atlus would give details for the US release of the new Persona dancing games. Which according to the Japan release, will have some VR support.

After playing more songs it made me think about pulling out Rock Band. Also, I like playing with two Move controllers best.

Every time I think of Starship Disco I have to stop myself from calling it Cafe Disco. The name of an episode from The Office.

I enjoyed playing my own songs in Starship Disco as well.  Games that let you create your level via mp3, like Beat Hazard, Riff Racer or Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, will always score big with me. But I have to confess that Starship Disco didn't seem to be very intune with my kind of music. The amount of enemies that appeared were just so low in my tunes, I wonder if the algorithms is more centered around a completely different style.

Gf is really only interested in trying the local multi-player VR games; what are some of The options for this?

For those of you who bought Moss, did they manage to fix the camera. I just got through with the demo and really enjoyed the art and the gameplay. But the camera kept jerking and repostioning. It was starting to cause a headache and some nausea but the demo ended before it could get too bad. I wouldn’t have expected to get sick from a third person puzzle platformer

The free Rec Room game is a must. Also Keep Talking and No One Explodes is a.... blast. ;)
I have to admit that Keep Talking does look like a pretty good game, and one I would certainly like to try, but the fact that it is local co-op only (which is completely understandable in this situation) kills it for me. Girlfriend doesn't play games and all my other "real life" friends live way too far away. :( I feel like I miss out on a lot of really good games, like this, Towerfall and Overcooked (to name a few) for this very reason.

I didn't experience that in the demo or in the final game really. The only time I've seen it somewhat shaky/jumpy is if I'm moving my head physically through the level to look around and behind walls and stuff. It's not always happening either but I've seen it happen a few times.

I didn't experience drift or any shaky cam stuff. I did remember the demo being much blurrier and Reddit tends to agree that the final is higher rez and much cleaner. I said it earlier but picture quality is top 5 PSVR for me.

I find it strange how some people say the demo was blurry.  I played it on an OG PS4 and it wasn't the least bit blurry for me.  It's probably one of the sharpest looking games I've played on PSVR.  Makes me wonder if some people just don't have their IPD settings correct.

I didn't think it looked blurry on the demo either, on a PS4 Pro though.

The word that Fatbo3 used "drift" is a very good choice of words for what I was trying to explain when I said "shaky/jumpiness" that I have experienced a few times.  It's like the whole level kind of drifts into a new position, and it definitely did make me feel a bit weird.

I'm actually kind of surprised that Moss has been making me feel weird considering it's pretty much a stationary camera.  I have noticed the last 2 nights after I've played, I've had a bit of a "VR" headache that I didn't really have until a bit after I was done playing.  It could also have had to do with me being really tired both nights too.

But damn, you can feel how much love was put into Moss.  There are so many little touches that are just incredible.  Just basic stuff like how she climbs and when she hangs on a ledge, and her feet dangle below.  You can feel the weight and see her kind of struggle to get herself up.  And the animation on the lunging attack, along with her little scream, is absolutely incredible and perfect.  It's hard to explain but you will know exactly what I mean when you experience it.

I absolutely love how Quill will try to give you hints by acting out some stuff that you need to do.  I won't spoil with any details really because it's so cute to see first hand, but her "pew pew" moments have me smiling like a 5 year old reading a popout book.

I would like to thank a user here for their typo of "The Impatient" for giving me the inspiration to search that on eBay and end up winning a new copy shipped for $24 as one of the only bidders.

It's shit like this that almost makes me believe in destiny and some sort of governing force in the universe. If only it didn't just amount to me sitting in my undies wearing a funny headset with colored lights and playing a video game.

Ah well, it's a good price, I'll take this victory lap.

What are the IPD settings?

Interpupillary distance is the distance between eyes and calibrating it can help with blurriness. Here's how to set it:

https://www.vrheads.com/how-manually-set-your-ipd-playstation-vr

Personally, i never benefits from it but reddit has a few true believers in how it can improve visual quality.
It works.

Setup the psvr for my brother in law over Christmas for his eyes.
Bring the psvr home and when I fired it up.... holy crap the games were blurry. Set it back for me, all good.

If someone thinks it does not work... set the distance way off from what it needs to be for you, then tell me there is no difference.

If the change is minor, obviously the perception is it doesn’t work.

Interesting that people are talking about the blurriness in the Moss demo. I got my headset this week and the first game I tried was the Moss demo. I thought it looked a little blurry, but didn't know if I just didn't have it set right. I also don't have a pro.

I measured my IPD online and it told me 62.68mm and I believe the default for PSVR is 63mm, so adjusting it may not do anything for me.

I wasn't that impressed with the first few things I tried in VR and I think it was partially that the graphics didn't look that great. Then I tried the X-wing Battlefront mission and that was really cool. I thought the graphics looked great in that although I did have times where things looked a little blurry. I haven't had a chance to use the VR helmet again since the first day, but tomorrow's the start of my weekend and plan to get a bunch of time with it this weekend.

Weird, Blasters of the Universe's price decreased since Tuesday. It went from 20 to 15 before discount and it's now at 12.74 after discount.

Funnily enough, if I bought it now, it'd put me at $99.96 spent for the week.
