Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

GT Bundle back in stock on Amazon but $279?! Same bundle selling out on Bestbuy, not within 250 miles of me now. I got one but am considering buying the Skyrim bundle instead for the hdr passthrough for my Pro and glorious Sony X930E. Was able to get move controllers for 20% off so $80. So that’s $280 vs $350, is the V2 worth the extra $70?? I’m so indecisive.

Ended up picking up Paranormal Activity at BB just because I was driving by it and like RE7 atmosphere. They only had 1 left.
Got one too, don't see anything about a physical copy online. So this may become super rare. My Best Buy only had one as well. The only Best Buy in NYC that had it in stock at all.

Got the Gran Turismo bundle a few days ago.  Luckily I had already picked up physical copies of  VR Worlds, Robinson, Psychonauts and Job Simulator for my collection so had quite a few things to play.

I knew what to expect from most of the games thanks to watching Giant Bomb play through most of em when the games launched, but games like Job Simulator are so much more fun experiencing for yourself.

Can anyone comment on how useful the Farpoint controller is for games other than Farpoint? I'm interested in Farpoint but can wait, but if the controller is generally useful for several other games I wouldn't mind a reason to pull the trigger (no pun intended).

Everyone says it's great for DOOM!
I've only used it on Farpoint and Doom, Yes it's great for Doom. The stupid grenade in left hand does get annoying... but you do get used to it.

Arizona Sunshine I have not played, but I guess the Aim controller makes it better.

Go watch some youtube gameplays with the Aim on other games, there has to be some out there.

Sorting through the sale trying to find some good VR stuff to pick up. Anyone care to weigh in on whether any of these are worth getting (or maybe best of the bunch since I won't get them all)?

Archangel
Tumble
Ancient Amuletor
Mortal Blitz
Sneaky Bears

I went to Best Buy last night because one of those inventory tracker sites said they had some in stock, but they didn't.

I don't understand why it's so rare and why it's not sold on bestbuy.com.  People on eBay are selling them for $75 which is ridiculous considering you can buy the digital version for half that.

Stupid Best Buy.  Stupid devs.  Stupid inventory tracking sites.

Sneaky Bears isn't worth $10. It is decent, but short. Not a whole lot of content and little replay value. I picked it up for $5 (I think) a couple of months ago, and I would say it was worth that.

Anyone played The Invisible Hours? Noticed it is on sale at Gamestop for $15.
It's great but is the epitome of a walking sim. Essentially you are walking around a mansion trying to figure out a murder but since numerous things are taking place at the same time throughout the story you either need to rewind time (something you can do easily) or replay section entirely. The story, acting, and sense of place are fantastic but the visuals are a bit blurry due to brute forcing the game into PSVR. It barely fits into my "glad I paid 30 to support the team" attitude but at 15 it's a much easier recommend if what I described sounds appealing. FYI it's historical fiction about Tesla so there's a strong sci-fi element as well.

Are there multiple endings or is it a one and done game?

Nobody should have any issues getting a store to order them a copy with the sku. The distribution center had 350 copies the last time I looked. ;)

Have you guys tried SuperHot? I tried it on my friend's Oculus and thought it was fun and am wondering If it holds up in PSVR. (trying to decide which games I want to pick up with the 20% off code form PSN)

I really wish they put out more PSVR demos.  I feel like there are quite a few games I'm skeptical about spending $20-$30 on but a demo could easily change my mind.

There are numerous plot threads ending at once so you either need to replay a chapter or rewind. There's a minor bit of gameplay as you can't open doors so to go behind the few locked doors in the house you have to find the point in the story where the character opens them to follow. Otherwise it's like watching a memory but more theatrical.

I finally had a chance to play Archangel. It's great at the sale price imo as a rail shooter with a lot of coordination required, great VO, good graphics, and good production value. It's still an indie budget and all but it does what it's trying to do pretty well. No plat for those wondering.

I know it's old news now but if anyone is interested in Skyrim PSVR I still have mine sealed and looking to get rid of it.  I'm willing to trade it for some PS store credit of some sort or flat out sell it.  Shoot me a PM if interested.

I know a lot of people here like Thumper, and I'm not trying to dis anyone by asking this, I'm seriously curious because I love a good deal as much as anyone, but does the game get any better than what was on the VR demo disc?  My entire impression of it from the demo disc was repetitive gameplay while listening to crappy music. Not that I don't think some repetitive gameplay can be fun, but it felt like all I was doing was hitting left and right while going around curves.  I mean, do you get weapons, or abilities, or anything to spice it up?  Does the God-awful music get any better?

The music in Thumper isn't music I'd listen to in my car or anything, but I thought it fit the trippy visuals of the game perfectly.  To me it's just a trippy ass game that was fun on the demo disc.

Not that into fishing games or ff games, how is monsters of the deep? Im not, not into them just not the biggest fan
Pretty good graphics, lots of content with efficient recycling (same areas at different times of day, different monsters, fish, etc.) and lots of post game content. Fishing is chill and not especially difficult with DS or Move though a bit janky with both due to motion controls. Difficulty goes up some over time where solution is more about using better lines and right lure than improving fishing technique. "Campaign" is only a couple of hours but again it's much more about fighting a few boss fish and FF fan service than some meaningful story. If you want to a chill game with some grinding, good graphics, and a plat trophy sale price is great.

I made it to world 4 and kinda lost interest. New obstacles show up changing the way you move and press X but it's always percussive. Also after Megaton Rainfall I realized that Thumper uses forward rendering which is why it looks good but doesn't have much depth to it, limiting the VR aspect to me. If I was buying a game with simple mechanics to play for fun I'd get super hypercube.

Does anyone other than the main four and Cindy show up? Iris, Aranea, Cor?

I'm tempted to grab Monster of the Deep but I think I'm gonna wait for 50% off. Will probably finally grab Arizona Sunshine this time. Good sale price plus I'm always interested in more games that use the Aim controller. Still waiting on a solid sale on Dick Wilde, seems like that game never really goes on sale, or at least not as often.

Apparently the guy who introduces you to fishing is the regular game is in it.

I uninstalled Dick Wilde without getting a single trophy. Aim implementation seems solid but it was extremely difficult so heads up on that.

I just want to say that holy shit, Resident Evil 7 in VR is incredible.  The game is freaky as hell and has such an awesome atmosphere, but on top of that it's just an incredible game that reminds me A LOT of RE1.  And it's just as scary, if not more because of VR, than RE1 was.  I actually find myself sometimes convincing myself NOT to play it when I have some free time because I know it's going to be scary and stressful to play, but then I suck it up and just play it.

I'm probably 3 hours or so into it and have loved every minute and been scared a lot more than I ever would have expected.  Hell just walking around corners I am going slow with my gun drawn and peeking around the corner lol.  Just a phenomenal game IMO.

Did anyone else order RE7 standard edition from Target website during BF for $15? My order has been stuck in processing limbo since then with 2 expected delivery dates come and gone.  Luckily I got in on the $24 gold edition from the BB glitch but man this delay is about 4 weeks now.

I didn't bother with Target for RE7 since they didn't have any in store.  I just went to BB and got it for $20.  Wasn't worth a measly $5 to wait it out with an online order.

You'll have to let us know what you think of Arizona Sunshine. Initial reviews were not very kind, but I'd be interested in knowing if patches have fixed those complaints.

I did try Doom VFR under a guest account (I didn't want to start collecting trophies until I was ready to play through it.) Tough to play as a lefty, kept wanting to move the gun to the other side of my body, but enjoyed it quit quite a bit for what I played.

Walmart.com has the PSVR GT Bundle (V1) for $179.00. Must be available for store pickup.
Can someone please explain what I will be missing if I go with this first gen model? I hear the only difference is "HDR passthrough capability". What exactly does that mean? I'm pretty positive my TV has HDR (it's a higher end 2015 Samsung 65" model) so I don't want to miss out on a major feature by going with the old unit.
