As for an Aipom, I actually do want one of those. I put a female Piplup up for trade a few days ago, asking for an Aipom. I'll check it sometime today to see if anyone traded me. If not, I'd like an Aipom. No one seems to offer those. I can give you a Phione or any of the starters of this generation easy. It'd be even better if you could rename the Aipom for me. But I'll let you know.
 
Good to see this thread isn't dead. So does anyone have a Deoxys they would trade back and forth so I can get it into my Nat Dex and trade for one on the GTS?
 
i have one but no Wifi Sorry. But if find people a lil nervous to do that you get the info if you battle that Pokemon too. Just remember that you have to finish the battle to log the pokemon.

Im hoping Ill have Wifi by the time Heart Gold comes out.
I may wind up buyin a that Nintendo adapter thing.
i hop those things are cheap now.
 
If I don't need to trade I am super fine with just battling to get the pokemon like Deoxys on my National Dex. Anyone have some pokemon like Darkrai or Deoxys that they want to Wifi battle me with so I can get them into my dex? That way I can use the GTS to get the ones I need.
 
I've been meaning to post in this thread, since I can finally get the damn wireless working now.

Anyway, the main son of a bitch I'm looking for right now is Feebas. I've gone through that entire lake so many times, I'm ready to pull my hair out. Is this thing breed-able, that someone wouldn't mind sharing? :) Glameow and Purugly would be cool too, so I can stop playing Pearl.

Also: if anyone needs a Jirachi, I've got the old GC bonus disc, so I can get two a day (Ruby and Sapphire), if anyone's interested.

WormFOODx: I should have both Darkrai and Deoxys, as well as four day weekends ;) If you're looking to battle those two, shoot me a PM. I'll be around tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Scoring a Jirachi would be bad ass. Whenever you have time is fine by me, I'm in no rush for one.

Utopian, do you still need an Aipom? I've got a few left after trading (made 7 trades yesterday, woot!) so I can hook you up. Think they are all female too, so you could breed more if you wanted.

Thank you for battling me today! Unfortunately it didn't add it to my National Dex, which I thought it would.

Anyone out there in Phoenix that would want to meet and trade them back and forth so I can get them in my dex? The purpose of me doing this is so that I can trade around on GTS to get Deoxys and Darkrai, which you need on you Dex to do.

Sorry I didn't stick around to see if it went through -- I literally disconnected and ran out the door to get to a doc appointment :) PMed about temp trading Deoxsys and Darkrai.

How does this little trick work? I have the GC bonus disc, I have a GBA SP, I have the cable, and I have Sapphire. I was under the impression that it only worked once. Are you starting new game files each day?

Basically, yeah. I've transferred all the Sapphire Pokemon into Platinum, so I just start a new file.

Not at all, you helped me out a lot. Thanks for letting me get them in my Dex later on. Now I just have to find someone on GTS that wants something reasonable (for me) for their Darkrai or Deoxys. At the least I just need Deoxys because I can get a Darkrai from Pokemon Ranger.

Hmm, I thought when I bred pokemon that they got all of the moves of the male pokemon, assuming it was a move they could learn by breeding or a move that they learned from level up. The high level Heracross I used to breed didn't pass on any of his higher up moves like Close Combat or Megahorn.
 
Anyone have good suggestions with regards to organizing pokemon in boxes? I have boxes based on type, plus a "for trade" box, and an "Inbox" from which I triage out newly caught pokes.

I'm running out of room in some boxes, and pokes are getting disorganized. Does any one have a good system? If I don't come up with something, I'll end up letting it get pretty bad, and then will probably end up buying Pokemon Ranch.

Im gonna buy Pokemon Ranch to for that problem cause when ur got 5 pkmn version putting them in one version is tough. Plus i want another Mew

I go with pokemon type as boxes names. and sometimes i have double type boxes. to keep the flow smooth when im breeding.
But i also keep a couple of boxes like
Active- for active teams and TM slaves
Breed- where i keep pkmn im breeding and eggs i need to hatch
Legends- where i keep all my legends so its cool to have them in one place
Catch- a box for when i catch pkmn so they dont get mixed up

This is almost exactly how I do it. I don't have an active box, but I have all the others. I also have an "Extra" box for pokes from GTS or whatever that I am keeping to try to win the lottery.:)

I use the same system as you except that I don't dedicate an entire box to a specific type. I just fill each box as I go along. I have maybe 16 of them full now. That's why I can't wait to for HG/SS. I really want to transfer some them over, no matter how time consuming it will be.
 
Me too. Im gonna get Pokemon Ranch to help me out.
My old Diamond had a full Pokedex with boxes that had no room. Then I got Platinum had to transfer alot of pokemon to that version.

Also I use boxes with duel types. Like Dark/Ghost stuff like that.
 
I understand that Pokemon Ranch isn't quite as good as Pokemon Box was... Supposedly you can't withdraw pokemon that aren't yours? e.g., you can't use it to mass trade guys from your Platinum game to your upcoming HG/SS game. Just something to keep in mind.

I still might get it since its only 100 points on Goozex.
Not 1000 Wii points.

Anyone have a Charmander to trade? If possible, a male with Flare Blitz learned as an egg move? Also looking for a male Eevee with the Shadow Ball egg move.

Still don't have much, but could provide any DPP starter, Piplup with Ice Beam egg move, or Eevee with Wish egg move.
 
I just pre-ordered HeartGold on Amazon today.
I feel better way better now that I know ill have it on Day 2 it comes out.

Flare Blitz isn't one of Charmander's egg moves, and Shadow Ball isn't one of Eevee's.

Serebii says Flare Blitz is, and I figured the Eevee that you get from Pokemon Ranch could pass on Shadow Ball. If Serebii isn't accurate, where are you looking to see what egg moves are available for each pokemon?

Also, I figured Shadow Ball would pass since it's a TM, and Ice Beam passed on to egg Piplups I made, even though it's not listed as an egg move.
