Official PSP Firmware 4.05 coming soon!

I visualize another crappy update. --Meanwhile Dark Alex invents save states to save any game at anytime on your PSP. Viva la CFW!

if we could listen to music while a game is loading or even while scrolling through photos, that'd be worth an update...visualizers? meh
 
I still don't know how custom firmware figured out multitasking so long ago while Sony doesn't even seem to know what that means.
 
Is it too hopeful to focus on the "among other features"? Probably. It's par for the course when it comes to SONY firmware updates.

Firmware 4.05 features hidden support for movie and TV service

While the official changelog of firmware 4.05 is underwhelming, it does feature a key hidden feature: support for movie and TV service. According to this support page on PlayStation.com, "Support for PLAYSTATION®Store Movies and TV video service" has also been added in firmware 4.05. Undoubtedly, we're going to find out more about this service during tomorrow's E3 conference.

I found a used Lumines (Serial ULUS 10002). Can this UMD be used to downgrade my firmware and start homebrewing?

My Pandora battery didn't work, so I haven't had a chance to try CFW yet. What multitasking things can you do with CFW?

With irshell I know for sure that you can play music during games and while browsing the web. Not sure about pictures, but I think you can... While playing games you can mute different channels to mute the game's music but keep the SFX, for example. It works really well.
 
I've heard you can now download your favorite porn straight to your psp from the Playstation store with the new firmware update! Thanks Sony!

That sounds great, gotta try that when i get my psp and if I can get cfw on it.
