So has anyone seen if there were any Best Buys that broke the GH2 street date? or has it already come out universally? I'm tempted to pick this game up but I'm dead broke.

Oh yeah, thanks Markman for the heads up about the McRib, I had one last night and it was the freakin bomb. And I think it was a super great value. Haha, I also had a chicken sandwich with Big Mac sauce, that was perty good as well. Man, I gotta upgrade from being a McGriddle eating nerd. -_- Need real food... uhhh.

The one off Paradise Valley Rd. is $1.89 while the one in National City is $2.69... :(
 
Haha, it's 1.89 over in UTC area. Looks like I gotta horde all the McRibs and sell em for 2.50 haha. But yeah, that's a bummer, they should all be 1.89.
 
Did anybody get Guitar Hero 2 yet or does anybody know any stores that are selling it?

I just heard it has widescreen and progressive scan and now I really want to play it. Today is my first free weekend night in a while, so I'm just drinking by myself. Playing Guitar Hero 2 would make the perfect night at home.
 
Yeah, it's awesome. My office had its Christmas party/luncheon there last year. I was really impressed and have been meaning to go back since.

Markman, did you get your Wii and PS3 pre-order's at TRU? Was it worth the wait?

I was up in OC today and got a McRib meal (thanks to Markman). $4.89 for the meal. The problem is that you need a 2nd McRib or something else to supplement the meal...one just isn't enough...

If anyone is hungry at odd hours of the day, before 2 AM... visit Zarlitos in National City, off 8th St. Order Tapsilog or Tocilog... It's well worth it trust me.

Basically it's a Filipino dish that consists of fried rice, egg, and meat...

i'm going back home in a couple of weeks (gee, haven't been home for a year). so...anyone camping out for a wii? i should be back in town on saturday night...think i'm gonna head straight to a toys r us or a best buy or something instead of going home to see my mom who i haven't seen in a year, haha.
 
just threw back a McRib this afternoon. it tasted different than last year, if i remember correctly. it was still good. they're $1.89 on Broadway (near I St.) in Chula Vista. giant sodas are still 99c, by the way (i think at all McDs).
 
Hmm, yeah, I also noticed that the McRib tastes different, but yeah, still taste damn good.

So do you guys like Filipino food? Now I got the hankering for some empanadas. My favorite ones came from Jomar's which I think is in Palm Ave by Walmart, however I think they closed down T.T. There are also good chicken ones over at Valerios, I forget which one, one has sucky ones and the other has excellent ones.

btw, Tita's barbeque is the bawmb. I think I once got Fried Chicken skins over there once, or maybe another place, but those were super good. MMM, heart clogging goodness.
 
By the way.. it's funny how this thread was kind of dead before we started talking about food.

My little brother says McRibs at SDSU are $2.59 each! Poor guy.

Doesn't EB price match? I went to the EB on El Cajon & College and the guy said they wouldn't match Fry's FF12 for $37.99. (This was after I just price matched a game at the same store 2 months ago). Anyone know the official company position on price matching? Did I just get a cool manager a while back?
 
It's totally up to the management. I know mall stores say that they can only price match within the mall.

Man, I'm trying to sell these PS3s, but there are so many weirdos contacting me about it lol.
 
How many pre-orders did you get? What's your price range? I'm not interested in buying but I'm wondering how much money people are willing to throw down for a PS3.

I just checked ebay and $1500 looks like the going price.
 
That's sweet. I bet the ebay prices will go up when tons of people don't get them on launch day and start getting desperate. I'm starting to consider getting a Wii. However, Zelda is really the only reason I want one right now. I don't know if it's worth it.
 
I'm getting a Wii primarily for Zelda, but also so my daughter can play games too. Zelda alone should be reason enough for me to purchase a Wii. And it is. :)

i think the PS3 is gonna be the first system that i don't buy/play for a LONG time. stunningly, i have zero interest in the lineup, and the price takes me back to the days of the 3DO! i own one now, of course, but i also only paid 20 bucks for it. and 44 systems? i think i miiiiight have you beat, there. i'll need to count again. ;)

44 systems yea. And 3 arcade games. :) It will be 48 systems come mid Nov.

Anyone else here collect games? I've been collecting seriously for about 3 years now. Been a bit slow lately since SD sucks for finding retro games now.
