Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

When I bought Full Auto 2, the employees were all looking at the screen as if it were a mistake. I know they were thinking how could a PS3 game be $0.97. I explained it started out a lot more but it dropped in price every month and since it was not tagged it went to $0.97 without being bought.

These are still September drops (at least for my stores). Tomorrow is the October drops, but I have yet to see anything posted from our Sears employee sources that indicates anything good will drop tomorrow. (Some stuff to 19.97 but I'm talking about the 2-5 dollar range).

Eh, I'm not too upset about it. I didn't want to run the risk of the MSRP reinstatement. I probably overpaid for Haze, but I'm perfectly content with the Viking price.
 
Does anyone know if Sears will restock the Sansa line of MP3 players, I want to buy a sansa clip but the only ones they have are very overpriced older models. I was wondering if they were going to restock with the newer sansa clip's or if they are just discontinuing the models from Sears. The reason I ask is I have a gift card to sears and would like to buy the player there.

Also I saw one iPod nano in the case at Sears in Amherst, NY. It was tagged $139 but I forget which gen it was, sorry. If anyone wants this it might be a deal for you.
 
I just started Viking yesterday and it's fun enough. These games seem awesome knowing you paid $5 or less for them...Blacksite was surprisingly fun too.

Yeah truly. Bourne, Stranglehold, Viking, Condemned 2 etc etc...all great bargains. I've still got Blacksite in my backlog too! Unless some other store pulls off some amazing details at Thanksgiving, Sears gets my vote for retailer of the year.

I wonder if we're going to see Rock Band Special Edition for PS3 drop. :D I'd love to go to my local Sears and be able to buy both of them they have in stock for $20 as opposed to $20 apiece. :D

SEARS gets my vote also. Hollywood Video is the close 2nd.
 
Checked out my local Sears today, only drops are regular $19.99 and $29.99 games(sports,wrestling,generic). Found a few old game only GH Aerosmiths they must've shipped in though.

Sara my friends work at the Amherst store, told me there is Ipod stuff in the back so might be worth asking for sansa clips. They can probably check inventory. Heck they had a RockBand 360 for 19$ in the back room last month.
 
Checked the Sears in Fort Wayne after doing some garage sales. There wasn't anything new. I also noticed the bottom of the games cases were empty. For some reason, they moved them to the back.
 
fuck! When I looked two days ago, there was one copy of MGS4 sitting amongst the games in the bottom of the case. I noted it, and came back today to grab it with the start of the new clearance round...

...and all of the games in the bottom of the case are *gone*. I asked an employee, and he said they just pulled a whole pile of games (basically all of the ones in the bottom of the case) to send back to the manufacturers because they hadn't sold. He checked for me in the back, but everything was already gone.

Now there's nothing but current titles left, so I guess Sears clearance has dried up for the forseeable future. It was great while it lasted. :(

Maybe if there was a nuclear holocaust. The K-Mart bundles that were at that price before are all cleared out now.

Maybe it just seems great to me because I'd trade/trade in the game, mic, guitar and just keep the drums as I have the rest.

There is a coupon for BB floating around out there for this weekend that will work on clips and I don't think I will have a problem buying one there so I'll probably just get it there. I have another $25 visa gift card I got from a contest so I also plan on using that to pay for it and I don't know if I could combine both for payment. Judging by the extremely outdated prices on the clips and the fact that there aren't any Sandisk items at all on the sears website last time I checked I am leaning towards the fact that they are discontinued at Sears. There weren't any in stock at the Amherst store, just a couple of old ones in the display case, the bottom MP3 case was very empty, so if they were there I didn't see them.. I am not interested in an older model either, I want the new clip plus with the expandable memory, so asking for items in the back wouldn't help. I'll be in another mall tomorrow so I will try to ask the clerks there about it. If they say there is a possibility of restocking I will wait to buy it. But thanks for helping.

About the only thing I'd do with the set is put it up on Craigslist closer to the holidays and hope some suckerrrrrr.....parents buy the fuckin' thing for $60-80 off of me for their spoiled brats for Christmas. But being the true CAG I am, I wanna make sure I'm paying the smallest amount I possibly can for it, so here's hoping it drops to $1.97 and is still around by then. :pray:

I can confirm the drop on RB1 PS3 to $14.97

Picked one up and traded it in at a game/dvd/cd store for the Bourne Trilogy on Blu-ray. Even got a nickel back from it. :D

I got $48 in trade for it after paying $15 + tax. Pretty good.

This one wasn't marked, but the ones marked at $43.xx were sold this week at the Chapel Hill, OH Sears. I picked mine up at the Sears in Middleburg Heights, OH(on W. 130th St.) along with a black Nyko Innercooler for 360($.48), a Nyko 360 charger w/2 batteries(marked @$.99, but rang up @$1.97, but the lady corrected the price to the marked price:D), and a playstation USB->mini USB cord for $.99

All in all a pretty successful trip, even though I originally went to try to win Miley Cyrus tickets for my neice, but I don't think I won the drawing. :(
 
Pikmin New play control for the Wii is down to 19.97 or 19.99. I spent my gift card on that and bought the sandisk clip at best buy with the coupon and the other gift card. Also saw some 4GB sandisk fuse players for 49.97 clearance, not a bad deal cause BB sells them for twice as much. Sandisk clip 2GB was 39.99 clearance, not worth it as you can get the 4GB Clip Plus for 44.99 at BB with 10% off coupon that is floating around out there. Just in case anyone wonders where my money went this weekend, lol.
 
Are the prices of the discounted items in Sears on the tags, or do you have to bring them up to get them price checked? And how do you find out what is on sale? Do you ask a worker what is on clearance?

just a quick update on the OP:

if anyone noticed (i obviously didnt), the PS3 and Wii section of the first post is missing. I dont know exactly how this happened (although i do have an idea).. i swear that it loaded fine when i edited them added ferant's recent drop list.

im going to speak to io about this and find out if we can retrieve em back. if not, we may have lost that piece of data forever. but, its better that those 2 are gone instead of the others (like the 360, psp and ds, which are currently more active). maybe i would have prefered to have lost the gamecube and xbox section instead.. either way, i'll find out for sure. if worst comes to worst, i will ask everyone again to remind me of what PS3 games they've purchased over the last 4 to 6 months at sears.

Could this have possibly happened because this thread is so long? I know extra long threads have sometimes lead to problems (and I think one of them may have been missing information/posts).

What a sweet deal :applause: I'd love to get another hard drive. When I bought my 360 I was thinking 60gb would be plenty, but then I forgot about downloading games to the hard drive. I'm still okay, but one or two more games and I will be full, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on one, especially when I see the prices people are getting it for... I love the 360, now if I could just find a cheap hard drive and wireless adapter I would be satisfied!

You have to look through the cases/bins and if you see one of the items listed as being on clearance in this thread in the case you ask the workers to price check it for you.

Under no circumstances(unless you have a friend who works for Sears and they're working)should you ask what is on sale/clearance, since you may be told that the item(s) are not in stock when they're in the back room because the employees wanna buy them.

And before anyone comes into the thread who works for Sears and gets all indignant about me insinuating that CAG's may know more about the clearance than the normal employees, just take a deep breath and RELAX. But I have had employees act all shocked and annoyed with me grabbing 2-3 or more clearance items before that they either didn't know about or they were waiting to drop to .97.

It was probably the latter, but if they wanted them they should've bought them sooner.

It could be that the first post reached its character limit and had to eliminate some stuff, so it could've just randomly eliminated stuff. That's why it always helps to keep the first 2-3 posts of a new thread reserved for future use, though with the way these threads fill up they're usually closed/locked before the lists become THAT long.

As for the drops, I wish I had kept my receipts, since I'd love to get back some of the $$$ on the Vision cameras.

The other day I got Wii Rampage Total Destruction for $1.97 and finally bit the bullet and got PS3 Kane & Lynch for $4.97 even though I've passed on it at $5.00 for a while I figured what the hell.
