Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

i ask everyone to please refrain from quoting the new drop list if you want to get in on any of those deals :)

i will update the op with the new drops next week when everyone have had a chance to grab what they can just in case the list gets posted on another forum.

as for rock revolution, its a shame the company that pretty much pioneered the guitar and drum games cant even do a great job. they had some potential there but they fell way too short.

You're a hypocrite. You complain about Gamestop's attitude toward consumers while you openly brag about screwing over any and everyone to make a profit.

You're actually worse than Gamestop. They at least provide jobs in this economy, and some consumers actually find deals there occasionally.

You stay classy though. :)

Unlike other CL sellers, I won't just stand him up, but since he decided to try and haggle for another $5 off my asking price he may get the 'newsed' copy that I've been playing since September.:D It's still in mint/complete condition, but it only has little packing tape seals as opposed to being 100% shrinkwrapped like the one I might sell the game shop.

For $40(which is a meager $8 and change over what I paid), he's still getting a deal and I have the chance to make money in two deals today.

You may think I'm in the wrong for selling him something I've been playing, but for him haggling that means it's fair game for me to give him a lesser product.:razz:

As for me being a hypocrite, look around you, this site isn't exactly a place of virtue and honesty anymore. All you need to do to see that is look at last week's Best Buy B2G1 sale where people purposely planted the most expensive game as the middle one to get new releases for free as opposed to the lowest priced game.

Not really. I suck at haggling for one and for another I realize that people selling on CL are just trying to get a reasonable amount for their stuff(well, except for the people wanting $90 for a 2001 model PS2 with every Madden).

I've been there and I've had people haggle the shit out of me and I just tell them bluntly that the amount I put up is the minimum I'm willing to take. They don't like it, then they can get lost.

As for my reasoning on trying to sell it to the game shop before I sell to him. It's still MY item until HIS money is in MY hands and as such I can do whatever I want with it. But I will try to let him know if I sell it prior to meeting, so he doesn't waste his time like I did MANY times before.

It's happened to me before, where people sold stuff we had agreed upon a deal for and while it does infuriate you, they have no legal requirement to hold anything and wait for you to pay.

Honestly, I don't think we'll have that problem this time since the prices are mostly $9.97 and it's about 70% sports titles. I'm only looking at a handful of titles I'm actually interested in at $9.97.
 
Can we buy in advance and then pricematch after prices go down on the 6th? I bought Pikmin this morning (at $19.9X) because I wasn't paying attention.

1) How can Lips be Old Posted Price of $0? It is $49.99 at my Sears (I checked today).

2) If these are scheduled to drop Nov 6, would it be wise to buy Lips today, and then exchange/refund for credit on the 6th? I REALLY want to get this Lips on the $25 sale (been looking for months).

bad thing nascar and football 2009 are almost the same as 2008.... smackdown 2009 takes out the entire manager thing of smackdown soi think 2008 is better...

Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.

So... I would advise against #2, unless you just want to roll the dice.

My Sears NEVER marks anything down. I mean, very very rarely.

I went to my Sears with a huge list of things I wanted to scope out and the guy helping me told me when they all went on clearance and when he subsequently bought them all. It was really depressing, because I was hoping for a good find. I'm probably not going to head back there since I know they pick all the deals up.
 
For me it's not even a matter of clearance; the Sears by my college just doesn't stock many games. The few clearance titles they have are crap that's been sitting there for God-knows-how-long.

The Sears back home, on the other hand, is awesome and a place where I frequently find good deals.
 
The Sears in Bossier City, LA has a 29.99 and under clearance table for games with over 100 DS, Wii, 360, PSP, PS3 games including:

Lips for 24.99 and MGS3, Smackdown09, Madden 09, Live09, FIFA 09, QoS, Saints Row 2, etc. I asked an employee for a quick scan of 3 titles including MGS3, and he refused stating: "oh it's the price that's on the sticker" so I just stared at him for a minute and threw the games back..guess he didn't feel like working at all today since I was the only person in the entire department.

The Sears in Shreveport, LA has a 19.99 and under table anyway! ;)

Why thank you. Of course, after my two deals yesterday I'm in need of a mint copy of GTA IV, since I sold mine for $35 in the one SE.:roll:

All of my Blockbusters are 100% sold out of used copies and I don't feel like paying the $1.99 one night rental on top of the $15.89 used price for a copy.:razz:

Oh and I'm like you in that this new clearance list is pretty damn sucky.

1) if the old price is 0.00, that means the game was recently marked down or recently found. there was no old price but its own MSRP

2) if the sears you went to didnt have the Nov 6th drop, chances are its either

a) they find it unnecessary to mark them down/put them on clearance.
b) they havent gotten to them yet.

pray that its B. most of the time it is anyway so try again either tomorrow or monday when they all have nothing better to do. sears managers are lazy.. and it doesnt help that they have lazy electronics department clerks.

You two cracked me up. Christ, get over it. Gamestop's out to get money, and rightfully so. They take advantage of stupid people...Nothing wrong with that. However, Gamestop sucks because they "try" to do the same BS tactics to me, and everyone else on here, every time we walk in the store.

I can't blame IATCG for his actions...What he's doing on CL is far above the bar, in terms of politeness...At least from the stories my 17 y/o cousin told me he has done to his "customers".

Grabbed MadWorld Wii and Spider-man WoS for PSP today. Both were $9.97.

But Quantum of Solace for PS3 still rang up at $29.99? Are there multiple UPCs for this or is it regional clearance?
 
Everything is YMMV unfortunately. Some games will ring up full price at some stores. You could check another Sears but it could be full price there too.
 
Picked up an Eye of Judgment bundle for PS3 for $7.97 today at the Vernon Hills, IL Sears. Was unmarked sitting in a case, probably a return. Sales rep was shocked at the price.

It has been clearanced for a while. I really don't know why someone would return it, considering you can sell it on eBay for much more.

I know plenty of people that dont have the desire or know-how to sell on ebay. ( I know its not hard to put up auctions on ebay, but there are lazy people out there.)
 
Picked up the last copies of NPC Pikmin and Madworld at the Valencia, CA store today.

Both games were marked $19.97, but rang up $9.97.

Nothing really of interest clearance-wise at my local store.

But, I did notice that the tower of game bundles mentioned in the Black Friday thread got shoved onto the floor already. I saw the previously mentioned 2 packs of PS3 games for $29.99, DS bundles for $19.99 etc, but most of the games were either utter garbage or readily available for $10 or less online. Waste of time overall.
 
I found Silent Hill Homecoming for 9.97 today, but I think Im going to return it and wait till it drops to 4.97.

Willowbrook NJ Sears has two Lips and two In the Movies bundles left if anyone cares. Both are still one drop away until falling into the range I would pay but I am happy to pass on the information.

Don't know what the prices are. They are in the case, all in the back on the bottom, behind the intercoolers and other bundles.
 
Hmm. I missed the part where everyone said, "OMG I got DS Castlevania Order of Ecclasia for 9.97!!!!"

Tag was there, but games were gone. Guess that's what I get for being lazy and just checking the thread instead of checking the store. Also found:
